Intro:
Next up we see a Nordic clash as Denmark's Josephine Skriver takes on Holland's Maroles Horst. Josephine is hoping to continue her recent form as she hasn't lost in three bouts. Maroles on the other hand is struggling to get wins on the board. Recently losing in the first round of the Golden Ticket tournament in the FCBA to start this month off. Can we see an upset here or will Josephine continue her march back towards a title shot?

Before the bout Maroles posted on her social media "I can't wait to get back to the BBU and take on Josephine Skriver. I need a win and she might see herself as the queen of Nordic boxing. She is going to learn where she really places in the pecking order."

Josephine meanwhile responds with "Maroles I agreed to fight you because I need time in the ring. You talk big but you will be laying down on the canvas once again. Twice in a month might be a record for you lol." Showing no hint of worry about her foe. Maybe taking her too lightly?

Fight Night! Josephine is out first with her coach Taryn Terrell. Josephine is smiling as she walks towards the ring. She is wearing a maroon coloured sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, her hair tied into a ponytail as she steps into the ring. Josephine hugs Taryn before she bounces on her toes waiting for her opponent.

Maroles doesn't make her wait too long as she walks towards the ring. She leads her coach out as she is wearing a navy blue sports bra with orange strips down the sides, matching trunks, navy blue shoes and gloves, hair in a ponytail too. She climbs into the ring and taps her gloves together as she stares across the ring at her Josephine.

The fighters walk to the middle of the ring to listen to the referees instructions. A tense look on both women's faces as they don't care for one another. Hard touch of gloves with a crack of leather ringing out. They jog back to their corners ready to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Both women step out their corners testing each others defences out. Maroles stepping inside with a few body shots before being nudged back to range. Josephine landing a jab/straight combo into the forehead of the Dutch fighter to hold her off. The early action evenly fought as they around the center of the ring.

Maroles lands a straight into the lips of Josephine, she steps in close straight afterwards. Maroles landing a few body shots to drive the former champion into the ropes. Josephine nudges her off to land a few short hooks around her cheeks. Maroles keeps the heat on Josephine as she keeps targeting the body of the taller woman.

Late in the round Josephine drives a jab square into the face of Maroles to knock her back a step. Josephine starting to get her rhthym going as Maroles is made to move around the outside part of the ring. The round ends with Maroles stepping back to her corner with her coach happy enough with how things are going.

Round 2:
Josephine is doubling up her jab more to start as she is looking to keep Maroles at range. Both stinging the others cheeks, with a few body shots traded as neither is hiding from the other. Maroles gets in close with a left/right hook combo to the ribs of Josephine. Forcing more action on the inside.

Pushing off Horst; Skriver lands a few more jab/straight combos as she gets onto her toes. A left hook lands onto the chin Maroles to make her think as she backs off. Josephine turning the screw with more straight punches to her face. Maroles forced around the perimeter of the ring as Josephine holds the center.

Less then forty five seconds to go. Maroles manages to deflect a straight to land one of her own. She drives back the Danish fighter into a neutral corner. Slaps of leather on flesh ring out as Horst swings in hooks. The round comes to an end with both staring each other down before walking to their corners.

Round 3:
Again both start off closely matched with straight punches. Josephine landing a nice jab/right cross combo to push Maroles onto her heels. Josephine pushing back her foe towards her own corner. Maroles pushes off Josephine before landing an overhand left to the cheek of the taller woman to twist her head around.

Back comes Maroles now as she drives back Josephine towards the ropes. Head down as these two gorgeous women are looking to bully their rival. Josephine needing to nudge off Maroles but finding her opponent is keeping in close to work her body over.

Late in the round Josephine nudges off Maroles. Both women letting their hands go as they slug it out. Maroles dips under a left hook to drill in a right to the breadbasket of Josephine. Overhand left follows to send a little sweat flying from the head of Skriver. At the bell they walk back to their corners with Josephine looking annoyed that she can't keep Maroles under control as she'd hope.

