Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse

BEFORE:
"I mean...I got better things to worry about than Ice Spice...” Avril makes a loud scoff from the press table. With another huff and smile for the cameras, she continues, “So..like, I'm obviously not worried about fighting a complete newbie fighting for the first time, duh. I fucked up every debuting girl I've ever faced and tonight's going to be the same. Ice may look big and strong, she’s literally a Bantam, but I bet she's slow as f*ck and has no idea what to do when I start kicking her ass in there. She's got literally zero experience. NOT worried.”

Avril ends her tirade with a cocky smirk, and she’s right about that fact, folks, with the slew of notable debutante singers lying broken in her wake. Despite being the favorite tonight, The punk-princess is looking as vulnerable as ever as she returns to action for the first time tonight since suffering the wrath of current champion Emma Roberts, who beat her twice in a row in March, and one has to wonder if the Canadian has already properly recovered or if tonight is going to be another disaster for her.

As for Miss Ice? Spice? Well, she doesn’t look too bothered seated in the opposite end of the press hall, the American rapper rolling her eyes at every sentence from her Canadian counterpart.

"Honey, let's face it - you're old and irrelevant. Both inside and outside the boxing ring,” she says with a smirk, which draws a scowl from Lavigne. “I've been watching your series against Emma with my friends and it's been hella entertaining. Two weaklings going at it for the wimp queen crown. Gotta love it. If little scrawny Emma Roberts can f*ck you up this bad TWICE on the same month, just wait till you feel what I can do with THESE guns,” Ice pauses to flex her biceps, her jaw working to chew chum but also doing little to hide that growing smirk. “It might be my first FCBA fight but imma ‘bout to rock your f*cking world b*tch."

Later, the staredown is incredibly tense, with Ice Spice’s slightly taller and bigger figure trying to intimidate the smaller singer even further, rearing her shoulders and chin upwards and getting straight in Avril’s face, hoping to win the psychological battle to start. But Lavigne remains calm for once, just muttering a string of “Try it...” and “wait and see…” and “b*tch, bring it…” to keep Spice back (or perhaps goad her forwards). Thankfully, the referee intervenes and does his job (for once), and both fighters are separated to their corners.

Few hours later and we’re ready to rock and roll with two illustrious singers set to do battle in the boxing ring proper! In one corner, Lavigne is dressed in her trademark black and pink sports bra and short tights, raising her black gloves to acknowledge the crowd, her blonde hair double-braided. She’s been through some ups and downs recently, but she’s hoping to add another win to her record tonight. Meanwhile, in the opposite corner, Miss Spice wants to make a bold statement tonight , dressed in a set of silver sports bra and orange shorts, complete with orange gloves - if the American manages to KO the Dollhouse’ top Flyweight prospect, she’d no doubt make a grand entrance onto the FCBA stage!

The referee calls for the opening bell and HERE WE go with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Avril knows she needs to stay the f*ck away from the much stronger Ice Spice, who keeps flexing those big arms as though that’s part of her makeup routine. In fact, Spice is so confident in her own power and ability to KO the “Canadian grandma” that she CHARGES straight forward at the opening bell, laying down heavy artillery to the arms to try and score a knockdown in the very first minute! But Lavigne’s been there, done that, beaten bitches like this before, however, and employs tart counter-punching tactics to skirt her way out of danger before whacking swift, short, snappy jabs back into the American’s face. There’s a reason she’s the ex-Flyweight champ, folks, and she knows how to use speed to remain elusive throughout, with her plan to eventually tire Ice out before upping her own offense. Miss Ice is taking loads of punishment regardless, especially when her nose keeps getting bashed in by another swift poke, another right cross which snaps her head back, the rest of her bulky body shuddering in tow. But she does manage to sneak in a couple of heavy-handed biffs to Avril’s body -- hey, when you’re throwing a hundred wild punches, one or two are bound to get through. Firm control from the Doll, however, when the bell for the first round rings.

