Sayuki Matsumoto vs Won-young Jang
(Words: Revolution / Results: Lookout!)

R1: Won-young Jang is rather unorthodox in her fighting style, boxing almost as though she were kung-fu fighting, and Sayuki Matsumoto finds it hard to dodge those fists as fast as lightning. To think that she is a former Lightweight champion! Unbelievable - the inexperienced Korean is knocking Sayuki around, punching her senseless! Sayuki manages to rally, but cannot turn the tide, only stem it, conceding the round to Jang by a wide margin.

R2: Surprise wears off, though, so, while Sayuki still seems to be finding her footing against the Korean, she is no longer being knocked around. She opts for a more defensive posture while she continues to figure out Won-young, and so the round is a draw.

R3: Sayuki opens the third round swift and fast, and Won-young has no answer. The power that won the belt all those years ago is apparent in Sayuki’s fists as Jang becomes her plaything, eventually reduced to a mess by the third minute. Then, almost lazily, Sayuki tips her over with a jab to the chin, putting her out at last.

Winner: Sayuki Matsumoto via KO3!
