BRUNETTE AMBITION @ THE ASYLUM: A NEW BEGINNING

BEFORE:

"Look," says Milena, "If we're talking going Tiffany like I did way, way back? I'm probably not doing that at this point. But. If we're going big girl and banging? Yeah. I'm still going to beat girls. And, I'm going to beat THIS girl."

"Ton of power," says Kennedy. "And, a ton of experience. So. I'll have to bring the 'A' game tonight. Luckily, that's EXACTLY what I'm going to do."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Born For This' by Foxxi and here comes the lovely Milena Govich..."

Cassie: "Just a brutal hitter. I remember her knocking out Moon, and Moon could really take a punch..."

Tess: "Of course, that was a few years back."

Cassie: "No doubt, but power is the last thing to go. The very last thing."

O'Dell: "Milena into the ring and helped off with the robe, and she's definitely looking like being in fighting shape in that azure number she's wearing..."

McCarthy: "MORE THEFTIFICATION! I'll SUE I'll SUE!"

Cassie: "AGAIN, it's not THEFT, because since Uncle Wiz BOUGHT THE RIGHTS to that song..."

O'Dell: "The song in question is, of course, 'Mack The Knife' by Bobby Darin..."

McCarthy: "WHICH IS MY SONG AND MY GIMMICK THAT HAS BEEN THEFTIFIED! I'M CALLING JACKIE CHILES!"

Tess: "You know, I'd point out that Jackie Chiles is a fictional character, but, since you have about as much chance of HIM taking the case as anyone else..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, WALMART!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Drink up, boys, as the lovely Kennedy 'Mac The Knife' McMann climbs into the ring to be helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. Crowd popping for Ms. McMann in that lavender number she likes..."

McCarthy: "She's a TOOTHPICK! A FRAUDULENT TOOTHPICK!"

O'Dell (sighing): "And, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Kennedy. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Govich is a REAL fighter and age ain't nothin' but a number and McMann is a FRAUD! GOVICH!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. Ladies right to range to box here, no surprise as both are long-limbed and very effective on these terms. And Milena quickly getting the better of things. That HARD right jab of the former welter champ landing here and she's following on with right hands, backing up Kennedy."

McCarthy: "That's IT! Take it to the FRAUD!"

O'Dell: "Govich showing all that power we've seen from her in the past. The jab is sharp and hard. The right hands accurate and damaging. And, she's taking the fight to the younger woman in a BIG way right now. McMann no answers. Landing a shot here and there, but taking a thumping."

Tess: "Milena really settling in quickly here. She's got it all working."

O'Dell: "Does, indeed, as we head into the final fifteen seconds of the first. GOOD combination Milena and Kennedy covering up. Govich hooks some belly and McMann ties up. Final seconds ticking off the clock and there's the bell. Not close. Govich easily in the first."

Cassie: "And Milena grabs the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway with Govich again the aggressor. She's working that stiff left jab, stepping in behind it and GETTING ROCKED WITH A RIGHT HAND COUNTER! A BIG right hand from Kennedy and Milena's knees wobble! McMann all in now, letting the hands go..."

McCarthy: "Govich is fine! Just watch the low blows from the FRAUD!"

O'Dell: "Kennedy backing the older woman into the ropes, hooking some body, then going back upstairs. She's trying to bring down the high guard, but the veteran's not having it. Milena keeping the hands high, rolling with, blocking, countering in spots. McMann looking for the 'off' switch..."

Cassie: "Staying sound, though. Hands out and back, setting up punches."

O'Dell: "Indeed and that's because it wouldn't do to get sloppy against power like Milena has. Instead, Kennedy calling in the artillery again and again, scoring well, but unable to get what she wants, which is the stoppage. Ref looking in, but it's not going to happen. There's the bell. McMann, wide. But, Govich still standing."

Tess: "And we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "McMann forward now, looking to press her advantage. Milena's legs still a bit iffy, so the brunette gives some ground, counters, as Kennedy grabs canvas, walks her rival down behind the left jab. SOLID right hand from McMann and that shook Govich!"

Tess: "I'm impressed she's still standing, because that was a SHOT!"

O'Dell: "Kennedy letting the hands go, backing Milena into the ropes and working her over to the head and body. Govich in that high, tight guard again, jabbing back in spots, looking to run some clock. Ref looking in. Kennedy a right hook and DOWN GOES MILENA!"

McCarthy: "GET UP, YOU BUM! GET UP!"

O'Dell: "McMann to a neutral corner. Govich down on her right side. Count at three. Four. Milena sits up at five. Six. Seven. Govich to her feet. Ref going to give her the mandatory...and wave on Kennedy! McMann winging away now, driving the older woman into the ropes and ROCKING HER WITH A RIGHT HAND! Govich staggers along the ropes and IT'S OVER! The ref leaps in and it's OVER!"

McCarthy: "NO! BAD CALL! HOMETOWN REF!"

O'Dell: "And your winner by TKO3 is Kennedy 'Mac The Knife' McMann!"

Cassie: "Who just might have a future in this division."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kennedy McMann, and, Kennedy, a third straight big win for you at this weight..."

Kennedy (nodding): "Yeah. I'm comfortable above 130. I've got the power. I can take the power. But, I'm definitely going to keep fighting at lightweight. No reason to limit myself."

Tess: "2022 has been an excellent year for you, no doubt about that..."

Kennedy: "And, it's not quite over yet. Who knows what might happen between now and New Year's Day?"
