Intro:
We kick off the second round of the Diamond Boxing Tournament here in the Royal Albert Hall. The famous London venue sees first up to the plate Russian Valery Kaufman (1-0) who won her first tournament fight against Alice Goodwin. She takes on Lorella Boccia (0-1) who lost to Brigette Satterlee in her first bout. Will it be Valery continuing her run or can Lorella show she is still in the hunt?

Both women were asked to speak in front of a camera on their thoughts. Valery was up first as she sat on a stool in the studio wearing a red dress with matching heels and lipstick. She is smirking as she says "I wonder how many expected me to lose to Alice?"

She then says after chuckling "I don't expect to get much of a loving response from the London crowd after that. Still I am only interested in one person. Lorella Boccia is my opponent and once I beat her, well that's me right in the spotlight to win this tournament. I know Lorella is tough but she is on the down slide and I am moving up in the world."

Lorella meanwhile wears a blue dress with black heels when she gets her chance to speak. She nods to herself before she says "I can't pretend the first fight went well. I lost and Bridgette deserved the win." Admitting with her fists clenched to show that it still stings.

"But now I have my gaze aimed at Valery. She has won her first fight, she won't get past me because she is just a skinny bytch" adds Lorella as she stands up. Fired up clearly not to let herself go down two fights in a row.

Fight Night! Valery comes out with her coach following to boos from most, a few cheers mixed in as she grins. Soon enough she is inside the ring wearing a black sports bra with white stripes, matching trunks, black boots and gloves, hair tied into a ponytail. She nods to her coach that she won't let this atmosphere get to her.

Lorella heads out now with Miyada Issiki behind her. She taps her blue gloves together as she marches to the ring. Climbing into the ring wearing blue sports bra, matching trunks and shoes, hair tied into a ponytail. She has her shoulders massaged by Miyada.

The fighters walk to the middle of the ring at the behest of the referee. Who goes through their instructions as the fighters stare each other down. The fighters quickly swipe gloves with their opponent before jogging back to their corners. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Both circling early on trading jabs to start. Valery looking to add some straights behind her jab but Lorella wise to that early on. A straight to the chest though pushes her back a step to show Valery's hand speed. Lorella being forced to box around the outside part of the ring in the opening minute due to Valery getting her combos going.

But as they move nearer the halfway mark. Lorella blocks a straight and steps in with a right hook. That turns Valery's head to make it turn. Lorella planting her feet as she lands her punches to add some extra power to them as she works back her Russian opponent to the ropes. Whacking in hooks around her guard.

Trying to push off Boccia; Kaufman manages to create some space. It isn't long though till she eats a straight to her face to snap her head back. Lorella crowds her to the ropes and works the body now up until the bell rings. Valery getting to understand that Lorella is going to try to rough her up throughout this bout.

Round 2:
Resuming with Valery more up on her toes moving side to side to try not to be such an easy target to get. Lorella does manage to land some solid blows around the chest of Valery to slow her down. Valery showing her toughness to take those punches and sling her own back over the top into the face of her opponent to get the crowd roaring.

A missed straight by Lorella leaves her open to a counter right across her face. Valery putting together a flurry of punches to send back the Italian towards a neutral corner. Where Valery throws hooks around her guard till she is held onto. Forcing the referee to get involved to break them up.

They continue on with Lorella scowling behind her gloves as Valery is showing good footwork to be like an annoying bee. Lorella late on in the round does catch Valery with a right cross after feinting with a jab. She muscles the Russian fighter back to the ropes, working the abs of Kaufman till the bell rings to end the round.

Round 3:
Lorella is looking to close the distance early between them. Leading right away to a few heated exchanges around the middle of the ring. Cheeks are slowly reddening up as they both open up more. Valery looking to use some more head movement to dodge and strike as they enter the second minute.

A straight from Boccia splits the guard of Kaufman. A jab/right cross combo then comes in as Valery finds herself driven backwards, ending up in her own corner. Her coach is yelling at her to not just shell up as Lorella is throwing more punches at the torso of her opponent when she can't land up top.

