Zara McDermott vs Laura Whitmore
(6-2, 6 KO vs 5-7, 5 KO)

BEFORE: Many pundits believe Zara McDermott could develop into a true contender sooner rather than later and she's back to the old country after a painful loss to Nata Lee across the pond several months ago. The recovery mission is somewhat on the lukewarm side as Laura Whitmore lost her Foxes management lately and is considered to be "over the hill" by the conventional wisdom even though boxing could spring a surprise result or two when nobody expects it!
Zara McDermott wears a crismon crop top, jeans shorts & silver gloves. Long dark blonde hair tied in a custom ponytail. Laura Whitmore wears a green bikini top, jeans shorts & white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.
Round 1:
Laura feels like she has enough fuel in the tank to avoid the free agency purgatory but Zara pounds away at her as if she wants to show everyone the Foxes made the right decision and the Irish TV presenter gets off to a rough start leaking many clean hits up the middle before a booming right cross spins her back to the ropes. Woof. Zara continues to deliver the slugging heat and feels comfortable punching Laura in the face to trigger a back & forth dispute which seems slightly above the older blonde's pay grade at the moment... and she gets duly rocked half-way through the clock to the point Zara simply beats her up without a reply for remainder of the round and is somewhat unfortunate to miss out on that big knockdown. Whitmore bellows out behind a tight earmuff but she can barely hang on here and cuts a stunned figure when the referee finally pulls McDermott back at the bell.
Round 2:
Zara charges in to connect with more head shots and quickly dissects the Irish blonde's guard before blasting her lips into a swollen mess still short of the one minute mark. Whitmore remains stuck on her heels and offers minimal mobility which helps McDermott to glue her mitts right where she wants them and it's back to one-way pounding come the second minute when Laura spins around to lose the defensive grip and gets SMOKED by a vicious left hook square on the jaw moments later. Ugh! DOWN SHE GOES into a smoking pile of heap while Zara is ready to stomp her out if only she could do that! Ref shoves her back but the count is almost meaningless here since Laura is well and truly knocked out of this contest! That ought to turn some heads in the morning! KO2 Zara McDermott!!!
AFTER: Some of these reality TV cast members have been dismissed as all bark and no bite but Zara appears to be the real deal and she took care of business in emphatic fashion tonight. Who will be brave enough to issue a challenge next though? Zara promises to take everyone seriously but she's off to Ibiza for the time being which makes even Denise van Outen a little envious!
