BEFORE
Carmella is at the podium. As usual Charlize is in her dressing room watching Carmella on the closed circuit TV. Carmella “”Earlier this year I got a call from Charlize wanting to know if I wanted to get into the ring with her. Of course. I said yes. Any fighter who has had success wants to fight her. Of course, she is staying in her age group like thirty eight to fifty two.I said I wanted to under some conditions. She fought or fights at lightweight. I fight at bantam. She is taller, but I am seven years younger. She fights at 126. I fight at 117. I said she had to lose five pounds and come in at 121. I would gain four pounds and come in at the same weight. She agreed. Charlize has taken a lot of heat recently about her loss to Torrie Wilson. They don’t talk about the twenty she has won this year. Everyone should know all fighters are going to lose a fight. I once lost to Jenny McCarthy. Can you believe that? Well I did. I can’t imagine what the talk is going to be after I beat her tonight. That’s what I plan to do, but of course Charlize has other ideas. You know she has been in the FCBA since the beginning. She was fighting before some of the currently hot fighters were born and she is still active. That’s pretty amazing. I suggested we fight on New Years Eve. Charlize said there are five days she don’t fight. New Years Eve and New Years day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because she is with her kids. The other day is her birthday. She isn’t going to spend her birthday with some brut trying to rearrange her face” Charlize turns to Kate Upton “That was a nice little speech. I hope she doesn’t fight tonight as good as she talks”

THE FIGHT

Carmella is in the ring wearing a orange bikini with black gloves and boots. Charlize comes down the aisle with the black robe over her shoulders, In the ring she doffs the robe revealing the usual red bikini, red glove and boots. The two meet in the center of the ring for the usual instructions which Charlize is hearing for the 474th time. They touch gloves and then Charlize give Carmella a hug whispering “Thanks for the nice talk”

Round 1. Carmella is on her stool waiting or the bell. Her cornerman says “our advantage is that you have the faster hands, but don’t take Charlize lightly. She may be old, but those great legs are still working. Everyone knows to beat her you have to take those legs away. Don’t forget that” The bell rings and Carmella moves the the center of the ring meeting Theron who is there at the same time. Carmella avoids the usual right jab that Theron is known to use at the beginning of a fight. She lands a right jab of her own and then a left cross. A round house right from Charlize just misses and Carmella goes to the body with a left to the midsection and a right to Theron’s bra. She sees a quick look of pain from the big blonde and goes back the the body with a right to the midsection and a left to the solar plexus that pumps some breath from Theron. A left uppercut sends the great one to the ropes. Carmella is quickly on her opponent with blazing gloves. She concentrating of Theron’s body. Punches are landing on her bra, her midsection and her stomach. Theron finally manages to stop the assault with an overhead right that sends Carmella back a few steps as the round ends. Carmella’s corner is happy “That’s what you got to do. Don’t slug with her, Concentrate of the body, get her worn and slow and then finish her. In Theron’s corner, Upton is lecturing Charlize while Neve and crew work on her body and face. Kate tells her “We know what they are doing. It’s the usual take your legs away. This has been going on for years. You know what to do in the next round so do it”

Round 2. At the bell Charlize.legs it out to Carmella's side of center. That long right jab finally lands and is followed up with a left cross and right hook. Carmella is close to ropes. She can’t get caught on the ropes so she goes back to the blondes body with straight punches and an occasional hook driving Charlize back. Charlize is not going to repeat the first round and she lands an overhand right to Carmella’s face. Carmella’s hands go up to protect her face and it’s Theron’s turn to go to the body. Charlize pounds Carmen’s midsection, then up to the chest and down to the stomach. Carmen is desperate to stop the punishment and manages clinch with Theron and holds on. The referee has trouble separating them as Carmella holds on as long as she can. Charlize is back to to punch Carmella out but the bells saves Carmella In Carmella's corner they are busy getting ready for the next round. In Theron’s corner Kate tells her Carmella can’t take much more, but that Charlize take her time. Carmella is still dangerous, but Charlize should end the fight late in the round

At the bell Charlize moves slowly to the center of the ring. Carmella is not ready to engage just yet. Charlize continue to move in on Carmella and she trys to stay away. She not ready to slug it out. Suddenly, she realizes that Charlize has maneuvered her into a corner and she sees very brief smile across the blondes face. Carmella cuts loose with a desperate overhand right. Charlize simply steps aside and then rocks Carmella with right and then buries a left in her stomach. Carmella starts to double over when a right uppercut sraightens her up. Carmella’s gloves drop her side and her knees buckle.Charlize steps back and lets her opponent drop face down on the canvas. Charlize looks down at Carmella and the slowly walks to a corner as the referee goes through the motion of counting her out.

AFTER
Carmella and Charlize are sharing the press table. Carmella” I appreciate Charlize giving me this fight. I don’t appreciate what she did to me. I picked the weight we would fight at and the day we would fight and I still lost.. The old lady can still hit a ton. At the beginning of the third, I wasn’t ready to slug and I let her cut the ring down until I was in a corner and my punching space limited. I want to watch the film of this fight. she cut the ring down so effortlessly. There is a lesson for me there. Charlize “Before the fight, the plans was to win the fight before the end of the fourth. If it went further, I stood a good chance of losing You saw how Carmella handled me in the first.
A couple more like that and I would be toast. I thank Carmella for taking this fight and wish her luck in the future. Excuse me “luck was the wrong word. She doesn’t need luck, she is a very good fighter
