BEFORE:
Miss Ziegler finds herself in a tough pickle for tonight’s fight, having most recently lost to Free Agent Andrea Botez and falling to Brec Bassinger at the end of last year. The young dancer was expecting a swift comeback and win against the rookie Botez, but things didn’t go as planned. Tonight, the Dollhouse prospect faces an even tougher opponent in former Flyweight champion and HISC megastar Dove Cameron.

“The past is the past,” Dove says with a firm nod. The sultry blonde is seated at the press table, dressed in a loose white blouse and long denim jeans, looking ready to get back into the ring after suffering two recent losses herself at the hands of Camila Mendes and Jessica Lowndes at the tail end of 2023. “I heard all about how Maddie went down to a total noob. I wonder what she was thinking by challenging a former champ.”

Cameron grins as she deliberately amps up the pressure, aware of the glare from Ziegler just across the room, but also ignoring it. “Imma wipe the floor with her. I’ve watched her tapes -- she can’t handle the pressure. And I plan to pile it on once we’re in the ring.”

Ziegler looks incensed but biting her lip back, waiting her turn to respond. And once Dove is finished, she eagerly grabs the mic and presses it close to her mouth.

“Sure, I have no excuses for losing to Botez…that was not a good day for me…but Dove thinking she’s going to “wipe the floor” with me is pretty wild…she’s 5’2.” Ziegler calmly recites the facts, drawing more shocked gasps from the audience, and a side-eyed glare from Cameron. “Sounds to me like my opponent tonight is just a bunch of hot air, yes she’s a good fighter and a former champ, but looks like it all got to her head, and now I have even more incentive to prove her wrong. Totally ready for you Dove.”

Dove, of course, not looking too pleased by getting called out like that, continuing to mouth off and jab fingers towards Maddie when the two blondes-turned-brunettes later meet in the center of the stage. Like Botez before, Miss Cameron has a few inches to make up for compared to her opponent, but she’s doing just that by puffing out her chest and turning her chin upwards, with the two women almost coming to blows after trading insults and pokes to the chest.

Thankfully, the fight officials are ready and present to break up the heated confrontation, and Dove looks set to swing at Maddie’s keen and steady smirk throughout the entire interaction. Ladies are herded back to their corners for their final prepwork.

Hours later, we’re back in the arena, and ready to kickstart ten rounds of Flyweight action! Both girls are championship caliber bets in the making, and the winner of tonight’s bout is SURELY going to be in the title picture soon enough.

In one corner, we have Dove Cameron, sporting a dark blue sports bra and white long tights. She raises black gloves when her name is called, her dark hair bundled up high and tight in a fighting bun.

In the other corner, Maddie Ziegler has much to prove here tonight - she’s gonna be trying to avoid her third loss in a row while taking down a former champion. The Dollhouse star is wearing a yellow sports bra and long blue tights, looking focused as she settles into her fighting stance, shadowboxing in her blue gloves, her dyed brown hair in a ponytail.

Referee signals for the opening bell, and HERE WE GO!

ROUND 1:
Good back-and-forth action to start, with both youngsters eager to prove their salt. They stand and trade frequently, with Dove risking more with those swift rushes towards Maddie, trying to catch her off-guard with flurry after flurry of lefts and rights. Maddie, however, stays calm, locking her arms and absorbing, moving backwards whenever this happens before successfully tagging Cameron back on her face for her troubles. The two girls have enough of the cat-and-mouse game towards the middle mark, Maddie standing her ground and spamming those left-right combos, aimed straight for the shorter Cameron’s head, banking on the fact that the HISC girl won’t have the reach to match her blow for blow. She’s right, for a while… Cameron takes several stiff shots across her forehead and cheeks but then rips her own hooks inwards hard and fast to pack into the tummy early in the fight. Maddie is still struggling to counter her opponent’s speed and aggression, and it shows, having suffered more on aggregate by the time the bell rings. Close round overall, but it goes to Cameron by our count.

ROUND 2:
Ziegler told to keep moving and mowing, utilizing her longer reach for better effect. She better controls the advancing Cameron this time round, keeping herself out of range and her footwork working on overdrive, skirting backwards at the slightest hint of Dove’s advance. Cameron getting frustrated by her lack of purchase, in turn, those swift hooks aimed for the Doll’s head missing entirely, and Maddie favoring protecting her body to intercept more swings down south. Instead, Ziegler begins to punish Dove back, especially when the former champ begins to slow down from the chasing, shoving left jabs clean into the nostrils and then snapping her head back more than once with a sudden, precision cross-hand to the chin. Dove gets the memo and begins to defend her faculties a little more too, exchanging fire with Ziegler in the last minute. Here, she shows off her own defensive capabilities, blocking fast combos before responding with stray fists landing on Maddie’s face from the side, circumventing her opponent’s guard too easily. Close round again, but this time, Maddie manages to score enough points at the start to edge her rival out.

