Bella Thorne
(26, 5’8, 62:24 FCBA, The Dollhouse)
Vs.
Saraya Bevis (31, 5’8, 8:7 FCBA, Queens of Absolution)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse
BEFORE: "I'm honestly getting kinda bored of the same old names in the Bantam division... I told Carmen to find me someone interesting to fight at Light,” Bella Thorne's eyes lighting up first from her seat at the press table, starting to speak about her opponent tonight. “The Dollhouse still has good relations with Saraya and she's been killing it in 2023, so I said why the hell not. We're the same size. But she just lost to Riho on AEW, who's a 5'1 90 lbs Asian woman, so she might have a hard time dealing with someone my size in there. Hope you're ready for the toughest fight of your career Saraya. Try to last longer than you lasted against Riho,” she says, flashing a smirk across the room towards Bevis.
Thorne has that look of controlled malice as her lips twist into a smirk and she casts a sideways glance towards the English fighter, who once took the wrestling world by storm, and looks set to do the same in the FCBA. Meanwhile, Saraya flits her dark eyelids back at the American redhead, looking nonpussed and definitely up for the challenge.
"Bella hon, looks like nobody ever explained to you how pro wrestling works,” Saraya starts. “It's fine. Nobody tell her about kayfabe please. She's too cute. But yeah, I'd like to thank Carmen for setting this fight up, I can't deny that Bella is one of the best in the league and beating her ass tonight is just what I need to crack the top 10 for the first time. I wish we could go RIGHT now, but fine, I'll wait a few more hours. Go get some Saraya t-shirts in the meantime, you'll be glad you did after tonight, trust me.” the pale-skinned Saraya says, ending her tirade with a smirk.
Later, both fighters are in it for the long haul, steady fists raised to each other’s faces at a respectable distance apart, neither looking for trouble but trouble will soon find them both once they get into the squared circle proper. For now, they separate on stage without incident, leaving many fans wondering why the hell this fight hasn’t happened sooner!
24 hours later, both girls are ready and warming up in the ring. In one corner, the Dollhouse powerhouse herself, Miss Bella Thorne is now seeking the Bantamweight title after multiple successful runs under her belt already. She’s wearing her usual red bikini top and long black tights, raising red gloves high into the air when her name is called. Across the ring from her is Saraya, looking toned and proper in her usual black leather sports bra and short black tights, black boxing gloves on both hands, her black hair in a high bun as she exchanges a few choice words from her corner with some Bella fans down in the front row.
A DIFFERENT Bella is in the ring with her tonight, though, and as both fighters settle into their fighting stances, the referee signals for the opening bell! HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!
ROUND 1: Saraya and Bella GO at it hard and fast, both girls the same height and size and NOT intimidated by one or the other, simply closing distance and punching away! Ever since Miss Bevis returned to her AEW promotion, she’s taken down all challenges to her throne, and if we know her, she ain’t gonna let some Hollywood wannabe actress stand in her way either. Bevis employs huge numbers from the start, landing heavy thuds to Bella’s arms and no doubt hoping to shock her into submission early. Thorne is more measured but still throws her own combos with both quantity and force, landing some early shots off the temple and chin but clearly not expecting to meet the same level of resistance from her opponent. Instead, Bevis bangs a hook off the side of her head, another landing off her body to stun her further. And before Bella can fully retreat, the Doll takes another whipping side-winder to the chin to jolt her badly to the side! She realizes too late that her opponent has entered this fight with a different brief, and all she can do is run away for the remainder of the round, focused on NOT getting KO’ed! Saraya continues looking smug at the bell, twirling one of gloves in the air like she’s back in the wrasslin’ arena. Wide round won to her, but the night’s still young, and this ain’t kayfabe boxing, baby.
ROUND 2: Thorne looks more cautious at the bell, protecting her face behind her gloves and now a little more wary of Saraya’s punching power. That’s exactly how the wrestler likes it, of course, smirking behind her guard and just goading the redhead to make the first move, and mistake. Thorne not taking the bait, however, staying calm and shooting out her jabs to the face, and when the first few actually land accurately, there’s shock registered on Saraya’s face, followed by sheer indignation. The punches scored only makes her more pissed off, and she breaks into several rushes towards Thorne for the rest of the round, trying to brute force her way through. Thorne continues to stay calm, however, weaving her arms up and down in fluid patterns, intercepting some of the more nasty hooks and bracing for the couple of gloves that do slap or thud into her torso. The Doll’s paying back dividends throughout, tagging Bevis back to her cheek and temple, her swifter fists clipping away at the exposed face and flanks, leaving her breathing hard and cursing harder at the bell. Big comeback round for Bella Thorne, who evens it out!
