Pre-Fight: For the main event of the ‘FNL: Blood Feud’ at Boston’s TD Garden, hometown stable League of Mighty Women’s Lily James will be facing Fates Boxing’s Emily DiDonato in a rematch. These two faced each other for the first time last year around these days, on Emily’s birthday to be exact. It was for the Lightweight Title as Lily was the champion and undefeated at the time, while Emily was the challenger. Emily knocked out the champ in round 8 to take away both Lily’s title and undefeated record, while becoming a two-time champion on her birthday. After a solid title reign though, Emily ended the year on a terrible run of poor results. Her sudden downfall was one of the biggest news at the end of last year, but she had a busy and successful start to this year with her Las Vegas residency, so she will want to keep building her momentum with a win here. As for Lily, she clearly wants to avenge her defeat against the one who took away her title and undefeated record. She is coming off a loss as she failed in her title bid last time she was in the ring, but she will be looking to exploit any tiredness or weakness in her opponent.

The press conference for the main event starts with Lily addressing the audience. “Emily and I are known for being nice, so it might come as a surprise that we are main eventing for the Blood Feud, but the circumstances make the difference and I can assure you this will be an intense one. It is clear what I want from this feud. She took away my title and my record, and what for!? She ended the year on an embarrassing losing streak, that’s just disrespectful. She is clearly desperate for a big win, but I won’t give her that opportunity. When we signed the contract for this fight, she was on a losing streak, so I was worried that it would look like I’m after an easy win to avenge my defeat. That’s not what I wanted. I want to beat Emily, while she is at her best, so I’m glad that she was able to find her form again before our fight. That being said, she should have focused on this fight instead of taking on a busy schedule, so I hope she won’t use this as an excuse when she loses. I will make her pay for taking away my title and my undefeated record, as well as disrespecting me like this!” Lily is clearly still bitter about her defeat and she is fueled by vengeance for this fight.

After patiently listening to her opponent, Emily lets out a sigh and begins her own address. “It is hard to stay nice in the FCBA when you constantly face nasty opponents as you get taken advantage of. Lily is making a lot of assumptions about me, but she should just worry about herself. I had a rough patch, but I’m back on track now, so I’m not desperate for a big win or anything. She is the one coming off from a defeat and she is the one who got knocked out the last time we met, so if anyone should be worried or embarrassed, that would be her. My recent schedule isn’t her business as well, the important thing is that I am ready for this fight and I hope she is too, because I proved that I’m the better fighter before and I’ll prove it again!” With that, both fighters stand up and come to the center of the stage to pose for the cameras. Things get unexpectedly intense during the faceoff as they start trash-talking with each other, but at least it doesn't get physical as they are saving it for the bout.

It is time for the main event and Lily enters the arena first with her coach Angelica Bridges accompanying her. There seems to be an equal split between the fans at the TD Garden as Lily receives both cheers and boos as she makes her way to the ring. The British fighter certainly gets support from her stable’s hometown crowd. She bounces on her toes and shakes her arms to keep her muscles loose before the fight.

Lily is wearing a silver sports bra and matching trunks, with white gloves and boots. Her hair is tied in a ponytail.

Emily makes her entrance next with her coach Ana Beatriz Barros beside her. The divided nature of the crowd is displayed once again as Emily also gets both cheers and boos as she walks down the aisle and waves at her fans. Her hometown is relatively close, so there is a good amount of traveling fans supporting Emily. Once inside the ring, she stares down her opponent.

Emily is wearing a red sports bra and matching trunks, with black gloves and boots. Her hair is also tied in a ponytail.

Both fighters come to the center of the ring to listen to the final instructions of the referee and then they go for a stiff touch of gloves as the tension builds up before the bell. Both fighters step back to their respective corners and we are ready for 10 rounds of lightweight action!

Round 1:
Out they both come looking focused as they exchange stiff single punches. Lily is quick though to feint then dips down to land a left/right square into the abs of her opponent. Lily showing her impressive footwork and head movement to close in closer to work, mainly targeting the body of Emily.

