Princess of the Ice Hotel
Ch Selena Gomez vs Olivia Dunne
(Lioness Club of America vs Femme Fight Club)
(52-27, 49 KO vs 5-3, 5 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: It's never too early to be granted your first silverware opportunity and the Lioness entourage believes Olivia Dunne will make enough noise going forward it's better to catch her while she's still the designated prospect with a high upside. Selena Gomez knows all about waiting to call her name and being overlooked by most of her peers but she doesn't hide any grudge when asked about the challenger: "So we have to accept Livvy and the influencer brigade are here to stay. Maybe Paige Spiranac is the golden standard but the only way to shut Livvy & co. up is to knock them the hell out. She can always try beach boxing later on!" (winks).

Selena Gomez wears a black bikini set & silver gloves. Long dyed blonde hair tied in a custom ponytail. Olivia Dunne wears a navy blue gymnastics leotard & red gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Olivia gets the better jump and tackles the champion to the body which allows her to control the early action. Selena almost waited on purpose to see what the challenger has to offer and she gets blasted downstairs as the blonde finds her stride and carries on her aggressive ways like most of the youngsters should. Gen Z is not to be denied here and Selena learns the first lesson a little too late to salvage the round as she gets bumped around the icy area and loses her temper when Dunne smacks her with a quick uppercut double on the chin. She almost loses her footing but somehow avoids the disaster and tries to catch the gymnast over the top but Olivia remains in the slugging lane and beats the natural brunette punch for punch until she lands another vicious double on the mouth to take the opening round wide!

Rounds 2 & 3:
Selena gets physical with the challenger and picks her off to the body, this is where majority of the action takes place again and Livvy has full belief in her resistance like a former pro athlete should have. She taunts Selena verbally and keeps shutting her down in the clinch before blowing up her cleavage with a rare move. Selena struggles to embrace the quick pace but also avoids damage and takes it over the top to land some head shots that finally slow the blonde down in the final minute of the second round. More back & forth punching in the third, Livvy slips a couple of times early on and eats a hooking connection but then she outmuscles the singer in the clinch and drops more harpoons to the body which visibly frustrate the Lioness champion again. Still no genuine breakthrough from either woman even if Gomez begins to stack up the punches late and leaves Dunne seething in disapproval at the bell.

Rounds 4 & 5:
More dirty boxing in the clinch as Olivia holds her own and refuses to change her tactics; she clearly wants to chop Selena in half and thinks this is the best way to hurt the older woman. Selena doesn't care about the artistic impression, judges should give her the edge any which way but she hasn't truly hurt the challenger to date and loses her temper when the blonde beats her for the numbers... again! Olivia slides around on the slippery canvas but takes advantage of the professional flexibility to rattle off an upset Gomez before a booming right hook on the jaw sends the Texas native onto the ropes. She avoids more drama thanks to an expiring clock but she can't stand the tiktok taunting that goes live on air as we speak! Oh yeah, Livvy uses the interval in unorthodox fashion here!

Round 6:
Selena finally hits the head-hunting jackpot and cuts Livvy around the mouth early on, no more gut-checking reversal as the younger blonde has to slug it out old school fashion... and she loses the exchange when the champion Princess stuffs her with a double combo on each temple. Dunne tries to swing back over the top but loses her sights and gets blasted with another hammer on the nose. Ugh! Knees buckle underneath but she slides away at the last moment and spends remainder of the round in hectic retreat while Selena pounces on the wounded opportunity and tries to deliver that slam dunk finish. Livvy is too quick for that to happen but cuts a frustrated figure at the bell and has to be patched up due to the bloody gash around her mouth.

Round 7:
Gomez goes in hard and drops the perfect combo on the chin that stuns the gymnast into loud spasms before a left hook on the temple sinks Livvy to roll down the curtains... oh, look out... a right hook slams the ailing challenger on the nose and PUTS HER FLAT ON ICE moments later!!! How about that! Livvy tries to get up almost too fast for her own good, slips and drops to her back... another try and vertigo takes over leaving her sitting on ice when the merciless count passes her by moments later. Oi, Livvy!!! KO7 and STILL the Princess of the Ice Hotel Selena Gomez!!!

AFTER: Olivia was actually leading on the cards and looked set for this mild upset but she just got caught out by a supreme series and fell into a bitter defeat. This could sting her quite a lot even if she proved the upside is there to explore. Maybe needs more experience in the ring and the future looks very bright indeed. Meanwhile Selena rests on the ropes and stares down the wobbly gymnast who avoids eye contact during the ordeal: "She had her moments but I'm still the superior woman! (...) Don't tell me I won ugly! There are no prizes for looking great in a leotard! I put her down and it's ALL that matters here! Who's next? I know one girl was too scared to fight me so maybe this newest VIXEN will be brave enough! She looks like she's not afraid of any challenge?" (winks).

Official Result: Ch Selena Gomez def. Olivia Dunne KO7.
