CANADIAN INVASION AT THE ASYLUM: THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL

BEFORE:

"I'm here as an opponent," says a hard-eyed Rachelle. "I get it. But, this time, I'm going to ruin all their plans."

"Rachelle is not to be taken lightly," Cristy admits. "But, she's also not going to get her hand raised tonight."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'All This And Heaven, Too' by Florence + The Machine, and here comes Canadian beauty Rachelle LeFevre..."

McCarthy: "Typical Dancing Hooker Opponent. NO FCBA wins!"

Tess: "Only four FCBA fights..."

O'Dell: "Redhead wasting no time getting down the aisle and into the ring. She's helped off with the robe to reveal a black number that has the crowd's attention. And, that's 'Back In The U.S.S.R' by the Beatles hammering through the arena, and that can only mean that 'The Russian Revolution' Cristy Ren, is on her way to the ring..."

Cassie: "Ren off to a very good start to her career, getting wins on the beach, at JMDD, and lightweight. Going to be working some welter, too..."

McCarthy: "I don't know why Weirdo BOTHERS with welter. He can't win there..."

O'Dell: "Cristy into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve, and she's getting quite the reaction, as usual, with that pink and green number we've seen before. Ladies about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Cristy. Mac?"

McCarthy: "NO FCBA wins! Ren!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Unanimous in the second and Rachelle quickly showing us the plan she has to prove everyone wrong. Redhead setting up behind the left jab, right hand high, feet planted. She wants to box with and Ren going to go ahead and do that..."

McCarthy: "Because Weirdo has absolutely NO ONE who knows any boxing on his staff except Torv and Brit and Sobieski..."

Cassie: "That's THREE someones..."

McCarthy: "Shut up, Scabbo!"

O'Dell: "Ren moving the head and feet, looking to play angles, but Rachelle adjusting nicely, turning with, going to make this into pure gunnery range stuff. And, at the moment, the redhead is giving as good as she gets..."

Tess: "Really is a pretty good fight plan. She's not as quick or athletic as Cristy, so she's going to enforce terms that offset that..."

O'Dell: "And enforce them pretty well, too, at least in the opening frame. We're down under ten seconds in what's been a good, two-way round. NICE right hand by Rachelle there, best punch of the fight so far, and there's the bell. Close. LeFevre gets the points and the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second starts the way the first ended, with Rachelle set up at range, working the left hand, keeping the right high, forcing Ren into gunnery range exchanges. Cristy again moving well, but she's not been able to open Rachelle up..."

McCarthy: "No substitute for veteran savvy..."

O'Dell: "Ren holding her own on these terms, but the redhead preventing her from using all that athleticism we've seen in previous bouts. Instead, she's keeping the younger woman pretty static, turning with, boxing smartly."

Tess: "She's managing very well..."

O'Dell: "'Managing' is the word. Ren not getting sloppy. She's going to continue to play this game and not force the issue. Final seconds ticking away in a closely-run second and there's the bell. Close again, but LeFevre again."

Cassie: "And, Rachelle now leads 20-18."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Pattern set as we enter the third. It's a static bout and that's being enforced by LeFevre, who's using that left jab and some excellent technique to keep things in the center of the ring and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND FROM REN!"

Cassie: "KEYHOLED!"

O'Dell: "And, Rachelle is hurt! LeFevre stumbling backward and Cristy letting the hands go, driving the older woman into the ropes. Ren HAMMERING away at Rachelle's high guard, trying to get her out of there as this thing has turned on a dime..."

McCarthy: "Ref needs to watch for low blows!"

O'Dell: "Ren working a little body, but mostly staying upstairs. She's trying to find the 'OFF' switch here, but Rachelle making that plenty difficult, keeping the guard high, rolling with, and there's the bell. Big round for Ren, who takes it wide, but the redhead is still standing."

Tess: "And still leading 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth begins with Cristy pressing forward. She's got LeFevre in trouble and she wants to keep her there. Brunette sitting down on punches, cleaning up, looking to finish this thing. Rachelle willing to trade space for time..."

McCarthy: "Just ride it out and she'll be fine..."

O'Dell: "That's what the redhead is trying to do, but Cristy's all over her right now. GOOD right hand from Ren and DOWN GOES RACHELLE! LeFevre dropped with a straight right hand that leaves her flat on her back!"

Tess: "That may well do it."

O'Dell: "Ren to a neutral corner. LeFevre staring up at the referee. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Rachelle sitting up at seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! The count passes the redhead by and it's over! And your winner by KO4 is 'The Russian Revolution' Cristy Ren!"

Cassie: "Nasty punch. Nasty."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Cristy Ren, and, Cristy, little bit of a slow start for you..."

Cristy (nodding): "She had a good fight plan. Slow things down. Box. I just had to be patient, wait for my shot, then not miss the opportunity. And, I didn't."

Tess: "So, what's next for you? More lightweight? Welter? Beach? JMDD?"

Cristy (smiling): "Whatever management wants. I'll be ready!"
