Millie Bobby Brown versus Dove Cameron

BEFORE:

Pair of former Unified Flyweight Champions in this one, and no hype needed, as there's zero doubt these two brunettes are two of the best fighters in the world under 110. And, as you might imagine, both are brimming with confidence. "Dove's the real deal," Millie admits. "But, I'm the best flyweight in the world. Those are just the facts."

"Here's a fact for Millie," says Dove with a sneer. "When I smack her in the face and she hits the canvas, it WILL hurt. A lot."

ROUND ONE:

Brunettes working at range. Brown has the reach, but it doesn't matter a whit in this stanza, because Dove, as usual, is here, there, and everywhere. The athletic Cameron spends the round bouncin' and misbehavin', while Millie looks to locate with that left and drop right hands on the older woman. It's a good, back-and-forth round, with both brunettes having moments and neither able to gain any kind of control. Instead, we get plenty of two-way, crowd-pleasing action and even some VERY solid shot traded in the final thirty seconds. When the bell rings, it's plenty close, but it's Cameron who claims the points and grabs the 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO:

Ladies back at it on the same terms to start the second. Once again, both fighters having some success getting their respective boxes on, with Dove the one showing more movement, while Millie sets up behind the left jab...BOOM! Right hand, BROWN and CAMERON IS HURT! Millie times a PERFECT one-two and Dove is ALL WOBBLY BUTT! British beauty letting the hands go, backing Dove up and pinning her to the cables then going to work on that BODY. She's hooking ribs and tenderizing tummy, then going upstairs to SNAP back the American's head with a right hand. Ref on high alert, but Cameron manages to hang on to the bell. When it rings, Brown's taken the points wide to even things at 19.

ROUND THREE:

Brown rampant. Dove is still buzzed and the legs aren't there. And, with the American unable to use movement, the Brit simply lines her up and blitzes her again and again with hard, accurate shot. Cameron's trying to run clock here, staying on defense, giving ground, trying, without a lot of success, to stay off the ropes. Mostly what she's doing, however, is being paraded out to the woodshed where brown uses all and sundry pieces of wood to give her a lashing. Cameron's game. She hangs on desperately and manages to stay on her feet and keep the ref at bay. But, that's ALL she manages, and, when the bell rings, Millie's pitched the shutout to lead 29-28.

ROUND FOUR:

Brown determined to finish this thing. She's walking Dove down behind the jab and EATING A RIGHT HAND COUNTER! Cameron KEYHOLES a lovely right hand, and now it's Millie who's butt is wobbling! American immediately over to the offensive, winging away with both hands and forcing a retreating Millie to the ropes. Now, it's DOVE'S turn to dish out some punishment, and she does so, to every legal inch of Brown's body, even hooking a little rack for emphasis. Ref's looking in closely, but Brown's hanging on, figuratively and literally and makes it to the bell. When it rings, Cameron's taken it wide and evened things up again, this time at 38.

ROUND FIVE:

Dove pressing the issue in a big way. She's got Brown in deep trouble and she's taking full advantage of that, backing the younger woman up again and again with sharp flurries of hard leather. Millie now the one trading space for time, as Dove looks to find the 'Off' switch, only to find that the British beauty's done a very good job of hiding it. Still, Cameron's dominating the proceedings, scoring tons of points and piling up loads of punishment. For her part, Brown's legs seem to be firming up some by the late going, but she's still on the defensive, held there by a determined Dove. By the time the bell rings, the American has pitched a shutout of her own and pulled into a 48-47 lead at the half.

ROUND SIX:

Dove pressing the issue, but now Millie determined to hold canvas and it's HAMMER AND TONGS in there! Two brunettes toe-to-toe hot tossing! They're throwing bombs and absorbing bombs, all while trying to slip and block bombs! TONS of heavy fire exchanged as neither fighter will take a backward step! Both American and Brit are sometimes FORCED back a step, but both women immediately step back to and go back to work. Dove determined to grab control of this thing back. Millie unwilling to relinquish control. So, on it goes. A scintillating round with tons of action and, when the bell rings, not a lot in it. It's Brown who takes the points narrowly, though, and we're even again, this time at 57.

ROUND SEVEN:

Hammer. And. Tongs. Neither brunette willing to cede the initiative to the other, so we're right back where we were in the sixth, with Millie and Dove trading bombs in the middle of the ring, both determined to impose will, neither willing to be imposed upon...BOOM! Right hand, BROWN and Dove is HURT! Cameron staggers and is DROPPED BY A RIGHT HOOK! American down on her right side as the Brit strides to a neutral corner. Dove pushing to haunch and elbow at seven...but can get no further! It's OVER! The count passes her by and it's OVER and your winner by KO7 in thrilling fashion is Millie Bobby Brown!

AFTER:

Brown looking a mess, and, you should see the other guy, because she doesn't look any better. It was a war in there, one Millie came out victorious in, and she's basking in that. "I told you all that I was better than her. I'm the best flyweight in the world, and I just keep proving it. Who's next?"
