MODEL MAYHEM AT THE ASYLUM IV: THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL

Posted by HBO's Boxing At The Asylum on 30 April 2024 at 5:48 pm

BEFORE:

"I'm a little disappointed that I haven't gotten another opportunity before now," Emily admits. "But, I'm here now and I'm going to take out Demaiter and prove I deserve FCBA fights!"

"This girl is a little full of herself," says Mikayla with a smile. "We'll just go fix that right now."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Rebel Girl' by Bikini Kill, and here comes the lovely Emily Elizabeth!"

McCarthy: "YAWN! Another Typical Dancing Hooker Opponent with NO FCBA wins!"

Tess: "To be fair, she's only had ONE FCBA fight..."

McCarthy: "Which she LOST."

O'Dell (sighing): "Emily into the ring and helped off with the robe, and the crowd popping for the blonde beauty in that bubblegum pink number we've seen before. And, that's 'Behold The Hurricane' by Horrible Crows you hear behind us, and here comes Mikayla 'Mass Destruction' Demaiter..."

Cassie: "And, Mikayla no stranger to JMD, though she's also working on the beach and in regular bantam action for Front Street."

O'Dell:"Demaiter into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that cobalt blue bikini that always gets the crowd going..."

McCarthy: "Philly. Low standards!"

O'Dell: "Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes MIkayla. Mac?"

McCarthy: "NO FCBA wins! Demaiter!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Third straight unanimous panel, and Emily out to make everyone look bad. Brunette stepping right to the blonde and backing her up with heavy fire. Mikayla on the back foot immediately, as Emily gets things going in a big way early..."

Tess: "Not a lot to lose for Elizabeth..."

O'Dell: "And, she's definitely fighting that way at the moment. Emily's grabbed control from the opening seconds, and she's keeping it by keeping Mikayla on the defensive. Demaiter able to counter in spots, but that's about it at the moment."

McCarthy: "If the kid can keep this up, she's going to win the fight."

O'Dell: "We're into the last ten seconds of what's been a great round for the brunette. GOOD combination, Emily, as she hooks a little rack there and backs Demaiter up again. And, there's the bell. Not close. Elizabeth."

Cassie: "And, Emily grabs the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway and Demaiter determined to hold ground now. She's firing right back at Emily and we've got a FIREFIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! Blonde and brunette getting AFTER it right now, winging away with both hands..."

McCarthy: "And working that RACK!"

O'Dell: "They are, indeed, but they aren't ignoring the head or body, either. Every legal inch is fair game right now, as these two bantams trade some serious bombs. GOOD right by Emily and Mikayla backs her up a step with a left hook..."

Cassie: "This can't last for long..."

O'Dell: "You wouldn't think so, no. Too much heavy leather being exchanged right now. Just fifteen seconds left in this stanza, however, and it looks like both will make it to the bell. There it is, and there's nothing in it at all. Even round."

Tess: "Which leaves Elizabeth up a point, 20-19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Ladies backing the aggression down some now, but that doesn't mean they aren't giving one another a thorough working over. They're in the phone booth right now, in the center of the ring, banging away to head, body, rack."

Tess: "Not sitting down on everything and playing a little more defense this stanza."

O'Dell: "And, that's making somewhat of a difference, because we're seeing a lot of leather being slipped and blocked. But, there's a ton flying, so plenty is still getting through. Nobody really gaining much of an edge here."

McCarthy: "But, both girls are getting work done."

O'Dell: "Final ticks rolling off the clock in what's been a VERY physical third round. GOOD right hand by Emily backs Mikayla up a step and there's the bell. Very, very close, but the brunette is going to get the points in this one."

Cassie: "And, Emily extends her lead to 30-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Ladies back to the grind. They're banging away on the inside as they have been the last couple of rounds. Nobody giving any quarter, and nobody asking for any. Blonde and brunette just working one another over, doing plenty of investing in the body..."

McCarthy: "And, that will pay off at some point."

O'Dell: "One would imagine that it would. The question is when and for whom. GOOD right from Demaiter and that backed Emily up a step. Mikayla stepping in and backing the brunette up again, but Elizabeth fires right back and hooks some rack."

Cassie: "I didn't think this could get much more physical, but it is."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Twenty seconds to go in yet another competitive round. Demaiter working body, lands a nice right hook to the head and there's the bell. Once again, it's a very close round, but the blonde gets on the board."

Tess: "And cuts Emily's lead to 39-38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with Demaiter backing up Elizabeth with a series of hard shots to the head. Emily forced to cover up and give ground for the first time in the fight. Mikayla goes body and the brunette ties up and hangs on to get a break..."

McCarthy: "Ref needs to watch low blows!"

O'Dell: "Mikayla determined to impose will now, and that's what's happening, at least for the moment. Emily's in retreat, countering here and there, but mostly remaining on the defensive as the blonde works her to the head and body, while not neglecting the rack."

Tess: "Demaiter's in control all of a sudden."

O'Dell: "She is, and, with just fifteen ticks left on the clock in this round, that isn't going to change in the fifth. NICE combination by Demaiter backs up the brunette and there's the bell. For the first time since the first round, no doubt about it. Mikayla."

Cassie: "And, we're even at 48 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Demaiter pressing forward as we begin the sixth. She's gotten Emily into reverse and she's determined to keep her there. Brunette giving ground grudgingly, firing back, but being forced back despite her efforts to hold canvas..."

Cassie: "Lots of body work still being done, but both women head-hunting more now."

O'Dell: "And, with solid effect. A lot of heavy leather is landing upstairs, with Mikayla getting the better of things and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND, EMILY! Demaiter is HURT! Elizabeth going RACK, hammering away and then DROPPING DEMAITER WITH A RIGHT UPPERCUT!"

McCarthy: "YES! What a SHOT!"

O'Dell: "Mikayla dropped to her back, caught crouching with a nasty uppie. Emily to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Demaiter rolling to her belly at six. Seven. Eight. Pushing to hands and knees at nine...TEN! It's OVER! Mikayla still on all fours as the count passes her by and it's OVER and your winner by KO6 in upset fashion is Emily Elizabeth!"

Tess: "Wow! That may be a very big win for this young woman's career."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Emily Elizabeth, and, Emily, how does it feel to get the first win of your career?"

Emily (smiling): "Obviously, it feels pretty great. But, let's be clear. This is EXACTLY what I expected to happen tonight. I don't see this as an upset. I'm better than she is, and I proved it. It's that simple."

Tess: "What's next for you?"

Emily: "Well, I mean. We're open for business. Any stable out there need a 25-year-old model who can fight bantam, JMD, and beach and win fights at the disrobe? ANY fight I'm in is a poster fight. So. You know where to find me, managers. I'm open for business."
