Sayuki Matsumoto versus Sofia Vergara

Vergara couldn’t even last five rounds.

It didn’t take much for Matsumoto to get a sense that she was facing a virtual ragdoll by the end of the fourth round as Vergara nearly spilled over of her own doing when attempting to rise to start the fifth. She had taken two rounds by a wide margin despite being nearly two decades older, true, but even Italy had won a few battles in World War Two. Matsumoto was eager to test her ribs’ pliability, snapping off a straight left to the forehead and sweeping a crushing hook underneath. The brunette’s breath hitched as a heavy crunch reverberated through her flesh, puckering her side in; she had no time to react before a mirrored left hook drove through her rib cage on the opposite side. Vergara deflated as Matsumoto snapped yet another hook at the ribs with Sofia in a backpedal.

Matsumoto pressed her, and as they reached the ropes, Sayuki hit downwards, shredding Vergara's cheek. The flushed brunette’s slung halfway through the ropes as her neck snapped sideways, her momentum sending her back and her arms falling away as Sayuki cracked her guard and forced a brutal straight left down the back of Vergara’s throat.

1… 2… 3… Vergara’s gutturally grunting as she flushed away the cobwebs with a few rapid blinks.

4… 5… 6… 7… 8… With just a few seconds left in the round, Vergara somehow stood.
Sofia looked to finish it early in round six, for it was then or never, but Sayuki did not just let her have it. The model buckled as Matsumoto blew her back with an uppercut gutting her through the navel, and Matsumoto continued punching to push another pained exhale from her lungs. Vergara slid into a retreat, matching the pace of Matsumoto’s pursuit, throwing an overhand at the tall-for-an-Asian fighter to keep her at bay.

But it was not enough: Vergara’s eyes bugged as Matsumoto slid beneath her overhand and slammed a brutal uppercut into an open chin, rattling her teeth against her gum-shield. Another fleshy slap rang out as Matsumoto jutted forward with another fist, this time straight right to the teeth. She wobbled, perhaps hopeful for a tie-up only to have the Asian detonate her fist against the model’s chin. Vergara’s skull bobbled on her shoulders as that of a drunkard incoherent before she spilled messily into a senseless puddle.

Winner: Sayuki Matsumoto via KO6!