The American can be seen mouthing "come on" to herself as she tries to land more flusher shots. Slowly she is making a little headway with straight punches into the forehead of James. Lily though keeps striking her with two punch combos around the torso of Didonato to make her grit her mouthpiece.

An overhand left lands to the cheek of Emily to drag her guard up. Lily showing her hand speed to then follow up with a right square into the belly button of Emily to make her gasp. Emily covering up tight as she is pressed back to the ropes late in the round. Lily working with hooks until the round comes to an end. Lily certainly seems relaxed as Emily isn't happy. Emily banging her gloves together before she sits on her stool.

Round 2:
Emily starts off doubling up her jab as she looks to change the tempo up. It becomes an early chess match as Lily again dipping down but she is getting clipped more as she comes inside. Emily dancing up on her own toes looking to counter Lily coming in.

A right counter lands across Lily's cheek to open her up to a open her up to a left hook to the cheek. Emily pounding forwards as she shows that ruthlessness that has made her one of the best today. Battering the Actress across her face when she gets openings.

Grabbing hold of Emily to slow her down. Lily happy to not be getting pinned down. They are split up with Lily looking to be more aggressive when they resume. More toe to toe exchanges in close to get the crowd cheering louder as they get behind their girl Emily. The bell dings to end the round with Emily getting a nod from her coach as she jogs to her corner. Lily meanwhile takes a breath to keep herself cool.

Round 3:
Back out they come with a hint of a glare behind their gloves. They exchange around the middle of the ring. Lily keeps landing short hooks to the body of her rival before being nudged back, taking straight shots into her face to loud cheers from the crowd.

A right lands square into the abs of Emily before a left/right hook combo lands into the ribs. Lily manages to start working with piston like shots into her rivals torso. Emily swinging short hooks back into the head of Lily but at times her work is being smothered.

Of course when Lily is pushed back to range, she is showing how good she is at switching up attacks, feinting and landing with her other glove. Emily not looking best pleased as the round comes to a close, she is needing to try to find another gear here as Lily is looking in great shape here.

Round 4:
Emily taking a deep breath before she comes out to start the round as she looks to give Lily a headache. Both fencing behind their jabs as they fight around the ring. Emily manages to pound in a jab/straight around the nose of Lily to make her back off. Emily taking the chance to step in with a follow up left hook to her cheek.

As they fight around the ring; a double jab catches Lily as she tries to step inside. Emily following with an uppercut to push Lily back onto the ropes. Emily getting roared on as she lands several power punches around the guard of James till she is held by her foe.

They are split up by the referee. Once apart Lily has a little swelling around her left eye but she is still digging in to trade with Emily. The bell rings with this fight proving to be hard to call. Neither can seem to sustain their advantage for more then a round.

Round 5:
Exchanging around the center of the ring. Both are starting to dig their toes into the canvas more to trade. Emily is causing Lily's cheeks to have a pink hue from her clean punches. Lily digging more punches into the abs of Emily to make her grunt with each clean hit.

After a closely fought opening minute, Lily deflects a straight with her left glove, ramming home a harpoon like right into the stomach of Emily to make her gasp. EMILY IS WINDED AS LILY HAMMERS IN ANOTHER RIGHT TO THE BODY BEFORE A LEFT HOOK TO THE EAR SENDS EMILY TO HER LEFT KNEE!

Several boos ring out for Lily as she walks to the neutral corner. 1....2... Emily spits out her gumshield as she takes a few deep breaths to recover. 3....4....5... Emily nods to Ana in her corner as 6....7....8... She stands up. Clearly getting as much air as she can in. She raises her gloves but before she can fight on she has to head to her corner. Getting a fresh gumshield in but Ana taking a little extra time giving it a wash with water. Lily tapping her gloves together as she waits getting frustrated by what she sees as time wasting.

They are waved to fight again with Lily looking to keep the heat on Emily. Who isn't looking too happy with the body shots. Emily holding and hitting Lily around the back of her head to show her annoyance at being pushed around. Referee warning Emily when they are split up.

