BEFORE:
In this next 25th Anniversary match-up, we have Maddie ‘Mad Dog’ Ziegler looking to break out of her recent slump and score a much needed win after shockingly losing her previous 3 fights. She’s chosen a dangerous, up-and-coming opponent to do so, however, with Sabrina Carpenter kickstarting her own year with an impressive win against Sadie Sink.

Both girls take their places at the press conference table, with Ziegler looking slightly unsure as she sits, her usual confidence and bravado broken by the string of recent losses. Still, she takes the mic first, and gives her thoughts on the current state of her affairs:

“Sabrina is coming off of a nice win against Sadie, so I'm sure she's feeling good about tonight,” Maddie says. “Winning builds a lot of confidence, sometimes too much. I actually never lost more than 1 fight in a row until last month, and now I'm on a 3 fight losing streak somehow, so I'm not going to sit here and be cocky or disrespect my opponent. I need a win and it's up to me to get it tonight. I joined the Dollhouse with the goal of becoming the best flyweight on our roster and these losses are just a bump in my road. I'm going to win tonight and start climbing back to the top this year... hopefully get a shot at the title at some point. So yeah...Good luck tonight, Sabrina."

Of course, we can’t forget Sabrina’s own fight (and loss) against fellow Dollhouse stablemate Lauren Mayberry a few years back, which ups the stakes for Miss Ziegler all the more. A win here will see her back on track to climb the division rankings, whereas a loss might signal long-term woes for the top Dollhouse prospect. Sabrina knows this, and is adamant about maintaining her own fortunes. The petite blonde recently joined the Lioness Club last year, and with this newfound push, she too is determined to climb to the very top.

“Look, I’m not messing around here. If Maddie wants to talk tough, she’s gonna get Little Miss Tough girl in the ring. Her height doesn’t scare me at all. Everyone and their mothers think they can take me down just because I’m short. But this short-ass girl is going to knock your ass out. Hope you’re ready to lose AGAIN, Mads.”

Moments later, the staredown is a contrast in styles and attitudes, with Maddie actually trying to maintain respect with her fists raised in a casual but firm manner, whereas Sabrina keeps trying to get in her face, physically lunging for the Doll at one point, who doesn’t flinch. More shockingly is their height differential, with Ziegler TOWERING over Carpenter by a good six inches - good lord, mister commissioner - both girls might as well be in separate weight classes!

Fight time rolls around and Maddie is warming up in one corner of the ring, her electric blue sports bra tight and taut over her chest, a pair of long white tights hugging her lower curves, she’s wearing blue boxing gloves and her blonde hair in a bun. In the other corner, Sabrina has gone for a white sports bra and black trunks, completing the look with black gloves, her blonde hair in high ponytail.

The referee signals for the opening bell, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Here comes her comeback, Maddie Ziegler looking hot as f*ck as she walks forward, determined to be the one who comes out on top this time! And we don’t mean just her looks! She kicks off the exchange with steady and firm jabs thrown at Sabrina’s head, a good strategy to keep the older singer at bay. She’s got the clear reach advantage in this fight, and ain’t afraid to use it, with several shots landing to Carpenter’s face, drawing louder and louder squeals of outrage. By contrast, Carpenter’s trying to deal with those long-range jabs, but also surge in and hammer away at Ziegler’s torso and arms whenever possible. She’s got a compact sizing but that’s exactly what allowed her to overpower her previous foes. But try as she might, she can’t land her shots, with Maddie moving about as fresh as a daisy, avoiding her attacks or absorbing them with a firm guard. Towards the end of the round, Sabrina does catch the Doll with a furious and rapid one-two hammer-hooks to the torso, but Maddie takes them like a champ and circles back once more, wincing slightly but then squeezing a combo of her own straight into the American blonde’s face to end the round slightly in her favor.

ROUND 2:
It’s Carpenter’s turn to come in hot, like a swift ball of fire. She almost breaks into a sprint at the bell, hoping to catch Maddie off-guard. A torrent of punches come landing across the Doll’s arms, thumped to the tummy, with Maddie trying to get out reach once more, and defend herself with a flurry of her own arm movements high and low. But some of Carpenter’s licks still end up landing, particularly on her torso, which jerks and bends slightly to the side after another hook finds its mark on her ribs. Ziegler, however, continues her head abuse, catching Sabrina with a nice jab to the cheek later in the round, followed by a deft hook that the shorter blonde didn’t see coming - it SMACKS into her chin and rocks it to the side, and rocking the rest of her body along with it! OUCH! If Carpenter’s not careful, she might face herself succumbing to Maddie’s impressive accuracy! Bell rings and that last exchange ain’t gonna push the needle too much, with Carpenter acting all cocky once more, shaking off the hit and grinning as she struts back to corner, as though it didn’t hurt one bit. Wide round to her to even the scoreboards.

ROUND 3:
Ziegler trying NOT to fix what ain’t broke, circling and looking for openings to strike from afar. She’d expected another wild rush from the shorter blonde, but Carpenter had other designs, opting to stay back and conserve her own energy. The first minute is a tense dance of eager and ambitious blondes, both of whom want a slice of the Flyweight title pie. Soon, it’s Maddie who grows impatient, amping up her attacks with jab combos and slipping in hooks and crosses at the end that crash into Sabrina’s arms. She’s probably thinking that that last round’s hook to the jawline seemed to have rattled her foe badly, and softened her up for a final approach. Well, she’s wrong. Carpenter next counter-punching with glee, blocking most of the Doll’s attacks before shoving her own leather either into the side of her body or up top, circumventing Maddie’s arms to whack her to her ears on either side. Ziegler’s getting dinged and donged for a good minute, doesn’t realize her mistake this round until another powerful uppercut SLAMS into the center of her arms with force, almost throwing her defenses open completely. Thankfully, the bell rings soon after, and Carpenter will have to look to the next round to score her knockdown!

