BEFORE:

"It's funny," says Breckie, "That Mikayla got this big chance with Front Street. I've got everything she's got and more. I came in here and starched Dunne. Why is SHE here and I'm not? And, people are going to be asking that a lot more after tonight."

"Do you know why I'm here and Breckie's not?" says a hard-eyed Mikayla. "Because I'm BETTER than her. And, I'm going to prove it."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Pretty Girl' by Ice Spice and Rema and here comes the beautiful Breckie Hill!"

McCarthy: "Kid only has one FCBA fight, but she WON it..."

Tess: "Did, indeed. Beat Olivia Dunne."

O'Dell: "Hill into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a rose pink bikini that's got the crowd going. And, that's 'Behold The Hurricane' by the Horrible Crows, and here comes Mikayla 'Mass Destruction' Demaiter."

Cassie: "Mikayla's had a great start to her career at Front Street, winning at bantam, JMD, and on the beach. She wants to keep that going tonight."

O'Dell: "Demaiter into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. And, the crowd loving the blonde beauty in that cobalt blue two-piece she likes. Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Mikayla. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Hill will beat this Dancing Hooker and go 2-0! Maybe I'll sign her!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "There's the bell and the ladies getting right to it, meeting in the center of the ring and banging away. Both blondes sitting down on punches early, working body, head, hooking a little rack. Lots of heavy leather being traded..."

McCarthy: "Hill's right, by the way. She's a better fighter than Demaiter and if Weirdo knew anything about JMD, he'd have signed HER. They'll NEVER win the JMD title around here..."

Tess: "Um. Sophie Mudd CURRENTLY has the JMD title..."

Cassie: "And, last I looked, she's a member of THIS stable..."

McCarthy: "She got lucky and if I still fought non-Cougars, I'd take that belt from her JUST like I took the Cougar title!"

Tess: "You FOUGHT Sophie Mudd here at Asylum in February of last year..."

Cassie: "And LOST!"

McCarthy: "I was ROBBED!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Final seconds ticking away in a very physical first. Not a lot in it, as both blondes have scored well and done it soundly. GOOD right hand from Demaiter backs up Hill and there's the bell. Close. Mikayla takes the points..."

Tess: "And will lead 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "More of the same in this one. Both fighters aggressive, but nobody throwing caution to the wind. Both of these blondes hit hard for this division, and both clearly know that. Respect being shown for the power..."

Tess: "But, no lack of commitment on punches."

O'Dell: "Absolutely is not. Neither fighter getting overly arty right here. Both want to bang, and banging is what's happening. Lots of efforts at attrition to the body occurring along with work upstairs and some hooking of rack..."

McCarthy: "This is one of those situations where both fighters think they'll be the one to wear the other down..."

O'Dell: "And, both are clearly making efforts in that direction. We're down to ten seconds remaining in another very active, very physical round. Hill a right hand and Demaiter hooks body at the bell. Close, but Breckie's going to take it."

Cassie: "And we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Right back at it in the third. Blondes determined to impose will, and nobody's willing to be imposed upon. Instead, both are hanging in there, banging back, working body, head, body and HILL LANDS A RIGHT HOOK!"

Cassie: "That wobbled Demaiter!"

O'Dell: "Definitely did and Breckie now all in! She's backing Mikayla up with hard shot to the head and DOWN GOES DEMAITER! A straight right hand sends the Canadian crashing to her back! What a shot by Breckie Hill!"

McCarthy (singing): "Na na NA na! Na na NA na! Hey, hey! Good Try!"

O'Dell: "Hill to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Demaiter sitting up at six. Seven. Eight. To her feet at nine. Ref gives the Canadian the mandatory and waves on Breckie! Hill right to work, battering Mikayla back into the ropes and GOING RACK, but there's the bell. End of the third. Huge 10-8 round for Hill."

Tess: "And Breckie leads it 29-27."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Hill looking for the finisher now. She's backing up the Canadian with heavy, accurate shot. Mikayla giving ground fairly willingly. Demaiter wants to run some clock here, get those legs back under her. Breckie not interested in allowing that..."

Tess: "Hill working smartly. She's digging some body and some rack, but concentrating upstairs."

