Intro:
Two women hoping to make 2024 their year after finishing 2023 on a bit of a bum note. Dafne Keen and "Ice Queen" Emma Roberts meet for the first time. Both are high up in the ranking but the question is timing. Dafne is really starting out in her career, there are a few questions on if she is the real deal or if she is a false prodigy. Emma meanwhile is in her prime but some wonder if she can win the big one? Both will be hoping that they can make a statement.

Last month after Dafne's first year in the ring had looked great with her seven wins with no defeats. That taste of a defeat came from Millie Bobby Brown as an unwanted Christmas present. Some wondering how she would respond to such a loss.

Dafne gave a few words to the FCBA Networks Alicia Atout as she was coming down a hallway towards her stables locker room. Dafne wearing a black hoodie with black jeans and white trainers, black bag over her right shoulder. She gives a visible sigh. Telling Alicia "look Alicia I am not exactly in much of a mood to talk. I am simply here to take down Emma before working back up the rankings. I want to face Millie once more this year because I can't let her move away from me as a fighter." Marching past Alicia towards her locker room.

While Emma had a decent year spoiled by two defeats to finish her year off. Chloe Grace Moretz and Nell Tiger Free knocked her out. The bigger worry in some people's eyes is that she has had four title shots with no luck at a world title. She has been the bridesmaid but never the bridge in the flyweight division.

Walking to the backstage area wearing a light blue dress and matching heels. Emma sees Alicia and goes to talk to her. Emma asks "is the camera on?" Which makes Alicia nod after looking at the cameraman.

Grinning as she tells the camera "one month ago I challenged Dafne to see what she had, well we all saw what that was when Millie beat her down. Stupidly I heard she wanted this fight, I guess I am going to be her teacher and take her to school in that ring."

Hands on her hips as she is asked about what the future holds for her. Emma tells Alicia "it's simple isn't it? That world title should have already been around my toned waist, this is the year where wrongs are righted." Nodding to Alicia before she walks off to go to her own stables locker room.

Fighting time! The crowd is buzzing as out first Dafne walks through the curtain to the stage. She has her coach Ming-Na Wen behind her. Dafne grinds her red gloves together in front of her chest. She has a red sports bra with gold trim, red trunks with her surname in gold on her waistband and red shoes, hair tied into a braid. She steps into the ring with an intense expression as this is the test she wants to pass, prove she can stand up to the best of the division and not be in their shadow.

Emma now heads out with her coach Kristanna Loken to her right. Emma has a smirk on her gorgeous face as she stands at the top of the aisle looking out around to the crowd. She walks down the aisle wearing a pink sports bra, white joggers with her surname in pink down each side, pink gloves with white, along with white shoes with "Ice Queen" written in pink. She is in the ring moments later stepping to the middle with her arms out at the side to show she owns the ring.

Once both fighters have had a quick talk to their coaches, they walk to the middle of the ring to listen to the referees final instructions. Emma still has that smirk as Dafne coldly stares, making some wonder who the ice queen is in this situation. Emma tells Dafne "schools out bytch" as they touch gloves. Returning back to their corners before the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Out comes the fighters with Emma looking to use her height advantage early with her jab. Several punches from the blonde already landing square into the face of Dafne to get her corner team smile. Those smiles not as big when Dafne dips down to land a right square into the chin of Emma to push her back a step. Both getting a good feel for each others skills as they are up on their toes fighting around the center.

Double jab lands square into Dafne's forehead to knock her back a step with her head snapped back. Emma grabbing hold of the middle of the ring as she forces Dafne to move around the perimeter. Both landing some crisp combinations, it's Roberts who is landing more as she looks keen to prove a point to her younger foe.

Late in the round Dafne is able to slip a jab to step in closer with two short hooks to the body. Emma grits her gumshield as they move back to the center, working in close as their coaches yell at them to dig in. Emma nudges back Dafne with her left forearm before landing a short right hook to her jaw. Dafne covers up more tightly as Emma works away to the bell. Solid start for the "Ice Queen" as she walks to her corner looking relaxed.

Round 2:
Emma looking confident after the first round as she moves side to side on her toes. Dafne moving her upper body more to dodge and land her own shots. It is becoming a chess match between the pair as Emma looks to box Dafne at range, the smaller fighter wanting to get inside her reach to work away.

A jab catches Emma on her nose, Dafne seeing her chance to land a right hook over the top to the cheek of the Dollhouse fighter. Emma soon enough finds Dafne in her grill whacking away at her torso, causing Emma to be pushed back towards the ropes. Both working away with short punches but Dafne is the one able to load up with more power, making Emma clinch with her to slow her down.

Split apart so they can fight on. Both are opening up more as the round continues. Punches slamming through guards to faces. Dafne again goes to work to the body before she is shoved back. Emma lands a jab/straight combo flush into the British fighters face to knock her head back. Not long later the bell rings with the crowd applauding and whistling for both fighters as they enjoyed the energy both showed.

Round 3:
Back out they come with both looking to pile more pressure on their opponent. Emma has caused a pink hue to form on the right cheek of Dafne from her jab. Dafne meanwhile lands some nice shots into the breadbasket of Roberts to make her grunt in this highly contested opening minute of the round.

