Since Front Street’s renewed interest in the “big girl” division, the Wiz and Pointy have more than a sporting interest as they sit ringside - more like scouting potential opponents? Or determining which fighters to avoid!

“This just might be the biggest fight in FCBA history?” speculates the Wiz. Pointy befuddled, “Biggest fight in history? Errr … two good fighters - taking nothing away - but there’s not even a title at stake?”

“Understood” chuckled the Wiz, “I didn't mean most important - I meant biggest - LITERALLY! Graham weighed in at 194; Lawley was 181 - these girls are literally heavyweights and that's the trend in what we call the welters - getting taller and heavier and with all that, even more athletic!”

Prior bout between these two when careers were just starting in 2018 - beach fight that ended up with Rockin’ Robyn winning by knockout in the sixth. The bout also ended with bad blood between the two, amplified on the part of Graham as she has had o watch Lawley’s career take off with a near record breaking tenty fight win streak and the welterweight title (since lost).

This fight goes a grueling nine rounds with the big girls alternately pounding each other. Lawley able to control early rounds, using long jab and legs to keep away from the shorter Graham, making the brunette pay with the straight right when she gets reckless. Graham able to bull Lawley to ropes in the 5th and 6th and pound to the body, bringing a sickly look to the towering blonde’s face - ad when she hammers those arms down, sneaks short left hook up top to toggle the chin.

Later rounds see Lawley’s superior conditioning begin to make its presence felt. Ashley’s pursuit and ability to cut ring less effective. Big Robyn now potshotting on occasion with right hand leads that buckle opponent’s knees. Early in the 9th round, Lawley feigns right lead, causing Graham to turtle. Form there, left to the ribs, left to the chin and straight right hand to the jaw and it’s tiiiiiiiimber! Ashley Graham staggers , drops to one knee and them tumbes to her side. Carnation corner screaming for her to get up as it is still a close fight on the cards but it is a no-go - referee counts “10” and winner by KO in the 95h - Robyn ‘Godzilla’ Lawley
