Saaya Irie vs Kate Mara

R1: The two ladies go at each other with fervent energy, and the opening brawl is intense as the smack of leather is clear throughout the arena.

R2: Kate takes it slow and steady, opting for a defensive strategy to wear Saaya out. It works, and Saaya’s attacks fizzle against her opponent’s defense. Kate’s don’t, however, and her powerful counters rattle the smaller girl. The round goes to Kate by a wide margin.

R3: The vitality taken away in round two still hasn’t come back for Saaya, and Kate manages to break through her guard, hitting her in the face and chest. It’s all she can do to maintain even footing. In the second minute she opts to give ground in order to get space, which proves to be effective as she exits round three still standing.

R4: Round four opens with Kate trying to finish her opponent, briefly making it seem as though victory is at hand, but it is not to be. In the third minute, Saaya throws all of herself behind an uppercut and it sinks into Kate’s belly, folding her over and taking her down. Despite several attempts to get up, the older woman crumples back down each time. The ref gets to ten and the match is over.

Winner: Saaya Irie via KO4!
