Mikie Hara vs Lacey Banghard
(Words: Revolution / Results: Lookout!)
R1: Mikie Hara and Lacey Banghard, two former champions, clash tonight. Hara’s experience is mostly with the Flyweight belt while Banghard has fought mostly in JMD, and it shows in their respective styles. Lacey is more prone to go for the chest while Hara is a proper headhunter even though both are quite endowed at G. Because this is not a JMD fight and because punches to the head are more damaging, the judges award Hara the round 10-9.

R2: Banghard, after a few words from her corner, lets go of her tit obsession and surprises Mikie with a hook that clips her face. For the rest of the round they fight to a standstill, and by the virtue of that hook, the round goes to Banghard.

R3: Mikie seems a little miffed that the last round had gone to Banghard over such a miniscule thing, and the distraction on her mind makes her pay. Lacey punches her face in with a right-left combo of jabs before turning to her chest, then turns back to the face only to find Mikie ready for her. Hara’s counters miss, but they are enough to put Banghard on the back foot as her follow-ups to those counters crack Banghard’s guard open, leaving her scrambling to rebuild. Unfortunately, she is unable to press this as Lacey rebuilds quickly, stonewalling her off for the rest of the round.

R4: Hara continues to try to break Lacey’s guard, but is unsuccessful, and eats a liver punch in the second minute for her trouble. It takes her down for an eight count, much to Lacey’s dismay, for Hara had the better technique and better stamina. Both had once been champion, aye, but the Flyweight belt was considered a tad bit more prestigious for certain reasons.

R5: Mikie is increasingly in control as Lacey begins to flag. She settles for a controlling approach, walling Lacey off and throwing counterpunches as needed, letting Lacey wear herself out, which gives her the round by a thin margin.

R6: Satisfied with last round’s results, Mikie Hara closes in. Banghard didn’t have to wait long to get banged hard, Hara showcasing champion power. She begins to break down in a drunken retreat. The desperate glamor model buckles and squirms as a blazing right and a gut-busting left slice through her ribs. Her mouthpiece flies out of the ring as Hara takes her head off with a left that nearly sweeps her head off her shoulders. Banghard crumples to the canvas, sprawling awkwardly onto her side before unraveling against the base of the ropes.

Winner: Mikie Hara via KO6!

After the match, Hara says: “I’ve still got that champion-worthy power. It took a bit of time for me to find my footing in a new organization and a new stable, but I’ve found it. Those losses were flukes. Asuka is weak. Brielle is weak. They know it. And so is Jorgie Porter… I think. I’m coming for her, and for her belt.
