Abigail Ratchford vs Christine McGuinness

BEFORE: There are some fans excited for Christine McGuinness' FCBA debut however Abigail Ratchford isn't one of them: "I know these rookies pick manageable opponents for the maiden dance but this blonde bimbo doesn't know what she's doing. She beat Kelly Brook and Hayley Atwell back in the old country. Big deal. I'm better than both of these punchbags combined so I'm gonna ship her back to England with ease!"

Abigail Ratchford wears a rainbow-themed crop top, micro jeans shorts & silver gloves. Long black hair tied in a curled ponytail. Christine McGuinness wears a red one-piece swimsuit & white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a custom ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Abigail makes sure to set the early tone and her high-octane jabbing leaves plenty of holes in the blonde's defense even if Christine is used to taking a mean punch or two. She weathers the early barrage and loops the overhand response while keeping the close distance. Last thing she needs is to look hesitant on her US market debut and she sticks more leather into the brunette's face down the stretch but the production is kinda even much to the crowd's delight. Some fans expected more jug muggin' tactics since both these women are build for the job alright but they keep it strictly regular until the bell. A quick chest bump follows though and there are some words exchanged before they turn back to their corners.

Round 2:
Christine finds more success punching Abby in the mounds and the fight descends into a phone booth brawl before too long. Can't complain about some bumper cars if only a couple of headbutts make Ratchford verbally annoyed in the process. Christine tells her to zip it and tackles her to the body again; she drives her onto the ropes and does more damage working the harpoon series which leaves the Lioness corner midlly upset come the bell.

Round 3:
More body assault from the blonde who flirts with a low blow but keeps it above the red line to cause more problems for the pre-fight favorite. Maybe Abigail spend too much time sunbathing this spring but she is getting worked over here in the phone booth and McGuinness has some power to play with after all. She bullies the Pennsylvania native back to the ropes and keeps blasting her around the ribcage before a swift move tags the breasts as well. Abigail tries to respond heaving some desperate efforts bit she only bounces off the top of the blonde's forehead and makes very little power contact in the process.

Round 4:
Abigail settles down to work on the blonde's bumpers and finally slows the English assault to the point she outmuscles the tourist in a genuine wrestling struggle before a swift bomb tags the chin and wobbles McGuinness to her heels. Ugh! Christine tries to swing from there but her aerial charge doesn't find as much success and she allows the brunette to counterpunch her with better results. Ugh! One of the American's hooks tears a small gash across the nose and freezes the Blackpool woman on the spot before a left/right combo tags the temples and wobbles the blonde into a powerful chin-checker right at the bell. Woof. Christine really felt that last punch and tries to shake it off during the interval but...

Round 5:
...here comes Abigail for the slam dunk finish and she tags the exposed chin with another uppercut flurry suddenly wrecking the UK high-guard in stone cold fashion. Christine tries to reach out over the top but gets busted with another combo and slumps with a whimper just as Ratchford SMOKES her with a left hook on the ear that DROPS THE BLONDE FLAT ON HER BACK!!! Uh-oh!!! Abby really put some power behind that last series and the English tourist stays down on her back covering her face with her gloves. Too much vertigo to deal with and it's over soon enough. KO5 Abigail Ratchford!!!

AFTER: That was a bit of a lucky escape for the dark-haired glamour model who found her physical match but was able to deliver the supreme punch in the end. A vintage welterweight tussle where there's not much to choose between two well-build women. Christine has taken the Brook & Atwell scalps before so she might yet turn some heads on the US scene and many pundits expect her to end up on Charlize Theron's long list of "new" opponents before too long.
