"Know what's funny," says Halsey with a smile. "I've been here twice and both girls I fought are gone. Maybe tonight, I'll send Rodrigo packing!"

"I'm not going ANYwhere," says Olivia with a smile of her own. "But Halsey is. DOWN. She's going DOWN."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Hurricane' you hear behind us, and here comes the singer of that tune, Halsey!"

McCarthy: "Typical. Dancing. Hooker. Opponent. NO FCBA wins!"

Cassie: "She's only had four fights and didn't acquit herself badly either time she was here..."

O'Dell: "Halsey into the ring and helped off with the robe and she's looking plenty good in that black number if the crowd reaction can be believed. And, that's 'Good 4 U' banging through the arena, and here comes the singer of that tune, 'The Murrieta Mauler', Olivia Rodrigo..."

Tess: "Oliva came up a winner in her first bout at flyweight. Looking to make it two in a row tonight..."

Tess: "And she leads 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "More of the same as we start the second. Halsey working in, banging some body in there, looking to get off lusty, bring her power to bear. O-Rod wants space, wants to get her box on, and, as we've seen, she's very good on those terms..."

McCarthy: "Again. TWO TOMATO CANS."

O'Dell: "Rodrigo working that left hand. She's having some success getting it on, stopping Halsey, keeping her out on the end of her punches. When she does that, Rodrigo's piling up points. But, the older brunette's having moments, too..."

Tess: "She's looking plenty dangerous when she can get inside..."

O'Dell: "Indeed, she does. We're coming down the stretch in another competitive round. Rodrigo with a nice flurry and another. Halsey forced to stop and cover and there's the bell. Close for the second frame in a row, but O-Rod gets the points..."

Cassie: "And evens things at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Ladies battling for terms for a third straight round. Rodrigo wants to get her box on, while Halsey wants to close and bang and Halsey lands a solid right that backs up Olivia! Older brunette following on now..."

McCarthy: "YAWN. One tomato can beats another tomato can..."

O'Dell: "Rodrigo not hurt, but she's in reverse now as the older woman is finding the range consistently with hard shot. Olivia working hard to get space, but she's not able to do it. Instead, she's on the back foot on the defensive..."

Cassie: "Really good stuff from Halsey..."

O'Dell: "Definitely is. Coming down the stretch in the third and it's the best round for either fighter so far. Halsey continuing with the consistent, effective pressure, backing Rodrigo up right to the bell. Not close in this one. The points go to Halsey."

Tess: "And, she takes the 29-28 lead."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Halsey pushing forward to start the fourth. O-Rod hanging in there now, banging back, not willing to be put on the back foot. Rodrigo fighting on her rival's terms right now, and holding her own at least for the moment..."

McCarthy: "Wake me up when this is over..."

O'Dell: "Halsey hooking some body and Olivia returns the favor. Nobody giving any quarter or asking any right now and nobody gaining much of an advantage, either. SHARP exchange there and both ladies landed a good right hand..."

Tess: "Definitely committing on punches right now..."

O'Dell: "Sure are. We're down under fifteen seconds in this one. BIG trade there sees both heads snapped back, but the ladies right back at one another and they'll bang away to the bell. Close this time, but Halsey's round."

Cassie: "And, she extends the lead to 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Back to working for terms in the fifth. Rodrigo showing more movement now, especially laterally. She's working the left jab, trying to keep Halsey at range. Older singer playing the angles, looking to slip that left..."

McCarthy: "Siri, pull up some old 'Charles In Charge' reruns..."

O'Dell: "Olivia doubling up on the jab in spots. Moving very well. Halsey angling forward, moving the head, slipping the jab, stepping in, hooking some body. Rodrigo bangs back, gets back to range and gets back to boxing..."

Cassie: "Another close round..."

O'Dell: "And, we're under 30 to go. Not a lot in it as both women are having success when they get the terms they want. NICE right from Olivia there. Might have been her best punch of the fight and there's the bell. Close. Rodrigo."

Tess: "And Halsey leads 48-47 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "SIxth begins at range, with Rodrigo using that left to keep Halsey at bay. Older brunette again working forward, wants to get into that body. Clearly believes she can win a war of attrition here. Rodrigo gives a little ground..."

McCarthy: "Is this fight still going on?"

O'Dell: "NICE combination from Olivia and that backed Halsey up a step. Rodrigo another solid flurry and HALSEY IS HURT! Olivia all in immediately and DOWN GOES HALSEY after a three-punch combination from the Rodrigo!"

Tess: "That might do it..."

O'Dell: "Olivia to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Halsey flat on her back, rolling to her belly at six. Seven. Pushes to hands and knees at eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Halsey still on all fours as the count passes her by and it's OVER and your winner by KO6 is 'The Murrieta Mauler', Olivia Rodrigo!"

Cassie: "Nice finish. Very nice finish."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Olivia Rodrigo, and, O-Rod, a nice start for you at fly..."

Olivia (nodding): "The girls are quick and tough at this weight, but I think I'll do well here."

Tess: "So, a good 2023, 7-1 with the only loss to Brown. What's on tap for 2024?"

Olivia (smiling): "Gold is on tap. Gold. That's the goal for 2024."
