INVASION OF THE "M" GIRLS AT THE ASYLUM

BEFORE:

"I can fight at this level," says a confident Ava. "Everyone who's really seen me knows that. But, I need management and consistent work, and, to do that, I've got to shake up the world. Well. Tonight. It gets shaken."

"The only thing that will get shaken tonight," says Sophie, "Is Ava's rack."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'My Head and My Heart you hear behind us, and here comes the singer of that tune, the lovely Ava Max!"

McCarthy: "Say it with me. Typical. Dancing. Hooker. Opponent. No. FCBA. Wins."

Cassie: "Ava in only her fourth FCBA start, and Front Street would agree that she has the talent to succeed her with regular work. She's definitely high on our shortlist."

O'Dell: "Max into the ring and helped off with the robe, and the crowd LOVING the beautiful blonde in that azure number she's wearing. And, that's 'Hotter Than Hell' by Dua Lipa pounding through the arena, but it's not Dua coming to the ringside, it's 'Sultry' Sophie Mudd!"

Tess: "Mudd one of those Front Street 'Juniors', and, there's no doubt she's taken a big step forward this year..."

O'Dell: "Sophie into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal that Egyptian blue number she likes and the crowd clearly appreciates. Ladies about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Sophie. Mac?"

McCarthy: "ZERO FCBA wins. Mudd."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Three fights and unanimous for the third time. Bell sounds and Max right after Sophie! Ava stepping to and getting off in a big way, backing up the brunette with heavy leather here. We've seen this aggressive side of Ava before, but you wouldn't think she'd want to mix it with Sophie right away..."

McCarthy: "Maybe she knows what I know, which is that Mudd is an overrated Dancing Hooker..."

Tess: "Who, ten months ago, left YOU a smoldering WRECK..."

McCarthy: "I was WINNING that fight and was ROBBED by that HOMETOWN REF!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Ava digging a little body, going back upstairs. She's got Mudd on the defensive, and she's determined to keep her there. For Sophie's part, she can't get out of reverse. She's scoring here and there in counter, but that's about all she can manage."

Cassie: "This is impressive stuff from Max, who's shown some flashes before. She's a solid bantam, a little short at 5'3", but walks around 121 or 122. She's got the build and the power."

O'Dell: "And, definitely has the rack for JMD. And, speaking of rack, Ava DIGGING a little now as she forces Sophie to cover up again. Mudd tying up. Ava trying to wrestle free and can't ref steps in there to break them and there's the bell. Not close in the first. Max takes the points and the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Mudd playing against type as we start the second. Sophie usually likes to come forward, but now she's going to work the jab and work for space. Ava still pressing, wants to get inside and bang, but Mudd determined to work at range. She's using the left jab pretty well at the moment..."

Cassie: "Sure is. Keeping Ava at bay, and setting up hard right hands."

O'Dell: "Definitely something we've seen from Sophie before, but not usually her preferred method of operation, if you will. At the moment, though, working very, very well, as she's getting that jab in the blonde's face, setting her up for those dangerous power punches."

McCarthy: "The Max kid just needs to stay after her."

O'Dell: "Ava's definitely doing that. She's going to stay aggressive. No reason not to. But, at the moment, that aggression is not paying off. Instead, it's Mudd who's been in control the entire way. NICE one-two from Sophie, and there's the bell. Not close again. Mudd this time."

Tess: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Level change from Max as we start the third. She's in a half crouch now, keeping the guard high, moving the feet, angling, working past Sophie's glove and getting inside to bang. Again, the blonde throws the brunette over to the defensive with sheer volume of fire."

Tess: "I'm impressed with Max. She's holding her own and more right now."

O'Dell: "And, she's definitely in there to WIN this thing, not just to make an impression. She's digging rack AGAIN, and now Mudd banging back in kind, but once again, Ava throws Sophie to the back foot, forces her to cover up and give ground. Blonde taking control again."

McCarthy: "This Dancing Hooker might actually blow this thing..."

O'Dell: "We're down under twenty to go and Ava's in command. Sophie landing in counter but Max continues to fight lead and get the best of things. NICE right from Ava, backs Mudd up another step and there's the bell. No doubt about it for the third round in a row. The blonde gets the points."

Cassie: "And Max leads it 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Max again pressing forward and now Sophie's going to stay there to meet her and IT'S ON! Ladies letting the hands go in the middle of the ring and the crowd getting into it in a BIG way. They are HAMMERING away at head, body, and rack right now with some BOOMING punches..."

Cassie: "Sooner or later, if a girl's going to get in your grill, you need to make her pay for it."

O'Dell: "That's the plan right now for the brunette. Ava a SOLID right hand and MUDD ROCKS HER! Sophie a right hook and Ava's STEPPIN' IN FENCE POST HOLES! Mudd going ALL IN! Blonde in a high guard battered back into the ropes and HUP-HUP GOES SOPHIE, digging that rack then DROPPING MAX WITH A LEFT HOOK!"

Tess: "And, that might DO it!"

O'Dell: "Sophie to a neutral corner. Ava down on her left side, parallel to the ropes. Count at three. Four. Five. Max reaching for the bottom rope at six. Drapes an arm across. Pulls herself to her knees. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's over! Ava still trying to climb the ropes as the count passes her by and it's OVER! And your winner by KO4 is 'Sultry' Sophie Mudd!"

McCarthy: "Lucky. Just lucky."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Sophie Mudd, and, Sophie, she was very aggressive and that seemed to give you problems early...."

Sophie (nodding): "Yeah. I'd seen that on the video, but she can really swarm in there and it took a minute to get used to that. Eventually, it just came to planting my feet and banging with her. On those terms? She wasn't beating me."

Tess: "Obviously, you've been working JMD and the beach, but you're highly-ranked at bantam, too..."

Sophie (nodding): "Definitely looking for a shot at the lineal straps. No doubt about that. Just ONE of my goals for 2023."