ROUND 3:
Oh boy do things escalate! Dove marched out of her corner, looking keen to brawl yet again. But this time, she waits for Maddie to beat her back with several punches to the arms, before springing that coiled right hand outta nowhere! BLAM! The overhand haymaker connects straight to the face, drawing a gurgled groan from the taller brunette, who didn’t see that coming! ALL CAMERON’S SHOW as she beats Maddie back, hammering and pounding on her flanks, more harassing shots landing all over her arms and body, determined to score an upset here, in only the second round! Maddie looked like she was in trouble early back there, but soon shakes off the cobwebs and gets clear of Dove’s punches, holding the spitfire actress off with a steady left hand extended and constantly poking at the oncoming Cameron. Almost, but not quite! Cameron growls with frustration as she watches Ziegler reset too easily, quickly, and her subsequent charges are simply blunted, her fists rocking into the arms but unable to match the speed of the Doll’s own defenses. Last part of the round and Maddie plays it safe, breathing a little harder now but reacting fast enough to avoid another surprise. No doubt in anyone’s minds, however, when Cameron seizes the round wide when the bell rings!

ROUND 4:
Cameron looks a little too cocky for her own good, smirking and having her hands hover loosely around her chest, expecting the fight to be fully in her bag. Maddie not liking the sight, but translates that into a whammer of a right hook sent into the side of Dove’s head in the opening seconds, first throwing a feint to the left to throw Dove completely off-guard. BLAM! Dove took the hook to her ear like an ex-champ, immediately groaning and her eyes squinted shut, as the rest of her body reels along to the side. She covers up just in time to absorb another wild hook from Ziegler, who aimed for the jawline clean but got her next punch taken on the arms. Still, she’s succeeded in throwing Cameron completely off-balance, and opts to follow her back towards the ropes, rocking more shots off her torso and ribs, and still taking tepid blasts across and into her arms just to soften her up some more. Cameron is treated to a little taste of her own bitterness, forced to defend and cover, and soon, that dazed expression on her face turns to a bitter snarl as she realizes the lead she’s lost from her own complacency. She tries to fight back in the final minute but each of her combos is met with even fiercer resistance, with Ziegler showing NO quarter even after taking stiff shots straight to her face. The Dollhouse dancer slams a final cross into the tummy to end the round on her own high note, enjoying that look of shock on the Consortium girl’s face!

ROUND 5:
Dove finally loses steam, and the cracks begin to show in her armor. She’s having trouble dealing with an opponent who refuses to get in close, and worst, evades her attempts to do so. Maddie is fighting smart so far, and her strategy’s paying off. She hounds Dove from afar and peppers her arms and face with a multitude of jabs, and then easily skirts out of the way whenever Cameron looks set to wind up and deliver a big swing her way. As such, she’s quickly raking up the ponts, squeezing punches into the nose and lips before Cameron can swing at her and make landfall. Dove is one tough cookie, however, and despite taking punch after punch straight to her face, she just growls and keeps on charging in, determined to outwork and outlast the American singer. Cameron gets in several bashing hooks off the tummy, but they were braced for and anticipated, and that toned tummy of Ziegler showing off superb conditioning, with the Doll simply shrugging off those shots and then repaying the Consortium girl with snap hooks of her own that jolt her head to the side, and then another snap uppercut to the chin with makes her stumble close to the ropes. Maddie opts to NOT move in to try and finish Dove off, however, a mistake she once made while facing off against Andrea Botez. For now, she takes another round firm and wide, though it remains to be seen how these two will fare in the second half.

ROUND 6:
AND HERE COMES DOVE, squaring those shoulders as she makes a beeline straight for the Doll! Maddie sees her coming but still reacts a little too slowly, gets NAILED to the center of her arms and forced into an immediate retreat, defending herself from a bevy of continued hooks and straight crosses that ram into her frame over and over! Dove not f*cking around as she keeps her stride and stays on top of the Dollhouse brunette, and Maddie takes several slams to her sides, both her body and head getting rocked left and right, before she manages to clinch up to control the shorter girl. Dove is still thrashing in the clinch in a rage, sending more body shots to the Doll’s side, snarling and growling and not used to being denied her prize. Maddie’s not doing much better, but at least she’s holding onto Dove’s shoulders and waistline, keeping her chin pinned to the shoulder, mouth open and breathing hard, just expending time to catch her breath. Last minute and Dove gets too impatient, trying to get her elbows inside and push the bigger girl away from her. This just gives Maddie a last burst of energy, Dove’s off-balance to plow a hook high into her temple, sending her reeling! Both Ziegler ain’t in much shape to give chase, and both girls reset back towards their corners.

