Sophie Mudd vs Tina Louise (JMD Title)

BEFORE:

Louise may have had a late start to her FCBA career, but it's been a hot start. She's won nine of eleven since her debut a little over a year ago, and has made her mark at JMD, where she's 7-1. And, the blonde Aussie beauty doesn't think the current champion is going to slow her roll. "Sophie's beaten some people, no doubt," says Tina. "But, she's never been in with anyone like ME before."

"She's tough. She's physical. She's smart," Sophie admits. "But, I'm all of that, too. And, I'm also BETTER than her."

ROUND ONE:

Mudd looks better from the start. Blonde has the reach advantage, but she wants to close and bang, and Sophie frustrates those attempts. Younger woman moves well, snapping that jab in Tina's face, hooking body and rack off it. Louise getting frustrated, eventually daring Mudd to stand and fight, but Sophie won't be baited. The brunette's controlling things by maintaining some distance, all while getting her work in. Tina has moments, lands the odd hard shot, but it's all one off stuff. It's the brunette who's putting punches together, piling up points, and getting damage done. At the bell, it's Mudd and it's wide and the champion grabs the 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO:

Tina ups the aggression. She's taking some chances now, walking through Sophie's punches, but she's now getting inside where she wants to be and banging away at the younger woman, forcing exchanges, exchanges the blonde Aussie gets the better of. Mudd's thrown to the back foot by the challenger's aggression, finding herself on the receiving end of some hard shot to head, belly, rack. Sophie's firing back when she can, but she's mostly on the defensive as Tina calls in artillery strikes, backs her up, and, even, late in the round, traps her on the cables and goes to work to jug. At the bell, Louise has turned things completely, won the round wide, and evened the cards at 19.

ROUND THREE:

More Tina. Louise has found something here and she's continuing to make use of it. She's walking forward, mostly behind the left, pressuring, backing up the younger brunette, sitting down on almost everything. Sophie can't get off the back foot. She's scoring in counter at times, but that's all she can manage. The blonde is in control, piling up the points and hurt. She's working body, head, rack, thumping away with hooks and the odd uppie. Mudd trying to get back to the terms she had in the first, but the Aussie not having it. She's continuing to force this thing into the phone booth, and, when the bell rings, it's a second consecutive wide round for Tina, who now leads 29-28.

ROUND FOUR:

Louise forward again, but now Sophie's holding ground, banging back and it's HAMMER AND TONGS in the middle of the ring. Blonde and brunette letting the hands go and TINA IS HURT! Mudd a NASTY right hook and Louise is STEPPIN' IN FENCE POST HOLES! Sophie going all in immediately, driving the Aussie beauty back into the ropes and GOING RACK IN A BIG WAY. Champion also digging body, going upstairs occasionally, thoroughly going over the blonde, who's sturdy body is taking the licking and continuing to do the ticking. Ref's looking in closely, but Tina's doing enough to keep him at bay to the bell. When it rings, it's Sophie wide, and we're even at 38.

ROUND FIVE:

Mudd determined to finish this thing. Champion damning any and all torpedoes as she pushes forward, walking through the Aussie's defenses, punishing her to body and rack. Tina giving ground, landing some decent shot in counter, but she's on the defensive as the champion looks to finish this thing. BOOM! Right hand, SOPHIE and Tina stumbles backward into the ropes. And Mudd goes HUP-HUP to rack, punishing Aussie jugs, dropping Louise's guard and BOOM! Right hook, Sophie and DOWN GOES TINA! Louise spills to her right side parallel to the ropes. Mudd to a neutral corner to watch and wait. Tina rolling to her belly at six, grabs the bottom rope at seven, tries to pull herself up...can't do it! It's OVER! The count passes Tina by and it's OVER and your winner by KO5 and STILL JMD Champion is Sophie Mudd!

AFTER:

Sophie scuffed but smiling. "I told you," the brunette says, "She's tough, physical, smart. But, I'm all of that and more and that's why I'm champion."