Soon the bell rings with Lily showing she can hurt Emily. Who stays standing in her corner as she places her hands on her head, an ice pack on her body as she tries to recover after a hard round. Lily meanwhile isn't looking too happy about what she feels is dirty tactics by Emily. She is told to just focus on winning this contest.

Round 6:
Emily resumes fighting but it does look like she is sore as she grimaces when she throws. Lily is looking to get back to the torso, landing a few short hooks before being bumped back with the left glove of Emily into her chest. Lily is ignoring the crowd booing her as she tries to finish things now.

But as they get into the second minute of the round, a right hook catches her flush on her eye. Lily yelps out and it is swelling up now. Emily sees that and pops in a straight around the same area to make the actress cry out. Lily not looking so sure now as she moves around the ring trying to create some space but finding herself being cut off instead.

The tide has turned as Lily tries to protect her left eye. Emily though is ramming home more flush punches into her chest to open her up to hooks over the top. An uppercut pushes Lily back onto her heels, driven back to the ropes getting whacked around her head till the round ends.

Both women are hurting as this is a war. Sitting on their stools being patched up, Emily is breathing faster as she is wincing. Lily meanwhile is fighting back a few tears when her swollen left eye is worked on. They are leaving it all in the ring to try to settle this feud here.

Round 7:
Both push off their stools to engage. Lily gets in some solid shots early as she looks to pressure her opponent, the body shots she lands eliciting a few whines from Emily. Who is cheered on when she strikes back across now the right side of Lily's face.

A jab lands around the nose of Lily to open her up to a right hook. Lily's guard is opening up as Emily is digging her toes in to land her shots, using all the power she has left in the tank to take it to Lily. The crowd is on its feet when Lily is knocked into the ropes.

Lily trying to keep fighting as there's now less then sixty seconds to go. Emily isn't letting up as she pounds in an uppercut that shakes the knees of Lily, she might not have the power she did earlier but Emily is letting her hands go to batter Lily. WHO TRIES TO GRAB HOLD OF EMILY BUT IS MET WITH A JAB TO HER FOREHEAD, FOLLOWED BY AN UPPERCUT THAT LANDS FLUSH TO SEND HER GUMSHIELD IN THE AIR! LILY HITS THE ROPES AND COLLAPSES DOWN TO HER LEFT SIDE LIKE A TREE THAT'S BEEN CUT DOWN!

Emily roars as her fans are on their feet cheering. Emily walks to the neutral corner rubbing her body as she stares daggers at Lily. 1....2....3....4... Whose eyes are shut as she lays with the bottom rope on her back and her gumshield near her feet. 5....6....7... Angelica is banging on the ring apron to try to wake up Lily. 8....9....10 but she is out cold!

Official Result: Winner via KO in round 7, Emily DiDonato!

Post-Fight: Emily raises her fists in celebration, which makes her wince, so instead she raises one fist and holds her bruised ribs with her other hand. It was a brutal, fast-paced battle, so even the victor feels its effects. She is content with the result though, as she found a way to stop Lily once again. On the other side, Lily slowly regains her consciousness and gets evaluated by the medical team before she is allowed to get up. After the initial check, they help Lily to get back to her feet slowly and then Angelica joins them as they escort Lily backstage. She can’t hold back the tears as she is clearly devastated by her failure to avenge her defeat and losing to Emily again.

Emily gets her hand raised by the referee at the center of the ring and then she takes the microphone to address the crowd. “I’m tired of others taking advantage of my kindness, so I won’t let it happen anymore. Lily tried to test me and got knocked out senseless in the end! I proved again that I am the better woman! Let this be a warning to others, because I am back!” Emily drops the mic and leaves the ring victorious with her coach Ana.

An impressive win for Emily, who is putting together a strong set of results lately to get back on track. She is also starting to become a bit more ruthless, which could be bad news for her rivals. As for Lily, this is only the fourth defeat in her career, but half of them came at the hands of Emily, so she proves to be Lily’s nightmare. It is a rough start to the year for Lily, so it will be interesting to see where she goes from here.
