Zara Holland vs Leah Perkins

BEFORE: Former champion Zara Holland returns to the ring after a failed bid to regain the divisional supremacy off Jorgie Porter and she takes special interest in Australian model Leah Perkins who fell to Diana Korkunova last month. Zara has defeated Leah's sister Mimi before so she wants to complete the double however BBU TV's Denise van Outen thinks this fight won't be a walk in the park for the infamous pageant winner.
Zara Holland wears a black lingerie set & red gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Leah Perkins wears a green bikini set & golden gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Leah jumps into immediate attack and wants to land as many clear shots as possible but she bounces off the stubborn guard and fails to take full advantage of her challenge before Zara swings over the top and finds a better response gashing the brunette from both flanks until she wobbles her into some trouble. Leah refuses to back off but leaks more punches up the middle and has to think better off it while Holland keeps going after her and eventually thumps her onto the ropes come the final minute. A hectic back & forth exchange ensues where Perkins manages to stick a couple of promising shots into the blonde's face before a booming right cross slumps the English woman into loud spasms right at the bell.
Round 2:
Zara tries to follow through with another slugging challenge but finds the Aussie girl in equally aggressive mode which results in a back & forth dust up in the center of the ring. Both women give each other no quarter until Leah bounces a left hook into the blonde's temple and wobbles her off into the distance. Zara also refuses to back off but walks into another vicious hook which leads into a lenghty slugging drive from Perkins. The Aussie tourist rips several clean punches up Holland's chimney and drops her onto the ropes where the former champion disappears behind a tight earmuff and suddenly cuts a very hittable figure which allows Leah to dominate her in the hole for remainder of the round.
Round 3:
Leah wants to add to her lead and jumps into another aggressive series but Zara keeps her at distance before working over the top to land some single punches into her face. She fails to show superior power supply though and gets dragged into a lenghty back & forth exchange which raises the noise around the arena but also earns the former Miss GB a nasty cut across the nasal ridge when Leah breaks through with the hardest punch of the lot. Zara tries to hold on amid a head-hunting barrage but gets bundled over onto the ropes and is perhaps fortunate Leah becomes too predictable with her attacks here. She doesn't try to drill the blonde to the body and gets clinched into safety late in the round which allows Holland to limit the overall damage.
Round 4:
Another jabbing burst from Perkins allows her to control the opening minute before Zara clobbers her in the chest with a swift response; both women engage in more slugging heroics down the stretch and thrive on the aggressive approach despite some physical wounds in the process. Zara's nasal cut starts to bleed half-way through the round but she gives Leah a visible swelling around the right eye and then smacks her on the mouth with a left hook that throws the brunette off her stance. She tries to push off her heels and gets beaten for the next punch as Holland nails her with another left hook on the nose and slumps the Aussie model into loud spasms. Woof. Here comes Zara to clean out Leah's midriff as she bumps her onto the turnbuckle and simply runs out of time to extend her advantage. Bell interrupts her challenge but she duly resumes it...
Round 5:
...in the next round when she openly taunts Perkins into a head-hunting dispute that ends with the brunette bleeding from the damaged nostrils even before the one-minute mark. Ugh! Leah tries to find that home run blast regardless but suffers more bloody damage as Zara keeps gashing her on the wounded nose until she almost breaks it and sinks the brunette into even louder spasms. Ugh! Leah wobbles forard with a whimper when she realizes she can't breath through her nose anymore and the brief freeze allows Zara to SMOKE her with another brutal right hook on the temple that basically turns the brunette's lights out while she's still in mid-air. DOWN GOES PERKINS in true deadmeat fashion and there's nothing for the Aussie crew to salvage here. She is down and out!!! KO5 Zara Holland!!!
AFTER: Zara completes the double over the Perkins tag-team and restores her status as a Top 10 ranked flyweight in the country. It's not exactly the ceiling of the blonde's ambitions but she has to navigate Jorgie Porter's divisional reign one way or another. Meanwhile Leah has probably tailed off the elite chasing pack even though it was improbable she'd earn a BBU title shot before actually winning the ACB crown first. Denise van Outen hopes the Aussie model won't have to go back to the drawing board since she has too much talent to offer after all.