Valery clinches up and forces them to be pushed apart. Resuming with Valery being forced to fight with the ropes towards her back. Both are working hard as punches are flying in bunches from them. The end of the round comes with Lorella banging her gloves together as she returns to her corner. Valery meanwhile grits her mouthpiece as she stares daggers at her opponent.

Round 4:
Each woman is trying to grab control of how this fight is to be fought. Lorella looking to walk down her opponent, while Valery is looking to keep away from the ropes and land some counters. They are both landing stiff punches when they land them flush.

Valery starts to target the breadbasket of her opponent more to make Lorella grit her gumshield. Lorella swinging back over the top. A double jab catches Lorella under her chin to knock her head back as the crowd yells for both women, Valery winning some fans over as she drills in several punches over the top to the face of Lorella to knock her back to her heels.

Pushing back Valery with under forty five seconds to go. Lorella is trying to force back her opponent but Valery is moving out of danger before landing a few counter shots to her face. At the bell Valery jogs over to her corner to a nod from her coach. Miyada meanwhile telling Lorella not to rush it, take her time more to set her punches up.

Round 5:
Valery looking to keep on the move but Lorella is in her face early on to push her back. Soon enough Kaufman finding herself on the ropes trying to fight her way off them. A small cut forms on the bridge of Valery's nose from a left hook that slices across it. Lorella showing she means business already in this round.

Nudging her way out from the ropes. Valery gets some rhythm going but it is Lorella pishing the pace. Crowd roaring them on as they trade leather. Lorella manager to work her opponent into the corner, Valery is quick to hold to slow her charge down. The fighters are broken up as a few words are exchanged between them.

Less then thirty five seconds to go; Valery crouches under a right cross, landing a counter right in the liver area of Lorella, who winces as she backs off. Valery senses she hit something that hurt her opponent as she buries more punches to the body to make Lorella cover up and back off. The round come comes to a conclusion though, Valery knowing she is in a fight as her cut is cleaned up and she grimaces each time it is touched. While Lorella is breathing a little harder now.

Round 6:
Both resuming now with the fighter trading around the middle of the ring. Lorella not pressing as much but Valery is still punishing her when she misses at times with several pinpoint counters. A feint by Valery opens up Lorella as she backs up. HARPOON LIKE RIGHT INTO THE LIVER AREA MAKES LORELLA CRY OUT AND DOWN TO BOTH KNEES SHE GOES!

Valery walks to the neutral corner as a few boos ring out. 1....2....3... Lorella rubs her stomach as tears fill her eyes. 4....5....6... Lorella stares at the canvas as Miyada is trying to get her to fight her way to her feet. 7....8....9....10 Lorella is hurting too much, leading to her being counted out!

Winner Valery Kaufman KO Round 6

After:
Are we witnessing the start of a Cinderella story here? Valery jogs to her corner to hug her coach as now she is two wins out of two in the tournament. Her record is certainly looking better in general already as she is one of the front runners for the title at the moment. With some of the crowd arguably more on her side.

All the while Lorella has an ice pack placed on her body by Miyada. She was someone seen as a dark horse for the title but right now she is looking up the rankings. Miyada doesn't say anything, just rubs her back with her left hand to try to console her fighter.

When Lorella is able to, she stands up to a round of applause. The beaten fighter being helped out the ring. Tears wiped away with her right glove, Lorella looks lost in how she was beaten tonight. She needs to rediscover her form quickly or these months coming up are going to be long and painful for her.

In the ring after being cleaned up. Valery heads to the center of the ring to get her left hand raised in victory. She doesn't give the crowd much thanks considering they certainly weren't behind her, instead she goes to a camera and says "thank you to my supporters at home!" Blowing a kiss to it.

She steps out the ring with her coach to her right side. If Valery can keep this momentum going this will truly be a hell of a story to follow. She isn't the strongest by any stretch in the division, she will need to keep improving her skills and boxing IQ to keep on the path she is on right now to stardom.