ROUND 2:
Ice Spice is known for her more aggressive displays on stage, and she doesn’t disappoint here in the ring either, which might be the grandest stage of them all. She harasses and harangues the older girl, keeps storming into her space and still trying to knock her the f*ck off her feet. Lavigne is defending herself diligently enough, but those arms can only block a certain amount of surface area all at once, and more than enough times Miss Spice bangs a heavy hook off one side of the guard before stuffing another follow-upright to the other, folding the poor Doll over and expelling a breath of heated air from her lips. Some wonder how or why Miss Lavigne would subject herself to such torture, repeatedly, but that swelling pride has always risen to the occasion, and she employs more footwork and head movement in the final seconds to avoid another torrent of wild swings, before knocking a couple of straight jabs into her face for SOME payback. Not going to be enough, at least for now, but at least she doesn’t allow the newcomer to get away with it raw.

ROUND 3:
Ice Spice however doesn’t seem to be displaying any signs of tiring -- that’s the beauty of having youth, we guess, with the American breathing with a huff before marching right out of her corner, ready to continue the brawl! Perhaps she knows that Avril simply cannot keep running from her forever, and all she needs to do is give chase and keep up the pressure. First two minutes, it works, with her lunging hooks and uppercuts sent straight down the middle force the older Avril back, her back dangerously coming into contact with the ropes before the Doll has the good sense to skirt back out of the way or risk getting mauled by the bigger lioness. Lavigne’s still shooting counter-jabs all the way, of course, and actually makes up for the deficit score by the time the bell rings, her return fire more precise and targeted, and the end result is Ice Spice’s cheeks slowly turning a bright shade of pink from the repeated cratering of leather into her face. Close round, but tell that to Lavigne, who despite her victory, is still breathing hard and wondering what the hell she’s gotten herself into this time, complaining to coach Loken about “literally fighting a lightweight”.

ROUND 4:
Good, fast-paced action in the center, throughout, as singers constantly clash for dominance. Avril’s getting a little more aggressive, to her own detriment, thinking the younger girl is more than ready to go down, but then meeting a wild torrent of blows in her face, with Ice Spice merely roaring back with more hooks flying this way and that, bashing away at her arms and body. Lavigne takes a torquing shot across, which is hastily thrown up, but then takes a couple more tummy shots to send her stumbling backwards. But her gloves are also flashing forward, with both malice and hunger, eager to punish the rookie back. Her fists keep hitting the mark of Spice’s nose and lips, turning flesh inwards and snapping into hard bone of her skull. Ice Spice is someone who can certainly TAKE and DISH it out, but then again, that’s what they say about all rookies who are new to the ring… until they inevitably fall. Avril’s banking on the fact that Spice won’t have the drive to go all the way, and soon enough, those hopes are well-founded, with Spice soon falling back and covering her face up from the accumulated abuse, a small smattering of tears now starting to well in her eyes and a drop of red flowing down one of her nostrils. It’s a good and even draw for both competitors, with the rest of this fight still wide open.

ROUND 5:
Last burst from Ice Spice and Avril sees it coming, though she’s still powerless to stop it! Perhaps the former singer expected her win to come much sooner, against someone a good decade her senior. But Avril’s experience in the ring cannot be discounted, and she wonders when these newbies will learn their erroneous ways, especially from the wake of KO’ed bodies who have tried and tried before, but failed. For the most part, Lavigne is able to side-step and rear out of the way of danger, each big swing from Spice tiring her foe out more and more, and making it more difficult for her to wind back and longer to let fly her next punch. But in the last minute, Avril makes a fatal error, swerving to the left when she should have gone right -- KAPOW! BIG RIGHT HAND sends the Doll’s head in a tailspin, her mouth hanging open and her eyes even wider, as she stumbles to the side and clings onto the ropes to keep herself upright! HERE SPICE COMES, roaring inwards and making up for lost time, chugging shots into the blonde’s body before trying to finish her off with more shots to either side of the head! But the bell rings soon after, and Lavigne definitely took a BIG maulin’ towards the end, but survives!

