BEFORE:

"I've PROVEN," says a hard-eyed Dakota, "That I can beat people at this level. All I need is consistent action. And, I'll prove that again tonight."

"This girl has a lot more experience than I do," admits Tate. "So, I can't take her lightly. But, I AM going to beat her. Count on that."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and the four-sided giant screen has been lowered over the ring. And, that means we're going to see some action on Asylum beach, where the patio heaters and fire pits have been lit to ward off the cool temperatures. And, that's 'Love Me Like You Do' by Ellie Goulding you here, and onto the beach comes the star of 'Wounds', Dakota Johnson!"

McCarthy: "ANOTHER tomato can. This girl loses more than Weirdo's Pirates!"

O'Dell: "Johnson helped off with the robe, and the crowd, nice and warm inside the arena, pops for the lovely Dakota in that white number we've seen before. And, that's 'Vicious' and that can only mean that the singer of that tune, 'The Calgary Crusader', Tate McRae, is making her way onto the sand!"

Tess: "McRae another girl who's at the bottom of a competitive division at Front Street..."

Cassie: "But, she's done very, very well in her rookie year. Very, very well."

O'Dell: "Tate helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that admiral blue bikini she likes and the crowd plenty appreciative. Ladies about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Tate. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Johnson's a tomato can, but she's WON FCBA fights. Dakota!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "First split panel of the night. Let's see who's right. Johnson quickly has the feet moving across the sand. She's going to the jab, no surprise there. Dakota likes that jab/jab/cross, likes distance, likes to use her length. Of course, today, she's got a girl who has even more of it."

Cassie: "But, a veteran fighter knows how to counter that, especially such a small amount of it."

O'Dell: "And, that's exactly what Dakota's doing. Tate obviously a better athlete than Johnson. She's, maybe, the best athlete in the FCBA. But, she doesn't seem to be moving that well on the sand, and the older woman taking full advantage of that fact. She's beating the younger brunette to spots and punches."

McCarthy: "This McRae kid is going to become another failed Front Street fighter..."

O'Dell: "Coming into the final seconds of round one, and Dakota's had things pretty much her own way here, as Tate tries to get comfortable on the sand. GOOD combination by Johnson and there's the bell. Not close in the first. Dakota's got the points and the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Ladies at range to start the second. Tate definitely moving better now. Seems to be adjusting to the surface after her first competitive round on the beach. Lots of sand being kicked up now as the ladies move the feet, snapping out jabs, looking to follow with right hands..."

McCarthy: "Take it from an ALL-TIME GREAT on the beach. You can spar on the sand all you want, but, it's just different in an actual fight."

O'Dell: "McRae definitely not tentative like she was in the first. She's getting things working now, and boxing with very well. It's good, two-way stuff this round, with both brunettes scoring nicely while both play good defense. NICE exchange there and a solid right hand from Tate was the best of those punches."

Tess: "Tate getting better as this round goes on."

O'Dell: "Indeed, she is. We're down under twenty seconds to go in the stanza, and Tate's finally got everything working. Johnson, meanwhile, still giving just about as good as she's getting here...and there's the bell. Close this time, but it's the younger brunette who gets the points."

Cassie: "And evens things at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "More of the same to start the third. Ladies working at range on Asylum beach. Sand flying as they work the feet, move the head and hands as well. Some good boxing from both brunettes as they set up right hands with lefts, with feints, slip rejoinders, block others."

Cassie: "Really liking what I'm seeing from Tate. Only her sixth FCBA fight, first on the beach, and she's gotten into rhythm quickly."

O'Dell: "Definitely has. Dakota snapping that jab, looking to build combinations off of it. Tate a good right and and then a BETTER RIGHT HAND AND DOWN GOES JOHNSON! Oh, McRae lands a BOOMER and Dakota splashes to her back in the sand!"

Tess: "And that might do it!"

O'Dell: "Tate to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Dakota drapes an arm across her eyes at six. Seven. It's not going to happen! Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! A BRUTAL right hand from Tate and it's OVER! And your winner by KO3 is 'The Calgary Crusader', Tate McRae!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go across the street to Cassie Scerbo!"

Cassie: "I have our winner, Tate McRae, and, Tate, a little trouble early with the sand..."

Tate (nodding): "Yeah. Just different. The footing and everything. Takes a minute to get used to. But, once I felt confident in it, I was fine."

Cassie: "It's been a very good year for you so far..."

Tate (smiling): "Yeah, and I don't want it to be over yet! So, let's get me another fight these next couple of months, OK?"
