A MUSICAL NIGHT AT THE ASYLUM VI: JASON LIVES!

BEFORE:

"Look," says Hilary with a gorgeous smile, "I don't have to prove a THING tonight. I proved it last year in this same ring. I'm better than Mudd. And, tonight, I get to take her title."

"Yeah," says Sophie shaking her head. "Last year, I spit the bit. But, I didn't let it take me off the rails. I got back to work and I won gold. But, don't think I haven't been thinking about Hilary Duff for a full year. Because, I have. And, tonight, I'm going to make her pay."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: " Back at ringside and that's 'Wake Up' you're hearing, and here comes the singer of that tune, the lovely Hilary Duff!"

McCarthy: "And, Weirdo must be slipping, because Duff actually WON the last time she was here..."

O'Dell: "She did, and she's clearly planning to reprise that as she heads determinedly to the ring and climbs in to be helped off with the robe. Crowd showing appreciation for the blonde singer in that fuchsia number she's wearing. And, that's 'Hotter Than Hell' by Dua Lipa you hear behind us, but it's not Dua headed to the ring, it's the JMD Champion, 'Sultry' Sophie Mudd!"

Tess: "And, talk about determined. The look on Mudd's face will tell you all you need to know..."

Cassie: "Sophie responded very well to that loss last May, but, as you could hear in the prefight, it's been bothering her..."

O'Dell: "Mudd into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. Crowd giving it up for the brunette in that Egyptian blue number she likes. And, we're about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Sophie. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Duff did it once. She'll do it again."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Here we go, and here comes Hilary, taking the fight right to the champion! Blonde all OVER the brunette early, banging away with both hands, backing Mudd up, hooking body, thumping away to the head. No feeling out process here..."

McCarthy: "This is what's called CONFIDENCE and that comes from WINNING..."

O'Dell: "No doubt Duff has plenty of that at the moment. Meanwhile, Sophie giving ground, taking some punishment. She's got the guard high and she's scoring in counter at times, but it's the blonde who's dominating things right now."

Tess: "Got to say, I'm surprised this is happening..."

O'Dell: "And, I'm betting you're not the only one. Under twenty to go in the first, and it's been Hilary in control the whole way. GOOD right from Duff backs Mudd up a step and there's the bell. First in the books and it's Duff wide."

Cassie: "And, HIlary takes the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with Duff coming forward and Mudd giving some ground. She's got the reach here, and now she wants to use it. Not going to brawl with the blonde, who seems intent on doing that. Hilary working forward, hooking body..."

McCarthy: "They'd better watch this Mudd shoving off. She's DIRTY. Campbell trains her!"

O'Dell: "Mudd showing some nice movement. We've seen that before from the brunette. She's popping out the jab, following on with rights, getting the better of things at range. But, Duff still having success getting inside..."

Cassie: "And, when she does, she's scoring well."

O'Dell: "Down the stretch we come in the second, and it's been close throughout. Both fighters having their moments and no one able to take command. Sharp exchange there and that's the bell. Very close, but the champ's on the board."

Tess: "Even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third underway and the battle for space and terms continues. Both fighters working to get where they want to be. For the brunette, that's at range, where she can use the reach and extend on her punches..."

McCarthy: "And, for Duff, that's right in Mudd's grill."

O'Dell: "And, that's where Hilary is now, digging body before Sophie ties up, shoves off. Duff right back forward. She's hooking some rack in there and Mudd responding in kind. Some real body tenderizing going on before the fighters clinch and the ref breaks them."

Tess: "Sophie's going to have to be willing to work in the booth at times."

O'Dell: "Appears that way. We're down to ten seconds to go in the third and the ladies are digging inside, working body, head, rack. Nobody backing up and there's the bell. Close for the second round in a row, but it's Duff."

Cassie: "And the challenger leads 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Duff working forward, willing to take some shots to get inside where she can bang away to body and work some jug. Brunette giving ground again. She's being tossed over to the defensive while the blonde takes control again..."

McCarthy: "Stay in her grill, Duff!"

O'Dell: "That's what the blonde's doing, and she's plenty effective doing it at the moment. She's banging away in there, forcing the champion to cover up, back up. Mudd scoring in the counter, but she's giving an awful lot of ground."

Cassie: "And, from the look on Neve's face, she's going to HEAR about it."

O'Dell: "Final seconds ticking away in what's been another good round for the challenger. Duff hooking body. Mudd responding in kind. Ladies fall into a clinch. Ref breaks them and there's the bell. Hilary's going to take this one easily."

Tess: "And pull into a 39-37 lead."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth underway and Duff forward and now Mudd is going to stand there and bang back and HERE WE GO! FIREFIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! Both blonde and brunette loading up and banging away, neither willing to take a step back..."

Tess: "After Mudd ABSOLUTELY heard it from Neve Campbell between rounds..."

O'Dell: "BIG shots being traded in there, head, body, rack. Every legal inch being tenderized and MUDD ROCKS DUFF! Hilary caught with a short right hook and she's RUMBLIN', STUMBLIN', FUMBLIN' around the ring!"

McCarthy: "Shake it off, Duff!"

O'Dell: "Blonde in full retreat as the brunette bangs away. She's concentrating upstairs now, forcing her rival to the ropes and NOW there's the HUP-HUP to jug! Ref looking in closely as the last few seconds tick away. GOOD right from Mudd, but there's the bell! Sophie takes the fifth wide."

Cassie: "And cuts Duff's lead to 48-47 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Mudd looking to finish as we start the sixth. Brunette walking the blonde down behind the left, dropping heavy right hands on her, then stepping in and hooking jug. Challenger tying up, hanging on, trying to run some clock here..."

Tess: "She has a LOT of clock to run..."

O'Dell: "Does, indeed. GOOD right hand by Mudd and THAT wobbled Duff. Sophie WORKING jug now. Hilary trying to tie up and the CHAMPION DROPS HER WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Oh, a NASTY short right hook and Duff is down on her right side..."

Cassie (singing): "Turn out the liiiigggghhhhttttsss. The party's ohhhhverrrrrrr..."

O'Dell: "Mudd to a neutral corner. Referee counting down on Hilary. Count at three. Four. Five. No movement from Duff. Six. Seven. Just a formality. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! The count ;passes the blonde by and it's OVER and your winner by KO6 and STILL JMD Champion is 'Sultry' Sophie Mudd!"

McCarthy: "Just got lucky!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Sophie Mudd, and, Sophie, it wasn't easy in there..."

Sophie (nodding): "Never was going to be. She's physical. But, I'm physical, too. She caught me last time, but it wasn't going to happen again."

Tess (smiling): "I'd ask what's next for you, but I know..."

Sophie (smiling): "I'll definitely be defending the title again soon, Tess. Definitely."