ROUND 6:
BIG round for Ice Spice in the last round, and bigger scare for the Dollhouse star, who looks hella shaken by that feint-hook combo that almost took her off her feet. But all that bluster sees Ice Spice heaving hard as well, her eyes wide from the continued effort, but also filled with semi-wonder at how a near-40 year old grandma like Lavigne could make it past the fifth round without heaving ho. Avril was shocked last round but looks way more calm and focused this time, heading inwards and pestering Spice to her face and head, scoring off the same spots that she’s been targeting in the previous rounds. Ice Spice slowly grows with panic, throwing up her hands in a makeshift defense but her guard is looking as wild as her offense is: all over the place, lacking in power, and hella risky against a targeted and experienced fighter like Lavigne. Shots keep landing and Ice Spice doesn’t seem to have any counter except the odd return swing that barely grazes the air in front of Avril’s headspace. Finally, a series of straight punches shoot through the failing American’s arms, making contact and snapping her head back with a louder series of groans. And once she’s been forced back into the ropes, one of her arms begins to hang limply on the top rope, the other simply HOVERING over her chest, as Avril happily ROCKS cross after straight hand into that bloodying nose, sending flecks of red flying… AND THAT’S IT! Referee STEPS IN to save Spice from her own demise! It’s OVER via TKO, much to the rookie’s look of shock, both from the accumulated punches landed, but also the fact that she definitely feels she wasn’t done with the fightin’, she’s still standing after all!!

Official Result: Avril Lavigne defeats Ice Spice via TKO6!

AFTER:
Sigh of relief from the Dollhouse corner as Lavigne takes the win over the dangerous debutant, who despite her 5’3 height certainly seems like a bonafide bantamweight, if not a full on lightweight.

Ice Spice looking upset at the bell, still arguing with the referee but is clearly woozy from the punishment inflicted to her head by Lavigne, slurring her words and bleeding from her nose as the panting victorious Doll leans against the ropes behind to referee, catching her breath, gloating and taunting the younger girl for losing from a safe distance.

Or so she thought? BAD IDEA! Spice is clearly not in the mood, pushing the ref away with a sudden burst of power as she barrels towards an unprepared Avril and TAKES A BIG SWING!

Lavigne with only a split second to realize what is happening as her eyes widen in horror before Spice’s red glove gets BURIED into her cheek! BAM! The blonde’s shocked face is snapped sideways as the power of the punch sends her REELING, swaying on shaky legs with a blank stare before CRASHING to the mat on her ass near the ropes. Avril is DOWN and an angry Ice Spice is giving chase!

With the approaching Spice towering over her, the terrified looking Canadian decides to bolt, quickly turning tail and crawling underneath the bottom rope to safety, where she’s quickly helped by her security team and immediately escorted out of the arena to a mixture of cheers and boos. “Crazy b*tch!” Avril manages to shout back at the young singer after clearing her head somewhat.

Spice, now having the ring all to herself, remains in there for a few more minutes, taking in the cheers of her many fans who came to witness her debut tonight, celebrating her first boxing fight in the FCBA with an....impressive loss, you could say. She may not have won tonight, but she IS the last woman standing in the ring, and that has to mean something, right?

Fighting in Bantam might be Ice Spice’s natural place going forward, but tonight, she was able to give a former Flyweight champ with more than 100 fights under her belt a run for her money on her debut thanks to her toughness and raw power, with a big 5th round that almost led to a huge upset, and a controversial TKO decision loss to boot (if you ask Spice and her fans, that is).

As she makes her way out of the arena, Spice is met with loud cheers for putting up a great debut fight tonight! We and the fans certainly look forward to seeing the 24 year old singer fight again and are eager to see where her FCBA career goes from here! Good luck!
