Tanya Mityushina vs Ann-Kathrin Brommel (BBU Independent vs Black Eagle Boxing) (3-3, 3 KO vs 9-11, 8 KO) Results: BBU; Story: Vassago
BEFORE: Both these models eye another opportunity at the lightweight title in the foreseeable future but some experts still doubt whether Tanya Mityushina has what it takes to become an elite performer within the division. She beat the dangerous Yasmin Verheijen last month but that's someone Ann-Kathrin Brommel scratched off her list before already so the German brunette claims she will remove Tanya from the contenders' pool tonight either way.
Tanya Mityushina wears a black bikini set & red gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Ann-Kathrin Brommel wears a white bikini set & brown gloves. Long light brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1: It's a quick start from both these models who clearly want to set immediate tone and hurt each other as much as possible. Tanya is stunned with a monster hook on the jaw that becomes the hardest punch of the opening minute and allows Ann-Kathrin to gain control in close range thereafter. She sticks her mitts into the blonde's face and profits from the fact Tanya simply refuses to back off even when she gets blasted with superior boxing wrath. She holds her ground despite leaking many punches and taunts Brommel into punching even harder. Which the German does by slamming a late hook on the jaw that leaves the blonde on soft knees at the bell.
Round 2: Tanya storms into contention by paying back the head-hunting favor and this time it's Ann-K who gets stunned by a vicious combo on the jaw which then allows the other woman to control the slugging action. Black Eagles coach Gina Wild keeps her calm even when Tanya grinds the brunette back to the ropes and whips her on the breasts to cause a sudden squeal of pain. Ugh! Brommel didn't see that switch coming but as she lowers the guard Mityushina immediately resumes the aerial pounce and clobbers the older model into an earmuff cover. Ann-Kathrine offers a weak response from behind the guard and cuts a frustrated figure when the bell finally halts the blonde's charge.
Rounds 3 & 4: More back & forth swinging from both women who clearly don't put much effort into avoiding punches and simply want to wreck each other. Ann-Kathrin's lips begin to swell half-way through the third round but she leaves a small gash across Tanya's nose in response. Both women display improved punching resistance in general though BBU TV's Denise van Outen claims they simply skim off the flesh too often and struggle to connect with genuine power punches... until Tanya whacks the German in the breasts again to start the fourth to wreck immediate havoc. She doubles down on the body assault and cripples Brommel into loud spasms before a drilling uppercut series spins the older model back to the ropes. Ann-Kathrin tries to swing back from behind the guard again but bounces off the blonde's forearms and eats another hooking combo to slump into more spasms at the bell.
Round 5: Tanya opens the fifth with a vicious uppercut combo on the chin and hurts the brave German who loses her balance upon impact. Another left hook tags the temple and almost drops Brommel onto the canvas... she manages to avoid it... for like two seconds since Mityushina blitzes her with another left hook on the ear and this time gravity takes over. Ann-Kathrin crumbles to her knees and ends up battling vertigo half-way through the count. She makes it back to her feet at eight but still cuts a shaky figure so Tanya overruns her with more slugging wrath when the fight is resumed. A couple of wild hooks crash into her mouth and she wobbles forward to meet another vicious uppercut blast that finally pulls the plug on her resistance. Ann-Kathrin drops flat on her back with a loud whimper and even the ref knows it's all over so he doesn't bother with the count. KO5 Tanya Mityushina!!!
AFTER: Maybe it's time to seriously consider Tanya as a genuine title contender but Denise van Outen isn't ready to roll out the red carpet yet. Meanwhile Ann-Kathrin is destined to review her ambitions once again, she's too skilled to be dismissed as mere gatekeeper but she can't quite get over that contender hump for whatever reason. DVO believes one can't buy an iron chin and that appears to be one area that makes the negative difference for the German model.
Official Result: Tanya Mityushina def. Ann-Kathrin Brommel KO5.
