BEFORE: Jesy Nelson begins her post-Frankie's Foxes boxing life and she's a long shot to keep a competitive appearance outside of the JMD genre so let's see how she does going against Renee Herbert who dropped out of the elite contention ever since losing to flyweight Lily Collins on her FCBA debut in December 2022. Renee fell to unheralded Isabelle Mathers soon after that and suddenly the wheels really came off that Aussie wagon but here she is ready to reboot her dwindling challenge and even Jesy's infamous loud mouth might not be good enough to stop her tonight!

Jesy Nelson wears a red crop top, micro jeans shorts & silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. Renee Herbert wears a white crop top, micro jeans shorts & golden gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Jesy goes for the quick swing and hopes to smack one into Renee's face but she loses the initial exchange where the Aussie model can use her superior reach and she's the one smacking some hard leather to please the Cardiff audience. One has to say Jesy is quite a controversial character but she thrives on all that noise to sell tickets and that's one way to remain in business. Word is her ex-manager Frankie Cocozza - who calls Australia his home these days - struck this deal but it's not like scouting Renee was the clever choice as Jesy keeps leaking more punches during the opening minute and staggers onto the corner while the Gold Coast model pours in more heat and pummels the singer behind a tight earmuff to keep the East London mouth firmly shut!

Round 2:
Renee powers on with more leather and she hurts Jesy up the middle after another head-hunting challenge. Jesy tries to match the intensity of the fellow brunette's slugging but she gets bounced off balance and has to seek respite through some quick footwork which isn't exactly her favored idea. Renee pounces on the shaky retreat and pummels the singer back to the turnbucle where she metodically hoofs the high-guard aside and leaves Nelson choking on some hard leather before a wild harpoon on the navel bends the older brunette into loud spasms at the bell.

Round 3:
One can never put it past Frankie C. to work the evil twist and neither he nor Myleene Klass seem awfully upset that Jesy is getting a workout here. Renee pummels her top to bottom to open the third before another gut punch breaks the singer down and forces her to take a knee! Ugh! That almost came out of nowhere and perhaps Jesy simply took it before things got worse. She still tells the ref to mind the clock but she's up at eight and actually goes for a wild swing herself. She nicks in a couple of good hooks into Renee's face before taking a wild heater on the nose. AND DOWN SHE GOES dropping flat on her back amid a wild cheer from the audience! Woof! The bell rings out a few seconds later so the proud East Londoner gets saved at the last moment however Renee calls for Myleene Klass to throw in the towel or else...

Round 4:
Herbert goes in for the merciless plan and she thumps immediate leather into Nelson's face leaving her all staggered before a booming right hook on the mouth puts her down. And it seems like she's had enough of this treatment as she spits out the gumshield and lets the referee count her out. KO4 Renee Herbert!!!

AFTER: The Australian challenger proved she can take care of an inferior opponent and she's set to regain some of the lost ground but it's anyone's guess what's up with the Jesy Nelson schedule. She could still be useful doing JMD but she barely sniffed a competitive period against Herbert and actually doesn't seem too upset about it. Denise van Outen thinks the former Little Mix member secured a large appearance fee for her services and she does sell those tickets after all. The Foxes might have let her go but she still takes the bedroom discount according to unnamed sources...
