R1: Irie and Blank have fought before with Blank losing, and it looks to be the same this time around. Barbie Blank, also newly a mother, struggles to find her footing against the smaller, more agile Saaya, her ring skills having gone to rust in her long absence from any sort of athletic endeavor. Irie takes the first round by a close margin, packing Barbara off to her corner with a straight fist to the face at the end of the round.

R2: Blank enters round two with a ferocious attack, briefly managing to overwhelm the smaller girl with its intensity, her fists already hitting face and head even as Irie raises her guard. Irie manages to stabilize by going low beneath Blank’s guard, but takes too many hits to the head to break out of the corner that Blank’s early momentum had put her in. Barbara takes the round by a wide margin, leaving Irie hurt and breathless.

R3: Barbara closes in for the kill, continuing to punish the smaller woman with attacks that go above her guard, pushing her into the neutral corner, where she remains for the better part of the round.

As the second minute wanes into the third, Irie’s legs give way, sinking her halfway to the mat before her feet find purchase and she catches herself. Blank’s punch sails over her head, and the blonde leans into her, inertia taking over after her fist’s momentum found no resistance.

Suddenly there comes a nasty crunch, Irie bouncing back with a savage overhand to Blank’s teeth. The platinum blonde stumbles back a step listlessly as her head snaps back; squelching as she teeters on her heels. A wild counter sails Saaya’s way only to find air as she ducks under that, too. Going low, she folds Blank in half with a straight to the waist, then finishes her off with an uppercut to face of the bent woman, lifting the former Diva in an arc of spit and sweat as her head snaps back again. The ten count comes and goes with Barbara unresponsive on the mat, staring at the white brightness up high with blank and unfocused eyes.
