Luisa Zissman vs Yumi Kobayashi
(2-3, 2 KO vs BBU Debut)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Luisa Zissman still hopes to do a number on Helen Flanagan in the foreseeable future however a couple of losses toned down her audacity factor and she has to aim for a designated low-hanging fruit in newcomer Yumi Kobayashi who claims to be more than just another distraction from the Ayako Hamada-operated universe. Most pundits don't give the Japanese model much of a chance even against the largely unproven Zissman who still makes most of her talking outside of the ring!

Luisa Zissman wears a green bikini set & silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Yumi Kobayashi wears a light blue bikini set & black gloves. Long brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Luisa thinks she will dominate the rookie with some hard sinkers but she's getting bullied to the body straight away and struggles to connect with the intended aerial assault before Yumi thumps her between the cups and drops her into early spasms. The Japanese model continues to apply the high-rate and she bounces Zissman onto the ropes to really turn some heads around the Cardiff Arena and leaves the British woman scowling in discomfort once she gets belted with more power downstairs. Woof. Helen Flanagan must be loving this IF she's watching the coverage and there's not much Luisa can do about the fast-working newcomer for the rest of the round so she takes a rather painful lesson after three minutes of action.

Round 2:
Luisa charges to even the score and she connects with several single strikes in the opening minute but doesn't seem to hurt the Japanese newcomer too much. Yumi shows superior mobility to stay out of the Brit's range and she frustrates her with some overhand loops down the stretch. It seems like Ayako Hamada has prepared her latest discovery in better fashion or maybe Zissman simply expected a genuine pushover tonight. She gets on with more head shots come the final minute but still cuts an angry figure when the referee pulls her away when she seemingly was in line to clobber the fellow brunette back to the turnbuckle.

Round 3:
More action from inside to open the third. Luisa tries to muscle the younger brunette to the body but she doesn't find the required success down there and still eats a couple of wild hits over the top. Yumi comes forward again as if she has nothing lose and she truly doesn't after all. She thumps Zissman's mounds and flicks a right hook on the jaw to stagger the Milton Keynes veteran onto her heels. Another wild hook connects with the nose soon afterwards and leaves a bloody gash that somehow triggers a feisty response from the British woman. However Yumi blocks it off and digs more jug shots to frustrate Luisa beyond approval. A low hit catches the referee's attention but Zissman gets away with a warning to close out the round.

Round 4:
Yumi fires another aerial series and works on that bloody cut whereas Luisa seeks tackling her to the body so both women lean into each other in crowd-pleasing fashion until a clash of heads slows them down. Luisa recovers first and whacks Yumi on the nose before lacing a left hook on the jaw that rattles the Japanese model for the first time tonight. She stumbles onto her heels and fails to navigate another Zissman slugging series that drops her onto the ropes blowing steam from her mouth. Luisa takes full advantage of the sudden trap and lays it into the newcomer who bellows out behind a tight earmuff to hang on for the bell.

Round 5:
Luisa gives it another lick upstairs and she gets to Kobayashi with more power this time, bouncing the newcomer side to side until she scythes her with a wild hook on the ear. Uh-oh! Yumi sinks on soft knees and drops her gloves low enough for the British woman to BLAST her with a clean heater on the jaw!!! AND DOWN GOES THE TOURIST!!! Woof. Luisa smacked that out of the park and Yumi can only recover onto all fours half-way through the count before she falls flat on her face again. Double woof. That one will hurt in the morning! KO5 Luisa Zissman!!!

AFTER: Some Helen Flanagan fans call this a fortunate win for Luisa who didn't exactly control the bout here but she found that big punch when she needed it. Meanwhile Yumi looked more than serviceable on her boxing debut but it's unlikely she will become anything more than a Front Street Japan associate in need of bantamweight depth. Then again Ayako Hamada still thinks she runs the best crew in the eastern hemisphere and refuses to address potential stable war rumours against those pesky Dragons.

Official Result: Luisa Zissman def. Yumi Kobayashi KO5.
