RED HOT SUMMER @ THE ASYLUM: A NEW BEGINNING PPV

BEFORE:

"Oh, I've been WAITING for this rematch," says a hard-eyed Natalie. "This girl got LUCKY last time, and now it's JMDD? She's going DOWN. That's all there is to it. She's going DOWN."

"Natalie was sure she was going to win the last time," says Kara with a smile. "How did that GO for her? No better than it will tonight."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Out Of My Mind, the CFO$, and here comes Natalie Eva Marie!"

McCarthy: "And, this is a new low even for Weirdo! This girl got blasted out of here in four rounds on THIS VERY CARD last year by THE SAME FIGHTER, and he's bringing her back for more!"

Tess: "To be fair, this year, it's JMDD.."

McCarthy: "And THAT'S why Natalie's going to WIN. But, this is STILL a disgrace!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Natalie into the ring and helped off with the robe, and she's looking VERY good in that red two-piece she likes. And that's 'Flawless' by The Ones, and that can only mean that Kara 'The Body' Del Toro is on her way to the ring!"

Cassie: "Kara definitely having that break-through year all Front Street's juniors are seeking. And, she doesn't want to take a step back tonight."

O'Dell: "Del Toro through the ropes and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that neon green number we've seen before, and the crowd popping in a major way. Ladoes about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Kara. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Like I said, it's JMDD and Weirdo is CLUELESS about that. Natalie!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Third straight split panel and the ladies wasting no time getting to it, meeting in the middle of the ring and banging away with both hands. Not much defense at all as both redhead and brunette look to make a statement here, but everyone's talking and no one's listening..."

McCarthy: "THIS is how you fight JMD! You get in there and get AFTER her!"

O'Dell: "And, that's what both fighters are doing at the moment. Nothing sloppy, nobody just winging away, but neither fighter looking to do much slipping or blocking right now. Instead, it's work to head and body, hooks to the rack, all about punishing the other fighter..."

Cassie: "And, as you pointed out, Jenny, nobody taking a backward step..."

O'Dell: "Not at the moment, no. Lots and lots of heavy shot being traded, but both these sturdy fighters are shipping that shell without a problem. Final seconds are ticking away in an action packed first round. SHARP exchange there and the ref leaps between the fighters at the bell. Close. Kara."

Tess: "And, Del Toro takes the early 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "More of the same as we begin the second, ladies working in the middle of the ring, banging away at middle distances and short range, working body, head, hooking that rack. Again, no one willing to back down, no one willing to be imposed on while both fighters attempt to impose will..."

McCarthy: "Doesn't look like there's any love lost between these two..."

O'Dell: "Well, if you're in Natalie's shoes, you've got to be a bit envious. Here's a girl who briefly had management, seemed to be building some momentum, and then the stable went under, and she's been struggling as an indie for six years now, while Kara debuted under strong management and has done very well..."

Tess: "I have no doubt Eva Marie would trade spots with Del Toro right now..."

McCarthy: "I wouldn't work for WEIRDO for all the keys in China!"

Cassie: "All the..."

Tess: "This is the third fight, BFF..."

Cassie: "You're right. We don't have the time..."

McCarthy: "What ARE you two babbling about?"

O'Dell (sighing): "We're down under 30 seconds in the second, and it's been another close, physical round. Both fighters dealing out the punishment, but nobody hurt, at least for the moment. Not much in it either. Natalie with a nice combination and there's the bell. Close. Eva Marie..."

Cassie: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Nobody thinks anything's broken in this one, as the ladies head right back to work in the middle of the ring. Some phone booth work, some middle distance work, some shots to the head, plenty of work to the body. Looks to me, Mac, like this is all about attrition right now..."

McCarthy: "Well, that's what JMD comes down to some times. Who can take the most punishment. And, who can dish the most out."

O'Dell: "More dishing going on out there than at the Carnegie Deli during lunch in the 50s. Ladies sitting down on punches, banging away at ribs and tummy, hooking that rack, just PUNISHING one another, but, again, neither brunette nor redhead will give an inch..."

Cassie: "But, something's GOT to give."

O'Dell: "Absolutely does, but neither fighter believes she'll be the one to do it. SHARP exchange there and another and a THIRD as the ladies work upstairs late, looking to back one another off. But, again, it comes to nothing, as no one is willing to give right to the bell. Close again. Natalie."

Tess: "And, Eva Marie takes the 29-28 lead."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "A little more close in action as we start the fourth. Ladies RIGHT in one another's grills now, digging body almost exclusively, going upstairs only enough to keep one another honest. SOLID right from Natalie backs Kara up a step, but Del Toro right back at her."

Tess: "Like Cassie said, just a matter of time here. Someone's going to break."

O'Dell: "But, for the moment, no one is. Instead, each hard shot from Natalie gets a rejoinder from Kara and visa versa. TONS of hard shot being traded in there and both fighters are going to be PLENTY sore after this one . Right now, though, nobody backing off."

McCarthy: "The Dancing Hooker will wilt. They always do."

O'Dell: "That's definitely what Eva Marie is thinking, but, so far, no luck. Ladies upping the ante as the final seconds tick away here. Not much in it, and both looking to grab the points late. Good right hand from Kara and it's Natalie who backs up a step this time at the bell. Close again. Del Toro."

Cassie: "All even at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Pattern set as we begin the fifth. Ladies after one another as they have been the entire fight. A little more defense being played now, but not a ton. It's all about dealing out the punishment, and both brunette and redhead are doing so very, very effectively as they have throughout..."

Tess: "And, the body work percentage has increased steadily..."

O'Dell: "That, it most certainly has. There's a nice combination from Natalie that backs up Kara. Del Toro right back forward and SHE WOBBLES EVA MARIE WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Natalie covering up as KARA GOES RACK IN A BIG WAY! Redhead getting the hup-hup treatment and DOWN SHE GOES after another right hook!"

Cassie (singing): "Turn out the liiiiggghhhhtttss. The party's ohhhhverrrr..."

O'Dell: "Definitely might be! Eva Marie face down on the canvas after collapsing forward past Kara's left shoulder. Del Toro waiting in a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. No movement from the redhead. Six. Seven. Eight. This is academic. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO5 is Kara 'The Body' Del Toro!"

McCarthy: "More luck for Weirdo!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kara Del Toro, and, Kara, that was plenty physical..."

Kara (nodding): "That was her game and I knew it would be. But, I wasn't backing down from her. I'm better, stronger, and tougher than she is. And, I proved it."

Tess: "And, what's next for you? More JMDD, back to traditional fights, maybe some beach work?"

Kara (smiling): "I'm up for anything and management knows that. Just let me know who, when, and where, and I'll be ready!"