ROUND 4:
Well, not if Maddie Ziegler can help it. She’s learnt her lesson from the previous, and now stays the f*ck away from her opponent, no what the amount of taunting and showboating Sabrina is performing on the other side of the ring! Miss Carpenter seems to be playing the psychological warfare card, smirking behind her gloves and gesturing for Maddie to come at her if she can. She knows that she’s lacking in certain physical traits, and perhaps tries to make up for it with her vicious intellect. Ziegler doesn’t take the bait, however, skirting the ropes and only exchanging fire when the odds are in her favor. It works! Sabrina grunts as she takes several errant shots to the noggin’, her nose and lips becoming frequent, favorite targets for the Doll to strike, with her guard lowered and cocky and leaving herself exposed. Sabrina swings back in the latter half, but her shots are wild and completely off-base, and whenever she does try and rush the Dollhouse blonde down, Ziegler’s ready and waiting for her, easily side-stepping her charge and then rocking her with more punches on her way out. A WIDE round for the Doll, who seems to have finally found her footing!

ROUND 5:
Carpenter’s finally taking this fight seriously. The stakes were always lower for the Lioness, but now, she’s hiding behind her gloves and making more calculated forays towards Maddie, intending to pummel her silly. Maddie’s back to her old strategy of covering and moving, using her six inches of height to rain havoc down on the shorter blonde. In the first minute, she continues landing shots that either stun Carpenter in her tracks or push her back several steps, a particularly nasty one-two combo sent through the arms and straight to her nose and lips to snap her head back. But one thing Carpenter is known for is her tenacity and stubbornness. She walks in again in the second, ducking and blocking most of the attacks before ramming a nasty hook into Maddie’s body, another sent into her arms to blast the bigger girl back in half-shock. The Doll still needs to be careful in there, but before she can regroup, Carpenter’s already POUNDING her out on the ropes! Ziegler HOLDS ON for a couple of seconds but her longer frame just means there’s MORE of her to pummel! Carpenter tears into her with a final flurry, ramming a double-hook oucher into Ziegler’s waistline to fold her over with a groan, but the Doll’s arms remain intact up top, and the Lioness has to contend with another closely fought round in her favor! So far, she’s killin’ it, but the question remains how much longer can she defy the odds?

ROUND 6:
Girls look tired, but the glint in their eyes still means they’re eager to get in and dirty. Maddie picks up the pace of her shots but she’s still keen on maintaining distance, scoring off Carpenter’s head and body and making her look like a kid in a candy store, as the shorter blonde’s face gets smushed in by leather or turned to the side from another power cross. Carpenter, to her credit, bams and rams away, but her shots are getting wilder and more unpredictable, and though she’s seen still packing gloves into Maddie’s torso and sides, Ziegler braces for these punches and thus all they achieve are shocked grunts from her lips and a renewed focus on Carpenter’s sagging status. Another two-punch combo crunches into the shorter blonde’s lips, turning her head to the side and making her wobbly on her feet. Ziegler executes another wicked combo that crashes into Carpenter’s already stunned face, and which finally THROWS HER OFF-BALANCE! Carpenter stumbles back, looking punch-drunk! But that doesn’t stop Maddie Ziegler from WAILING on the poor girl, marching in and hammering her face till she GOES DOWN! It’s a clean KNOCKDOWN for Maddie, who gives a secure nod to her fans before returning to the neutral corner to await the countdown! Carpenter’s lying crashed down on her side, trying to prop her torso up, but shaking her head in dismay, despite the encouragement of the crowd and her Lioness fight team shouting at her to get back up! She doesn’t make it! The referee hits the final count of 10, and it’s all OVER, folks!

Official Result: Maddie Ziegler defeats Sabrina Carpenter via KO6!

AFTER:
Huge smile on Ziegler’s face as the young ‘Mad Dog’ raises both arms up high to a standing ovation from her fans, exhaling with relief as she finally breaks her losing streak with a solid win over a tough up and coming Lioness fighter.

“Sabrina is seriously tough and punches f*cking hard.” She smiles, shaking her head and pointing at a big bruise on her upper left arm. “She put up a great fight and I’d love to fight her again at some point in the future whenever she’s up for it. I respect her boxing even if she trash talked me a little bit before the fight.” Says a tired looking Maddie into the microphone. When asked about upcoming fights, Maddie has two names on her tongue. “Rachel Zegler is a name that came up and we’re trying to make that fight happen, I’d love to fight her, she’s my age and she’s apparently looking to make her FCBA debut, so I’d love to welcome her to the league.” She smirks.

“Other than that, I want another go at Andrea Botez…so hopefully she’ll agree and we can set that up soon, I know Carmen is working on it. I have a few more names in mind but I need to leave some surprises, so….that is all I’m going to say for now.” Smiling, Maddie then turns back to face her opponent, Sabrina already up on her feet and looking like she can go 5 more rounds already after making a pretty swift recovery with the help of her medical team. The two young blondes then bump fists and exchange a few words before parting ways, Ziegler raising her arms one more time and waves to her fans before finally making her way backstage to loud cheers.
