BEFORE:

"Time for me to get back management," says a hard-eyed Laura, "And, the way to do that is to take out Tate McRae."

"She should DEFINITELY be managed," says Tate with a nod. "But, she's NOT getting a result tonight."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Fierce' by Jesus Culture and here comes Laura Harrier!"

Tess: "And, will you look at that? She actually HAS FCBA wins!"

Cassie: "INCLUDING one over J-Mac!"

McCarthy: "She got lucky and SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Harrier into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a leopard print number that has the crowd going. And, that's 'Vicious' you hear behind us, which can only mean that the singer of that tune, 'The Calgary Crusader', Tate McRae, is on her way to the ring..."

Tess: "McRae's been very successful for Front Street working at two weights plus the beach and JMD..."

Cassie: "And, we plan to continue to work her in all of those places."

O'Dell: "Tate into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. Crowd showing appreciation as always for Tate in that blue number she likes. Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Tate. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Harrier got LUCKY against me, but she can beat McRae!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. Recon going on as we start the first. Ladies at range, working the long poke with the left, looking to probe, find some weaknesses in the defense. Lots of movement of head, hands, and feet..."

McCarthy: "Harrier with some reach here. Trying to use that."

O'Dell: "Is, indeed, but Tate moves so well, she's very hard to locate with that jab. Laura looking like she wants to work at range, use that length, but she's having trouble squaring McRae up. Meanwhile, the Canadian probing carefully..."

Tess: "Everybody showing early respect here..."

O'Dell: "Definitely are. Tate's got the advantage in power, but, at this weight, everybody can hit, so being careful is a good strategy, especially early. Final seconds ticking away here in the first and there's the bell. Close, but Harrier."

Cassie: "And :Laura takes the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins the way the first ended. Tactical stuff as Harrier and McRae work for advantage. Younger brunette moving well as always, showing that one-of-a-kind athleticism she has. Very smooth. Very quick. Great feet..."

Cassie: "Harrier a girl with pretty good physicals. Not used to giving those up. But, she's doing that tonight."

O'Dell: "Just like pretty much everyone else when you get in there with Tate. McRae a GOOD combination there but Harrier responds with one of her own. Best punches of the fight so far landed in those exchanges..."

McCarthy: "Just to be clear, NEITHER of these women hold a candle to the elite athleticism of J-Mac..."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in what's been another competitive round. SHARP exchange there, and, once again, both brunettes landed solid shot in there. Final seconds tick off and there's the bell. Close again. Tate."

Tess: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Harrier working at range to start the third. She's doubling and tripling that jab now, trying to locate, hold McRae, follow on with right hands. Tate still moving well, but Laura starting to get the range down now and get some work in..."

McCarthy: "Harrier's found something for sure."

O'Dell: "McRae not getting a lot done right now. She's getting thrown to the defensive as Harrier has it going. Laura pressing the advantage now, piling up points, taking control of things for the first time tonight. Tate not hurt, but she's definitely coming out second best."

Tess: "Good stuff from Laura. Very good stuff."

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds left in this one. Harrier's been in control from the start. GOOD combination by Laura backs Tate up a step and there's the bell. Best round of the fight for either fighter so far. And, no doubt about the points. Harrier. Wide."

Cassie: "And Laura leads it 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Harrier working at range. McRae showing even more movement now, not just laterally but in and out. Laura trying to find, but Tate's here, there, everywhere, landing good shots. McRae has the older brunette covering up now..."

Cassie: "Tate's turned this around."

O'Dell: "Sure has. She's got Laura in retreat all of a sudden. Canadian a SOLID combination that got Harrier's attention and DOWN GOES LAURA! Oh, a NASTY three-punch combination from Tate and Harrier is flat on her back!"

Tess: "And, that might do it..."

O'Dell: "McRae to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. No movement from Laura. Six. Seven. This is going to be academic. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! That quickly, it's OVER! The count passes Harrier by and your winner by KO4 is 'The Calgary Crusader', Tate McRae!"

McCarthy: "Lucky!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Tate McRae, and, Tate, a nice way to finish off another successful year for you..."

Tate (nodding): "Definitely. She's a challenge, no doubt about that. But, I was up for it, I met it, and I'm looking forward to more challenges in 2024."

Tess: "Any particular place you want to concentrate? Light, welter, the beach, JMDD?"

Tate (shaking her head): "Not really, Tess. I'd rather keep working in lots of places and see what opportunities I get. Here's to another big year in 2024!"
