Lucy Fallon (Beevers Babes) v Millie Gibson (Lookout Atlantic)
(Written by Knowlesley)
Two of Britain's most promising actresses stepped into the ring. Lucy Fallon, known for her role on Coronation Street, and Millie Gibson, who also starred in Coronation Street, but was now gaining new fans in Doctor Who, faced off in an intense boxing match.
The pretty blondes looked well matched, but 28 year old Lucy was far more experienced than 19 year old BBU debutante Millie, although this was her first appearance in a BBU ring for a year and a half.
Both girls were dressed in tight vests and shorts – Lucy in pink, and Millie in white, and they looked ready to rumble!
Round 1
The bell rang, and the two actresses circled each other warily, sizing each other up. Millie, showing her speed and agility, lunged forward with a sharp jab, but Lucy, a canny boxer, deftly avoided it. Countering with a left hook, she caught Millie off guard, sending her staggering back against the ropes. The crowd erupted in cheers as they saw an opening. Lucy pressed her advantage, landing several quick combinations, but Millie was looking determined and managed to slip through a few punches and land a solid right cross that rocked Lucy's head back. The momentum shifted, and the two fighters engaged in a fierce back-and-forth battle, with Millie now hunting Lucy down, looking for an opening to finish the round strong, and she hit Lucy nicely with a couple of jabs, which made the older girl’s corner men tense up. However, Lucy quickly regained her composure and managed to land a powerful right hook, sending Millie stumbling momentarily. The round came to an end with both girls standing tall, their eyes locked in a steely gaze, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the next round.
Round 2
Millie was looking good as the round began, landing some nice jabs and moving well around the ring, but Lucy was starting to find her range as well, landing some solid body shots that were aimed at slowing Millie down. The pace of the round picked up, with both girls throwing punches at a furious rate. They exchanged several powerful combinations, with each landing a few solid shots but neither able to gain a decisive advantage. The crowd roared their approval as the two actresses battled it out in the centre of the ring. Millie landed a couple of good shots on Lucy's body, but Lucy responded with a sharp left hook that caught Millie off guard and sent her staggering back against the ropes. Seeing an opening, Lucy pressed her attack, unleashing a flurry of punches. Millie, showing impressive resilience, managed to block most of the blows, but a well-placed right cross found its mark and sent her reeling. The crowd exploded in cheers as they saw Lucy beginning to take control of the round, and she was looking the more likely winner as the final seconds ticked away.
Round 3
The girls traded jabs, but Millie wanted more, and she pressed forward, throwing a flurry of punches, landing a few good ones, but Lucy was able to stay steady, blocking most of the blows. Suddenly, Millie saw an opening and threw a powerful right hook, connecting solidly with Lucy's jaw. The impact was loud, and the crowd gasped as Lucy stumbled backwards, momentarily dazed, and Millie quickly hit Lucy again , driving her to the ropes, where she hurt and weakened Lucy with body punches, as her corner man screamed for her to end it. Millie landed another cruel right hook to the body, and Lucy fell to the mat, her arms and legs limp. Lucy struggled, but got to her feet as the count reached 7, looking dazed and unsteady. Millie, sensing victory, pounced, throwing a flurry of punches, but Lucy stood firm, and hit back at Millie , surprising her with her resilience, and clipping her with a good combination, causing Millie to back off. The bell rang, and the girls separated, both breathing heavily.
Round 4
Millie wanted to finish Lucy, but she got careless, showing her inexperience, and Lucy took advantage of it, landing a solid right hook that sent Millie staggering back. The crowd gasped as Millie struggled to keep her balance. Lucy followed up with a flurry of punches, driving Millie against the ropes, where she was trapped and taking punishment. Millie's face was reddening, her breath coming in ragged gasps. The referee hovered close, watching Millie's legs wobble uncertainly. Meanwhile, Lucy continued her relentless attack, landing punch after punch on Millie's bruised and battered body. Millie's arms hung limply at her sides, barely able to block any of the blows. The crowd was on its feet now, roaring their approval as they watched the once-confident Millie drop to her knees. Millie was on her feet again at 6, insisting she was OK, but she was looking unsteady, and now Lucy was looking for the win. She landed a sharp left jab, followed by a right hook that sent Millie reeling against the ropes. Millie tried to cover up, but Lucy was unleashing punches that drove her back, then she punched her way out of trouble, landing a solid right hand that staggered Lucy. The crowd was on its feet, roaring its approval as the two babes fought for the victory.
Round 5
The girls were tiring, and now this fight was about who wanted it more, as they circled each other, looking for an opening, landing jabs, hooks and uppercuts. Lucy was the more experienced fighter, but Millie was relentless, refusing to give up. They exchanged several powerful combinations, with each landing a few solid shots but neither able to gain a decisive advantage. The crowd roared their approval as the two actresses battled it out in the centre of the ring. Teenager Millie was landing better punches than Lucy, but Lucy was still really agile, despite taking a lot of punishment. Millie tried to close the distance, but Lucy kept her at bay with a sharp jab and quick footwork, until Millie caught her with a right hook, spinning her sideways. Lucy stumbled, but managed to stay on her feet. They clinched, grunting as they tried to land more punches, but the referee broke them apart. With a final surge of energy, Millie threw everything she had at Lucy, landing several hard punches to the body and head. Lucy fought back, but it was clear that Millie was the stronger fighter now, and she was doing her best to finish Lucy off, pinning her to the ropes and keeping her there to punish. Millie continued her onslaught, landing several hard shots to Lucy's ribs and head. Lucy was trying desperately to cover up, but Millie was too relentless. The crowd was on its feet now, chanting Millie's name as she finally knocked Lucy to the canvas with a powerful right hook. The referee started counting, and Lucy struggled to get up, but it was clear she was dazed and in trouble. Lucy beat the count and was up at 8, but she was messed up, barely able to stand. Millie moved in for the kill, throwing a flurry of punches, but Lucy managed to stay upright, though her defenses were in tatters. The referee wasn’t sure whether to stop this punishment, but Millie was relentless, landing another vicious combination that sent Lucy crashing to the floor. This time, Lucy didn't get up. The referee hastily stepped in and called an end to the fight, as Millie stood victorious in the centre of the ring.
Result: Millie Gibson knocked out Lucy Fallon in round 5
Can Millie be the sensation at flyweight that her Doctor Who predecessor Jenna Coleman was? She certainly gave Lucy some solid punches tonight, although it was worrying to see her floored by a girl who has really only beaten jobbers in her career. |