Round 4:
Pushing off their stools to resume. Maroles is pushing the early pace. Josephine having to try to hold her opponent off as they trade. Maroles lands an overhand right to the chin of Josephine to make the former champion cover up.

Working back Josephine near the ropes. Maroles is pushing her to the ropes with her head down and working the body of Skriver. Holding onto Maroles to slow her down, Josephine is gritting her mouthpiece to not swear. The referee pushes them apart with Maroles keen to keep going at Josephine.

As Maroles is trying to keep the heat on her opponent. Josephine is catching her with clean straight shots as she boxes more on the move. Both land a few hooks when they do edge closer together. Josephine though looks happier how things have ended in the round after being bullied around the ring. Sitting on their stools after the bell dings. Maroles is up in both corners minds judging by the discussions.

Round 5:
Josephine meets Maroles on more evenly fought exchanges to start off the round. Both slinging in short hooks in close. Maroles looks to land an uppercut but she eats a short left hook on her ear to cause her to be knocked off balance. Josephine lands a follow up jab/right hook combination to drive back Horst towards the ropes.

Maroles manages to push off Josephine. Still she is fighting on the defensive as Josephine seems to have found her moment in this fight, she isn't letting it go so easily as she strikes through the mitts of Maroles. The face of the Dutch model taking the brunt of the blows coming her way. A trickle of blood runs from a cut on her nose.

Showing her fighting spirit. Maroles digs in near the ropes and swings back. The better shots coming from Skriver. But there are a few punches that land flush around her jaw to make Josephine think about things. The round comes to a close with Josephine fighting back a smile as it was easily her best round of the fight so far. Maroles gets her cut worked on as she grimaces when it is touched.

Round 6:
Momentum has definitely swung around as Maroles is being pegged on her nose by straight shots. She is landing a few solid blows to the abs of Josephine but she isn't able to really close the distance on her foe.

Leading into the second minute; where Josephine lands a straight flush into the nose of Maroles to make her cry out with tears in her eyes. A FOLLOW UP LEFT HOOK AROUND THE TEMPLE MAKES MAROLES STUMBLE TWO STEPS TO HER LEFT! JOSEPHINE QUICKLY IN WITH A RIGHT HOOK ON HER FACE TO SEND HORST ONTO HER BACK!

Josephine nods over to Taryn as she walks over to the neutral corner, the smile she wants to show is getting harder to fight off. 1....2....3....4... Especially as Maroles is groaning laying spread eagle on her back. 5....6.....7.... Maroles isn't moving as her coach just shakes their head. 8....9...10 the referee quickens the count at the end as they see Maroles isn't getting up any time soon!

Winner Josephine Skriver KO Round 6

After:
Josephine getting the win as she walks back to her corner to get a hug from Taryn. Both women smiling as Josephine has kept her winning run going since losing her title. Though it wasn't easy as Maroles was giving her trouble.

The beaten fighter needing to be helped up after smelling salt bring her to reality. Her nose is cleaned up as Maroles asks "how the f**k did I lose?" Her coach nods as they clearly don't want to further upset her. Instead she is helped out the ring to the back to be checked over by the doctor in the medical area. All you can say is this has been a month to forget for Maroles.

While Josephine meanwhile gets washed down and heads to the middle of the ring for the final announcement. A loud cheer from her supporters rings out before her left hand is raised in victory. She nods to the nearest camera with a big beaming smile.

Out the ring goes Josephine sharing selfies with some people in the front row of the crowd. Taryn smiles as she watches her fighter with her fans. Not long later though Josephine has to begin her walk to the back as asked by the organisers.

She will probably need to wait for a shot at the BBU welterweight title as Romee Strijd eyes up her potential challengers. Some are wondering what the relationship right now is like between Josephine and her stablemate Joan Smalls. Joan was happy to take a backseat to help Josephine win her title. Josephine though doesn't seem keen to sit back for Joan to look to regain her title. At the moment things look ok between them but pundits are wondering how long that lasts.