An overhand left catches out Emma on her jaw. Emma finding herself crowded into a neutral corner as Dafne swings more hooks over the top then before. It's visible the annoyance on Emma's face as she grabs hold of her opponent. Both land a few rabbit punches to the back of the others head as this is becoming a grudge fight. Referee warns them both to keep it clean before they are allowed to fight on.

Emma doubling up her jab again to smack Dafne at range. Dafne coming back with straights into the chest and abs of Emma to make her grunt. They go toe to toe in the dying moments of the round. At the end of the round the referee jumps in to nudge them apart. Eyes locked for a good moment there before they walk back to their corners to be cleaned up and advice given.

Round 4:
Resuming around the middle of the ring. Emma seems to be planting her feet more as she throws her two and three punch combos, wanting to add some extra sting to her punches. Dafne meanwhile is crouching down to land piston like body shots to cause a little pink hue to form around Emma's midriff.

A left hook catches Dafne around her temple to make her take a step back with a quick blink. Emma rams in a straight through her opponents mitts to her face. That allows Emma to grab hold of the middle of the ring. Emma looks to enjoy bullying Dafne around the ring with even some sneaky hooks across her opponents tits to make Keen cry out.

But Dafne is showing resilience to keep firing little flurries, problem for her is that Emma keeps nudging her back towards the ropes and pinning her down. The round ends with Emma marching back to her corner with a cold stare aimed at her opponent. Dafne on the other hand is tapping her toes wanting more of her opponent.

Round 5:
Again another heated start to the round as they exchange flurries. Emma lands a jab/straight onto the face of Dafne, stepping back when the Brit tries to swing back with a left hook that finds air. Emma taking the center of the ring, where she is doing her best work keeping Dafne towards the ropes.

Second minute of the round sees Dafne firing back but Emma keeps nudging her back. Emma landing a left hook followed by a right cross to push her opponent onto the ropes, where Dafne is covering up as Emma looks to beat her down. The younger fighter having to grab hold of Roberts in a tight clinch.

Less then forty five seconds to go; Emma trying to keep the pressure on her opponent, she eats a straight onto her lips before two hooks to the body. Emma swinging back as they fight in tight. Sweat dripping off the brows of both fighters now. The round comes to a close with Dafne nodding to Ming-Na as she returns to her corner, knowing the fight has swung against her. Emma on the other hand gets her brow wiped down and looks assured of herself.

Round 6:
Pushing off their stools ready for the bell, when the ding comes they both return to the center to exchange. Emma again looking to double up her jab early on to lead to her big right. Dafne though is crouching down or moving her head to dodge and strike back, making Emma look a little unsure of herself.

After the opening minute of the round; Dafne is drilling in some crisp punches up to the face of Emma, the switch comes after a feint from the Brit. EMMA GASPING AS A RIGHT LANDS FLUSH INTO HER STOMACH TO WIND HER, AN UPPERCUT TO HER FACE AS SHE BENDS OVER KNOCKS HER TO HER BACKSIDE!

Walking over to the neutral corner, Dafne has a cold fury written across her face as she stares at Emma. 1....2....3... Who rubs her stomach as she is breathing harder, she wasn't prepared for that shot. 4....5... Emma pushes up to her knees with a wince. 6....7....8... Looking sore as she pushes to her feet, she raises her fists and tells the referee "I am okay" with a nod. Referee checks her over and let's the fight continue.

It's clean that Emma is still hurting as her movement isn't as free as before. Dafne laces her to the face with a right cross before pounding in several body shots as Emma tries to fight back, her punches don't have the power they did. Dafne pinning her to the ropes near her corner. Kristanna watching closely as she sees Emma wincing and covering her body, hooks coming over the top after. IN COMES THE TOWEL FROM KRISTANNA! SHE HAS SEEN ENOUGH! REFEREE SEES IT AND STEPS IN TO PUSH DAFNE AWAY BEFORE WAVING THE FIGHT OFF!

Winner Dafne Keen TKO Round 6

After:
Dafne roars "come on!" As she turns towards her corner. Jogging over to it as she gets a hug from Ming-Na, who saw the hurt that Dafne had from losing her last fight. The emotion is clear from Keen on how much this victory means to her as she wipes a few tears of joy away.

While Emma is sitting on the middle rope behind her cradling her body with tears of her own. Kristanna with an ice pack steps into the ring, placing it on Emma's body as she places her left hand on the back of Emma. Kristanna telling her "you'll be ok, come on back to our corner." Emma nodding in reply as gingerly she walks to her stool to be cleaned up.

Both women need wiping down as the crowd applaud for both women's effort. When it comes time for the result to be announced, Emma instead of coming to the center, she steps out the ring with some help. She turns her head back as she reaches the bottom of the aisle to see Dafne get her left arm raised in victory, making Emma shake her head as she turns back forwards. Clearly this isn't over for her and Dafne if she gets her way.

In the ring Dafne raises her arms in the air with a smile for the cameras. Normally she tries not to overreact to anything but this was an impressive victory over a perennial top contender. Emma will surely be back in title contention soon and Dafne is working her way into that top group of fighters in the flyweight division.

After a few more moments in the ring, Dafne leaves the ring with Ming-Na. The workload of Dafne will increase this year as she looks to keep improving and move closer to a title shot. She also has eyes on getting even with Millie Bobby Brown, will they meet again this year?
