KENDALL JENNER VS SHAY MITCHELL

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Kendall: 28 YO, 5’10 ½ (1.79 m), 91-34-0, 91 KO since 2016, Girls Friday

Shay: 37 YO, 5’7 ½ (1.71 m), 40-38-0, 38 KO since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers Inc.

Before: “I have to admit Kendall’s going to be challenge,” acknowledges Shay Mitchell in the pre-fight presser. “I am giving up three inches and she’s younger than me. I am, at best, a small lightweight and she’s a tall one. But you know what? I am excited at the opportunity to see if I can cut her down to size. It would be so great if I could. Talk about an upset! The idea has me all charged up.”

Kendall Jenner regards this all coolly: “Maybe Shay’s seen too many boing movies or something. The reality is that I’m not about to let her beat me. That would be unacceptable. Frankly 2024 hasn’t been an easy year for me. I’m 0-3 and that is even more unacceptable. I am here to win this and start getting back to winning.”

“So you have a lot to lose in this fight,” Shay commented. “I’ll bet that gives you butterflies in your tummy at the prospect of losing to little me and then going 0-4. That’s a heartwarnming thought to me.”

Kendall scowled: “If you think that’s funny you won’t after I get done with you.”

“Keep talking like that I people will realize you’re really worried about me,” Shay jeered.

“Keep your mind games, Mitchell, I’m winning this fight and that’s all there is to it,” Kendall snapped.

“I’ve got you rattled, Jenner, I see that. I’m halfway to victory now,” Shay said with assurance.

Kendall’s jaw tightened and her face flushed: “That is as far as you’ll get. That is a promise!”

That with that declaration, Kendall stormed from the stage as Shay Mitchell watched her go with obvious glee. “See you then, Kendall, sweetie!” She called out. Kendall’s reply was not audible the fans couldn’t be happier. Nothing like the prospect of a grudge match to make a bout extra interesting.

In the ring on Fight Night, Kendall, in a black bikini with red gloves and boots (black laces), her hair in a simple ponytail was doing her best to crowd in on the small Shay. For her part, Shay was standing her ground and giving Kendall a defiant glare. Shay was wearing white high waist bikini leopard print pattern with white gloves and boots (black laces), her hair in a French braid.

The referee insisted Kendall step back and then proceeded with the ring instructions. Once these were out of the way there a sullen wipe of the gloves and the fighters wen to their corners. The bell rang….

R1: Shay Mitchell sped across the ring, evaded Kendall Jenner’s long range shots and then went hammering into Kendall’s breasts and ribs. the Kendall was thrown back, but swung down at Shay’s head to try to break up her attack. Shay hung in stubbornly and managed to smack Kendall hard to the chin. This stunned Kendall, but the taller brunette seemed to shake it off and then began striking back Shay to the body. Shay and Kendall battle to the bell. The round was close with Shay edging out a win on points.

R2: This round, Kendall Jenner made sure she was the first one to clear her corner and she went hard at Shay Mitchell to the head. Solid right and left hands connected with Shay’ jaw and then uppercuts clipped her chin. Shay fell back, trying to use a burst of jabs to cover her retreat, but Kendall was now going after her to the body. Shay kept trying to scramble out of range, but Kendall was able to keep the punches flowing into Shay to the bell. The round went wide to Kendall Jenner.

R3: Kendall went right at Shay again, but this time Shay was ready and she had to fight her way through a leather storm. Still, Kendall kept coming, despite strong blow to the head and then lashed out at Shay to the body. Shay hung in against Kendall blows, trading punches to the breasts, ribs and abs. It was hard, grinding action and Shay was finally driven back bruised and swollen in the face and body, but Kendall was showing lumps and bruises as well. However, when the judges did the tallying, it was Kendall who had scored a narrow win.

R4: Now Shay Mitchell went on a fierce counterattack. She made a leaping lunge when she first drew near Kendall Jenner and sent her spinning with a monster right to the jaw. Kendall was staggering as Shay now tried to punch her right side so as to drive Kendall into the ropes. Kendall was slammed sideways into the strands and tried to fight her way clear, but uppercuts to the chin threw her back and forced her to bury her face in her gloves. This allowed Shay to punch away Kendall’s body until the bell sounded. Kendall Jenner left the ropes with a stunned look on her face and a wobble in her walk. Shay Mitchell had won the round wide.

R5: The next round saw Kendall Jenner strike back vengefully. She went after Shay Mitchell with big, digging hooks to the belly. Shay was jackknifed forward and then Kendall began smashing punches against Shay’s overhanging face and breasts. Shay lurched backwards, lifting her face to reveal it was now badly swollen and bleeding. Still, Shay was able to fight back with her jab, but Kendall was swabbing away at her from body to head and face. Kendall looked to be trying to push Shay into the ropes at the bell, but had not been able to accomplish this. However Shay was left a slow moving wreck as she trudged to her corner. Kendall had won th round wide.

R6: The PLP corner crew worked desperately to repair the damage done to Shay in the previous round, but she left her stool with disheartening slowness at the bell. A predatory looking Kendall Jenner moved in on Shay and cautiously tested her to make sure this was no trick. Shay tried to respond ]m but her counters were sluggish and poorly aimed. This seemed to convince Kendall now was the time to end this. She first went to the belly with a fast series of hooks to tip Shay forward and bring her guard down. Then Kendall eave in rights and lefts to the face, jaw and chin. Shay shuddered at these blows, then tries to step forward BUT CRASHED ONTO HER FACE! Shay Mitchell lay at Kendall Jenner’s boot tips for a moment, then she went to th neutral corner. Kendall watched as a devastated Shay tried to push herself up, looking forlornly up at the referee with a badly swollen face dripping blood and sweat. She tried to go further, but the strength seemed gone from her arms. She was stretched out, cheek against the canvas as the official above her way calling out:

“NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!”

THE WINNER KENDALL JENNER DEFEATED SHAY MITCHELL KO6!

After: “I think I made my point about Shay Mitchell,” sniffs Kendall after the fight, “She knows now what a bad idea it is to talk trash to me!”

Shay has been helped from the ring has no direct comment on the fight, but PLP Communications Director Autumn Reeser says: “Shay just wants to put this fight behind her. Kendall was just too much lightweight for her.”

Too much lightweight for Shay Mitchell is probably the best summary of this fight. Shay certainly tried hard and that 4th Round was her best, but it ended up being nowhere near enough. So Kendall Jenner snapped her losing streak and Shay Mitchell may well think twice about taking on a bigger lightweight. Hopefully Kendall will continue her winning bounce from this fight while Shay seeks to move on to better (winning) fights.
