Intro:
It's time for the final bout of round one. Maroles Horst and Bianca Belair both wanting to be in the final semi final spot in the Golden Ticket tournament. One fighter will leave though with a bruised ego here in San Francisco's Levi's Stadium.
Maroles has become a little bit of the forgotten woman in the Dutch revolution happening in the BBU. She will be hoping to win this tournament to remind people she is up there with the best in the world. Form wise is mixed as she has defeated the likes of Chrissy Teigan in the past year, she also lost to Kennedy McCann though earlier this year.
WWE superstar Bianca Belair meanwhile hasn't fought much in the boxing ring but doesn't have too bad a record at two wins out of four bouts. Former Diamond Boxing Tournament competitor Charlotte Flair was her last opponent over a year ago. Bianca just lost a ten round war that could have went either way. Can she bounce back tonight in a big way?
Fight Night! Maroles is out first wearing a navy blue sports bra with orange trim, matching trunks and shoes, orange coloured gloves and her hair tied into a ponytail. Maroles gets into the ring and bounces on her toes as she is told by her coach to prove she belongs in this field.
Out comes Bianca now with her coach following. Bianca blows a few kisses with her silver coloured gloves. She has a silver sports bra, matching shoes, while she has a red lipstick pattern on the right left of her silver trunks, hair tied into a bun. She climbs into the ring flexing her arms for the camera as the "EST" tries to show she is truly the strongest in the field.
The referee brings the fighters to the center. Bianca bouncing on her toes smiling, Maroles scowls at her in response. They do touch gloves with a little extra sting behind it. Jogging to their corners as the time to prove yourself begins now as the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.
Round 1:
Out they come exchanging around the middle of the ring. Bianca is upping the pace with a few hooks around the torso of her opponent. Maroles shows her calm demeanor to step back and land a few stiff jabs in return to the face of the WWE superstar.
Bianca trying to pin down Maroles. She is sidestepped by the Dutch model. Maroles landing a crisp right cross punches across her face. Following up with a left hook/straight combo to push Bianca back onto her heels. Maroles now is driving Bianca back towards the ropes behind the wrestler.
While Belair manages to nudge off Maroles to create space. Horst isn't letting her breath that freely. Maroles landing more punches in bunches compared to Bianca. The round ends with Maroles off to a good start as Bianca still has a spring to her step as she walks back to her corner.
Round 2:
Maroles looking up for this as she is ramming more punches through to the face of Bianca. Who finds herself having to give up ground. Herded around near the ropes certainly doesn't look something that's making Bianca comfortable. Maroles switches up her targets to make it even harder for Belair to protect herself.
Needing to step up a gear herself. Bianca is starting to swing more punches off her back foot. A few punches landing flush on the cheeks of Maroles to give her something to think about. The Dutch star getting back to her jab to try to keep Bianca from coming back at her.
They are exchanging more flurries as they move towards the end of the round. Bianca can't find her way in close as she'd hope though and at the bell Maroles looks happy enough with how things have went so far. Bianca meanwhile not smiling now as she returns to her own corner.
Round 3:
Bianca coming out more quickly to engage her opponent. Maroles lands a few solid jabs but is getting caught over the top by some right hooks as Bianca is wanting to pressure her backwards. A straight catches Maroles around her nose to make her flinch as she takes a step back.
Now Bianca looks to have her opening as she lands an uppercut. Maroles finding herself pinned to the ropes as Bianca now switches to the body. Needing to hold onto Bianca to slow her down. They are split apart with Bianca looking keen to keep on top of her opponent. They resume with both landing stinging punches around the others cheeks.
A left hook catches Maroles on her jaw to twist her head. Bianca starting to lay in her power as she keeps driving back Maroles and pinning her down. The round ends with Bianca now the one looking fired up as she goes to her corner. Horst meanwhile isn't showing any hints of worry after probably giving up her first round to her opponent.
Round 4:
Again Bianca is off her stool quickly forcing the issue off the bat. Maroles was the one controlling the pace of the fight but now she is being forced into firefights with a hard hitter. A right cross lands flush into the face of Maroles to open a cut on her nose. Bianca follows up with a left hook on her chin to twist her head around.
Into a neutral corner Maroles is forced into. Bianca again switches to the body as she is doing everything she can to use these chances to their fullest. Maroles clinches up with her and Bianca uses her body to press into the model to make this as uncomfortable as she can.