ROUND 7:
Slower start as both girls prepare to go the distance. Neither was expecting a full ten rounds but neither were they expecting such a tough battle thus far. Dove makes short bursts of speed inwards, peppering Ziegler’s arms with jabs just to keep her on notice. Maddie is being too reactive and wary, immediately goes into turtle mode and covers up, opting to catch her breath instead for now. This, however, gives Cameron the space to wade in and pick up the intensity of her attack, and the shorter Consortium starlet begins to circumvent the arms and land punishing combos both high and low. Ziegler lets out another grunt as her head is snapped back from a left-right dual to the forehead, then, just as she raises her guard slightly to block a follow-up, she takes another swift one-two combo to the base of her chin, further driving up the pain index. Ziegler’s slowly being beaten backwards towards the ropes, the punishment mounting and her faculties to defend herself gradually faltering in turn! The slim dancing sensation ain’t looking too hot in the pocket, with Cameron soon transitioning to short, snappy shots off her exposed tummy and ribs, beating at that toned and tanned flesh especially when Maddie chooses to favor her face! Not looking too good for Ziegler but all she needs to do is HOLD ON for just a couple more seconds till the bell rings… She takes another bashing hook off the eye, which JOLTS her head to the side, before a BEAUTY of a right cross screams through the arms and SLAMS into her jawline! There’s a sickening CRUNCH as she falls backwards, her arms flailing and legs failing!! Dove rushes in to hammer away at her form some more, but there’s NO NEED! Ziegler CRASHES down to her side by the ropes! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Dove Cameron!!

Bad news for Miss Ziegler, who looks stunned and wide-eyed as she turns over onto her back, slack-jawed and breathing hard. She stares up at the stadium lights, chest rising and falling, not knowing what the hell hit her! Meanwhile, Cameron is looking haughty indeed as she struts back to her corner, sweat gleaming all over her pale skin and strands of her dark hair sticking to her forehead. But she’s smirking wide, eyeing Ziegler’s slow recovery. The referee is slowly counting the Doll out, but Ziegler’s taking a LONG time to just get up to her knees, and by the count of 8, her entire form is still trembling as she attempts one last push upwards with the help of the ropes— but poor Maddie’s taken too many punches to her head and it is SPINNING! NOSIREEE! DOWN she falls back to her hands and knees, hanging her head in defeat! That’s it! There’s the final count of 10 and the referee has no choice but to wave it off!! It’s OVER!

Official Result: Dove Cameron defeats Maddie Ziegler via KO7!

AFTER:
Huge win for the HISC superstar tonight as Dove knocks out the girl who snatched the no.2 spot in the most recent Boxing World Magazine rankings. She DID promise to wipe the floor with Ziegler though which might be the reason why she’s strutting towards the downed defenseless brunette with her hands on her hips, smiling down cruelly at the groggy dancer before grabbing her by the hair.

But not so fast! Carmen Electra ain’t having it folks! Knowing who she’s dealing with, the Dollhouse CEO has instructed her team to immediately come to Maddie’s aid at the sound of the bell no matter what, and Dove’s cruel celebration is cut short by the Dollhouse security rushing to Ziegler’s side before she can execute her floor wiping plans.

Oh well, maybe next time? Dove doesn’t seem too bothered, giggling as she releases her grip on Maddie’s hair and turning to face the crowd instead, blowing kisses and bowing to the fans before exiting the ring with a cocky smirk that remains plastered across her face all the way out of the arena while Ziegler is being helped back to her stool for some much needed recovery, the Doll even seen wiping away some tears as Carmen delivers a much needed pep talk to her young prospect.

“I guess I only got to wipe the floor with her metaphorically this time…” Dove chuckles when approached backstage. “But I’m not worried, I’ll have plenty of opportunities to do that in the future. We both have a long career ahead of us. ESPECIALLY me.” The victorious HISC superstar smirks before walking into her dressing room and slamming the door shut behind her.

Hopefully she’s not wrong as we’d love to see these two meet again for a rematch in the near future!