ROUND 3: Bevis itching to use her in-ring experience to score the win here, but she can’t perform a dropkick to the jawline or throw an elbow to dazzle her foe. Instead, she STUNS Bella early on with a barrage of punches sent high and low, keeping her guessing, before actually grabbing her by the shoulders and trying to WRANGLE her into the ropes for more close-quarters punishment! Bella has a look of surprise on her face at the sheer audacity of her foe to play dirty, but the dear referee ain’t helping things either when both fighters SLAP messily into a clinch, their arms working over the other’s and shoulders and hips shoved into mutual bodies. Of course, Miss Bevis has the advantage in this situation, which she exploits well: stiff swipes across Bella’s midsection and tummy to drive the wind out of her, each snatching hooks off the waistline making her lurch forward with her face twisting in shock. Then, Saraya plants more hooks across her face with further ease, intent on driving Bella back into ropes, where she perhaps can execute an Irish Whip or so, eh? Thorne, however, fights back, growling and pulling Bevis’ body closer to negate the punches, occasionally driving her own fist into the side of the Brit girl’s face to daze her enough to reset the clinch. Meanwhile, the Dollhouse corner is screaming bloody murder at the ref, ordering him to do his f*cking job or get the f*ck outta there. Bell rings and Bevis and Bella both look banged up, but the judges’ scorecards are what they are: the former WWE wrestler takes it wide.
ROUND 4: Saraya continues to dominate, sending bashing hooks and haymakers in at the most odd moments. Bella tries to anticipate but keeps getting whacked across the face and sides of her torso, swerving the wrong way and just having a night of continued bad luck. Bevis probably thinks she’s on cloud nine and hella skilled as she continues to press in with aggression, ramming fists in between the Doll’s arms to pummel the flesh, enjoying the feeling of her leather gloves impacting muscle and sinew. A double-hook snatches at Bella’s under-tummy to make the redhead lurch forward, gasping for air and almost collapsing on the spot. Bella barely makes it out of the pocket when another blasting hook is barely blocked by her raised guard, sending her reeling towards the ropes awkwardly. Thorne attempts to ride out the storm for the remainder of the round, but her punches aren’t connecting cleanly, allowing Bevis to keep storming into her space and rocking her about with more power hooks. Saraya KNOWS she’s dominated this round when the bell finally rings, letting out a roar and pump of her arms by her sides, all the while taunting Bella from across the ring. Thorne looks shaken and shakes her head further, but she’s still got more than half the fight to turn it around…
ROUND 5: Bella narrows her gaze as she comes forward, after getting advice from her corner and now tracking Saraya’s footwork and her arms being pulled back before she decides to make a move. It works, with Bevis telegraphing her own attacks and still throwing big bombs towards the Doll, only now, Bella easily sidesteps her swings and only throws her own attacks back when she sees the best opening to do so. Saraya’s face getting shocked and spotted, her cheek bunched in by fast hits to her face, with Bella showing off her speed and precision as she first twists her body to the side and downwards, avoiding another tepid haymaker before immediately sending her return glove shooting in at an arc, TORCHING that pale face to the side with a hook of her own! OUCH! Bevis looks hella shocked as her head gets jolted to one side, the rest of her body moving after her, trying to maintain her balance. Only in the last minute does Bella garner the confidence to push in, keeping up the pressure with more lefts and rights that smack in all over, leaving the English fighter in sudden tatters. What a turn of fortunes, folks, as the bell rings and it’s Thorne's turn to secure a shutout performance, leaving Bevis breathing hard on the ropes and glaring daggers at her newfound rival! These two are only going to continue to want to HURT each other in the second half of this fight!