Broken apart with around a minute to go in the round. Maroles boxing more defensively as she catches Bianca coming in with hooks. They exchange more evenly towards the end of the round as Belair slows down her charges forwards. The round ending with Bianca seemingly evening the score on rounds up. Momentum behind her as Maroles looks annoyed that she got cut.
Round 5:
Maroles is throwing more two punch combos now. She is catching Bianca around her forehead as they box around the middle of the ring. The veteran not wanting to be pin down understandably is looking to Bianca think about her attacks more. Bianca gets a cut on her bottom lip from a left hook that slices across it.
At the half way point Bianca has her best success as she changes up her attack by ducking under a straight to land one of her own into the belly button of her foe. Maroles groans out and finds herself taking an overhand left across her jaw. Bianca managing to drive Maroles back till the older fighter managers to push her off to get into space.
Late on in the round it's Maroles who catches Bianca with a short right hook that lands on her cheek before a jab slams again into that cut lip to make Bianca wince. Maroles has Bianca covering up more into the home stretch of the round. The bell rings with Maroles looking relieved to have slowed the momentum of her rival. Bianca meanwhile gets cleaned up as she sits on her stool with a hard look to her.
Round 6:
Trading more punches in bunches to start the round. Both women are starting to dig their toes into the canvas and swing through their hips. Maroles looks happy enough when she scores her punches on the cut lip of Bianca. While Bianca lands some crisp shots on the cut of Maroles to make the model groan with a grimace.
Going towards the half way mark, Bianca catches Maroles with a short sweeping left on her chin to twist her head. Bianca muscles back Maroles into the ropes, where she whacks away at her torso till they are split up. Maroles landing a few nice jabs when they resume as she looks to get things back to her pace.
Problem for Horst is she gets caught over the top with a right after Belair ducks under a jab. Bianca starting to land more cleaner and harder shots as she moves her upper torso more to create counter opportunities. At the bell Maroles and Bianca both take a moment to stare each other down before walking to their corners, annoyed that the other is pushing them so hard before walking to their corners to be cleaned up.
Round 7:
Both coming out hot but it's Bianca who lands the first big shot as again she crouches under a jab to this time land a jab under the chin of Maroles. An overhand right follows to send sweat and a little blood flying from Horst. Belair pushing the pace up a notch as she smacks back her opponent towards a neutral corner.
After clinching up with Bianca. Maroles looks relived that the referee has broken them apart so she can get into space. Both women fighting hard but it's Bianca who looks to be growing in confidence and strength. Maroles on the other hand is giving up ground to the wrestler.
Late in the round a right hook turns Maroles head around. Back goes the Dutch fighter to her heels as Belair comes forwards with hard shots flying. MAROLES NUDGES BACK BIANCA BUT BACK COMES BIANCA WITH A VICIOUS RIGHT HAYMAKER THAT SENDS THE GUMSHIELD OF MAROLES FLYING OUT HER MOUTH! DOWN GOES MAROLES ONTO HER BACK WITH EYES SHUT!
"EST!" Chants break out as Bianca marches over to the neutral corner. 1....2....3.....4... Maroles coach is yelling at her as the bang their hands on the ring apron to try to wake her up. 5.....6....7... The issue is Maroles is snoozing as she lays flat on her back. 8....9....10 it was only a matter of time! Maroles is counted out!

After:
What a way to end the opening round! Bianca has knocked Maroles out cold as she shows her raw power. Bianca walks over to her corner to high five her corner team after she spits her gumshield out. This was probably not the way she wanted to win the fight as she looks concerned turning to look at her fallen foe.
After a minute Maroles is thankfully sitting up but still looks a little surprised by what happened. She is taken out the ring with help from medics so she can be checked over in the backstage area. Sadly it's part of the dangers of this sport, especially in such a close fight that goes long that someone is going to take a nasty trip to the canvas. She should be proud of her effort.
While Bianca gets her right hand raised by the referee. She smiles before blowing a few kisses to the camera. She knows now that she faces Alexina Graham in semi final number two. The question now is can Bianca get herself into the final? Well it's another fit model in her way, can she make it two for two tonight on that front.
Bianca ever the showwoman does pose for some selfies with fans at ringside. Walking to the back moments later as she'll be patched up. Power versus technique is already what pundits are debating about the upcoming semi final bout between Belair and Graham. Which will come out on top? |
