Before: “Sakura and I have sparred a few times when she was new, she’s not too tough. I know her tactics and I am SO ready to exploit them. We even have a post-match humiliation bet on this fight,” Maya says to the reporters with a wink. “b*tch, please. Don’t be lying, it’ll be obvious who’s better after you’re sucking sand in a few rounds,” Sakura says, moving toward Maya to square up, and Maya accepts, moving toward her and they bump chests before corners get involved, pulling them apart.

Fight time rolls around and Maya is out first, wearing a maroon bikini with high waisted bottoms and a front tie top, matching gloves with her long hair flowing freely over her back and her chest. She looks focused as she slides into the ring in between the ropes, jogging the ring briefly before arriving at her corner, arms on the ropes as her corner massages her and gets her ready.

Sakura comes out next in a decidedly more bombastic fashion. She arrives wearing a black micro bikini with matching gloves with her dark brown hair flowing freely, dancing her way to the ring, playing to the crowd and fist bumping anyone who wants to. As she approaches the ropes, she slides in, continuing her dancing for a moment before she begins to move toward her opponent. Maya about to leave her corner to engage but is held back as the ref stops Sakura from advancing. Sakura takes a quick stop at her corner where her top gets adjusted to better fit before both ladies meet in the center of the ring with the ref. Cold stare between the two fighters as rules are read, and there is no effort from either girl for a glove touch. Fighters to their corners, bouncing barefoot in the sand, and the bell rings to start the fight.

Round 1: Both girls out quick as the bell rings, immediately meeting to trade blows. A few jabs land on either side as they look to find openings. Sakura jumps in, throwing a left jab toward Maya’s face, which is promptly swatted away and followed by a right hook that slams into Sakura’s side. Shymko’s feet shift in the sand as she bends from the impact, taking a few steps back to reassess. Toward the end of the round, Maya finds another win, landing a left jab-right straight combo that snaps Sakura’s head back twice. The bell rings before she can find any retribution, and she huffs on her way back to the corner as the round is given narrowly to Higa.

Round 2: Sakura coming out from her corner looking a bit angry that she got caught last round, and she certainly wants some payback. She springs over to meet Maya close to her corner, taking control of center ring as the two ladies start to jab at one another. Shymko working her girl toward the ropes, aggressively cutting off any side steps Higa tries to pull off to get away. Maya digs in, throwing a right hook that mirrors the right hook coming at her from Sakura. Both blows land, saliva and sweat flying off as glove collides with chin, and the girls fall into an awkward clinch as a result, chests rubbing and threatening to move Sakura’s bikini top enough to expose her breasts. It almost looks like Maya is doing it on purpose! Ref steps in to separate and they are back to business, but it looks like Sakura is back a little more as she begins to unload. Maya defending well, but some blows land audibly through her guard, impaling her stomach with a straight before going upstairs and taking an uppercut to the chin. She’s backed toward the ropes as the round comes to a close, with Sakura taking this round narrowly as she goes back to her corner to get her top adjusted from that near wardrobe malfunction.

Round 3: It’s clear the teen is feeling a rush from the end of that last round as she blitzes over toward her opponent to carry on with the momentum. Maya surprised at the move, turtling up as Sakura begins to bully her, peppering her guard with all kinds of punches as she is maneuvered to a neutral corner. Maya’s sloppy with her positioning, not realizing she is getting played until her back hits the post, where she knows she is in trouble now. Sakura unloads, slamming blow after blow against her opponent’s guard, with some finding purchase against the chin or the belly. Maya doubled over after one particularly nasty uppercut to the stomach before a follow up uppercut lands on the chin and rocks her! Higa’s arms posted on the ropes for a moment as she attempts to stay standing, but Sakura’s playing with her food! The teen could have gone for the knockout, but instead chooses to attack her chest! Maya moaning as she is pummeled and still recovering, ref about to give a standing 8 before she begins to defend herself, shortly after clinching with Sakura to survive. Ref separates them and we are back to business, Maya quickly ducking out from the corner and using her jab to keep the bloodthirsty Sakura at bay until the end of the round. Shymko wins the round wide.

Round 4: Maya got a stern talking to from her corner during the break, and she’s out looking strong as the first round. She and Sakura meet in the center of the ring and begin to slug it out. Both girls punching, but an early right hook from Maya hurts Sakura! Shymko stumbling back as Maya continues to wail on her all the way to the ropes. The teen hits the ropes with speed, bouncing off it and using the momentum to do her best to make something happen, throwing a jab while moving away from her opponent. Maya walking her down, cornering her before pressuring her some more. Sakura covering up but Higa is threading her gloves between arms and around the side of the guard, tagging her girl up. After some heavy punishment, Maya lands a nasty uppercut that lands flush on Sakura’s chin right as the bell rings, leaving her dazed and on the verge of unconsciousness as she is left hanging by the ropes, conveniently in her corner. Maya takes the round in a shutout.

Round 5: Maya comes out looking to finish what she started in the fourth round, jogging right up to a clearly dazed Sakura ready to get to work. Shymko putting up a defense but Higa is just picking it apart, tagging her girl everywhere as she works toward a neutral corner. As the two approach, Maya lands a blow to Sakura’s temple, clearly rocking her. Instead of finishing, Maya pushes her into the corner, “Come on, hit me!” she taunts, putting her gloves down and goading her to throw a punch. Sakura throws a right straight, but Maya sees it coming a mile away, ducking it and going to work, pumping three quick uppercuts into Shymko’s exposed belly before coming upstairs with another uppercut that lands on the chin. Sakura scrambling to defend in her addled state as Maya taunts, “Payback time, b*tch!” before she begins to throw blow after blow to Shymko’s chest. One punch, two punches, third punch moves the fabric far enough out of place to expose her and the crowd goes wild! Ref moves to jump in but not before a brutal final uppercut lands on the chin, sending sweat, saliva and a mouthguard flying into the air as the teen’s knees buckle, falling slightly to her side with her shoulders resting on the bottom rope. Maya ushered to a neutral corner when the ref begins counting. Sakura spasming a bit at first, trying to figure out why her whole body isn’t in the sand, before she struggles onto her gloves and knees at 6. Gloves grasping the ropes at 8 but she just can’t pull herself to her feet, and the count passes her by for your winner by KO in the 5th round, Maya Higa!

After: Sakura collapses on her back into the sand, and she doesn’t even know what’s happened to her top yet as Maya approaches. “Remember our bet?” she says menacingly as she drops her gloves and starts pulling Sakura by her sweat-matted hair, bringing her to her gloves and knees before she starts to walk her in a lap around the ring. A little into the humiliation walk, Sakura notices her top, “Maya please… hold on… my top…” she stammers out as Maya continues pulling her along when she resists. “You know what, that’s a good idea!” Maya says sinisterly as she fully unties the bikini top and pulls it off. “I’ll just keep this,” she says as she kicks Sakura’s ribs and lets go of her hair. Shymko rolls onto her back, covering her chest with her gloves as she begins to sob in humiliation as her team comes to the rescue.