O'Dell: "Definitely is. Looking to finish, not to punish right now. Demaiter jabbing back in spots, but staying on the defensive, on the back foot. GOOD right from Breckie backs the Canadian up a step. Hill definitely sitting down on everything..."

McCarthy: "Just a matter of time..."

O'Dell: "And, time is what's running out for Hill right now. We're down to the final ticks in the fourth, and, while Breckie's had much the better of things, she's not been able to finish. Nice flurry from the American and there's the bell. Hill. Wide."

Cassie: "And, Breckie's built a nice cushion, up 39-36."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Into the fifth and Hill in firm control here. Ever since the big right hook, she's been dominating Demaiter, and she's continuing to do so here. Mikayla again jabbing back here and there, scoring the odd points in the counter, but that's about it..."

McCarthy: "Hill smart. Staying after her."

O'Dell: "Definitely is, but she's AWARE of those torpedoes. Staying sound here, not taking undue chances. Result has been some really great work for the American. GOOD right hand there from Hill and Demaiter backed up again..."

Cassie: "Mikayla seems like she's shaking the worst of it..."

O'Dell: "Looking a little better here late in the fifth. Able to flurry back now for the first time in a while. Not going to matter as far as the points go, but Demaiter seemingly back in this thing as the bell rings ending the fifth. Hill. WIde."

Tess: "And Breckie's lead is HUGE, 49-45 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Into the sixth now and the ladies back fighting on even terms. Hill and Demaiter banging away to head and body, hooking some rack, again looking to impose will. No doubt, Breckie's gotten more work done so far, and she has to think that will play..."

McCarthy: "It will. She just has to keep at it."

O'Dell: "Demaiter again giving as good as she gets here. Firing back with heavy shot, not allowing Hill to reestablish the control she enjoyed in the previous three rounds. SHARP exchange there and both fighters landed a big right..."

Tess: "Got to be impressed with both fighters' ability to take punches here..."

O'Dell: "No doubt about that. We're under ten seconds remaining in a closely-fought sixth round. BIG exchange there and Mikayla got the better of it, and there's the bell. Very close, but Mikayla's on the board for the first time since the opening round."

Cassie: "Still trailing big, 58-55 with four to go."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Back to work as both fighters continue to bring the physical. Blondes working more to the body now, banging more rack, as they try to turn this war of attrition their way. Neither woman looks to be wearing down, however..."

Cassie: "And, both have taken a LOT of work to the body."

O'Dell: "Indeed, they have and THERE'S A RIGHT HOOK BY MIKAYLA and Breckie is RUMBLIN', STUMBLIN', FUMBLIN; around the ring! Hill backing and covering as Demaiter gets off lusty, hammering away with both hands..."

McCarthy: "Kid did well to take that and stay on her feet..."

O'Dell: "Canadian looking to remedy that right now, as she works the American into the ropes and bangs away to body and rack. Breckie hanging on, literally now, as she clinches. Mikayla shoves off, digs to jug right to the bell. No doubt this time. Demaiter. Wide."

Tess: "But, Hill still up a pair, 67-65."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Mikayla straight across the ring and AT Breckie! Hill still buzzed and Demaiter knows it. She's letting the hands go, backing her rival into the ropes and GOING RACK IN A BIG WAY! Breckie taking some serious punishment now..."

Cassie: "Trying to keep the hands up and elbows tight..."

O'Dell: "Crouching, trying to protect the body and head at the same time. Mikayla thumping away, committing on everything, determined to finish this thing. HUP HUP to rack from Demaiter and THERE'S AN UPPIE THAT SPLITS THE GLOVES AND DOWN GOES HILL!"

Tess: "That's got to do it..."

O'Dell: "Breckie rag dolls to the canvas, collapsing face-first at Demaiter's feet. Mikayla to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. No movement from Breckie. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Hill is OUT and it's OVER and your winner by KO8 is Mikayla 'Mass Destruction' Demaiter!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Mikayla Demaiter, and, Mikayla, tough in there..."

Mikayla: "Someone really should sign this girl. She's young and tough and can really hit. She can beat people. She just can't beat ME."

Tess: "Huge year for you. Signed in May, seven fights since and seven wins..."

Mikayla: "And, I can't wait for 2024. Big plans for next year. Big plans!"