ROUND 6: Slower start from both corners, with their faces and bodies already bearing the marks of battle. Saraya’s face is marked with pink streaks across her cheek and chin, whereas for Bella, it’s her body that has taken more of a beating, pinkish marks of leather forced into and across the skin, shown off on the surface of her ribcage and side stomach. Bevis is still playing the aggressor in this contest despite her spectacular loss in the previous round, however, and if anything, she’s got spirit and drive to make it to the very top of any ring she finds herself apart of, and that’s how she became both WWE and AEW women’s champ on multiple occasions. She hammers more hooks to the Doll’s arms and lands her fair share of hard knocks to the head and torso, keeping the redhead guessing and constantly on the defensive in the very first minute. But Bella remembers her own training and soon dictates her own distance, keeping her guard fluid to intercept both high and low, and then returning fire in the form of several snappy jabs sent straight to Saraya’s face, knocking her head back repeatedly with hefty snap snap snaps connecting with her nose and chin. At the bell, it’s a close round this time, as both competitors keep a good pace with each other, but we think the wrestler’s aggression continues to throw off Bella’s strategy.
ROUND 7: Another head-down, all-out rush inwards from Saraya, despite the English fighter looking on the verge of exhaustion. She’s had this problem in the past, of course, her chest heaving heavily and her eyelids fluttering from the amount of sweat accumulating on her brow. She sees early success, however, shocking Bella with another sudden haymaker slammed to the middle of her arms, before another barrage of hooks comes sailing in low, intending to score wherever she can. Bella takes the first blows like a champ, her tummy pounded on as she grits her teeth and keeps herself moving. She knows she might run into trouble if she attempts to stand and trade with Bevis, and those arms remain locked across her face even as she’s forced into a retreat. And true enough, after another thirty seconds of blind aggression, Saraya looks like she’s utterly spent! Bevis’ punches just sailing in slower and less steady, her tired arms looking slack-jawed and lacking power soon enough, and offering Thorne the perfect opportunity to counter-attack! HERE BELLA COMES, shoving a quick series of punches straight into the English girl’s face before she can respond, and then she brings out the bigger guns: a wracking double-hook to the tummy to stun and fold Saraya over on the spot, before a right hand LANDS CLEANLY to the left of her temple, sending her entire head spinning!! OUCH! There’s a spray of sweat and saliva that arcs through the air, with Saraya’s entire body following suit from the pent-up momentum, her shoulders and hips swiveling 180 degrees before DOWN THEY GO as well, and the wrestling superstar CRASHES to the canvas face-first! IT’S A KNOCKDOWN FOR BELLA THORNE, who seems intent on returning the earlier insults suffered, just HOVERING above the fallen fighter and berating her repeatedly from on top! Finally, the referee manages to herd the Dollhouse redhead back to the neutral corner in order to start the count, but poor Saraya is still pushing her way up to all fours, half her face still bent over and glued to the canvas, lips breathing hard and both eyes shut! Probably he’s worried about what Bella might do to the dazed and downed fighter if left to her own devices, but Bella’s complying, at least for now, allowing a smirk to spread across her face as she rests her back against the nearby turnbuckle, tummy beating with anticipation, and still spouting insults and taunts for Bevis to get back up, if she can…. The referee is mid-count and it’s not looking too good for the brunette, however, with Bevis shaky on all fours, her arms and legs vibrating hard even as she tries to prop her failing body up. Finally, the referee hits the count of 10 and has no choice but to WAVE this fight off! It’s OVER!!
Official Result: Bella Thorne defeats Saraya Bevis via KO7!
AFTER: Dollhouse top dog snatching another win for herself, the 87th of her impressive career, leaving the AEW superstar woozy on the mat, with Saraya needing the help of her team to make it back to her feet a minute or so later.
Proud Bella gets her hand raised by the ref to loud cheers before she takes a long victory lap around the ring with one arm raised, a scenario we’ve seen many times before, but what we rarely see is Bella showing respect to her opponent, especially after defeating them. Well, she must be in a really good mood tonight – the victorious redhead approaches the recovering Saraya in her corner and the two exchange a few words, but not the fighting kind.
Later, Bella explains. “I told her it was a good fight. It was. She survived 7 rounds against me, gotta respect that. She’s better than I thought. I beat her though, and I’ll beat her ass again if she’s stupid enough to ask for a rematch. That’s how I roll!” |
