California Dreamin’ - Night 2: Nell Tiger Free vs Gabi Fuller

(Results: Lookout / Words: Queens)

Nell Tiger Free:
(24, 5’5”, 117lbs, 27:14 FCBA, VIXENs)

Gabi Fuller:
(26, 5’4”, UNKlbs, 5:1 FCBA, Femme Fight Club)

BEFORE:

As the deep dark night set upon the City of Angels and the Queens Complex rooftop lounge, better known as Skye Spire 73, was lit up in LED lights the final fight of the night was about to take place – this time between a VIXENs fighter and a Femme Fight Club fighter. Both were on the stage that surrounded the ring, each waiting to unleash hell on the other. Natalie Dormer, with a poised yet fierce demeanour, stood between them, ready to fire off questions from the press. The atmosphere was electric, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. Spectators clung to the edges of their seats, anticipating the imminent clash. This wasn't just a fight; it was a war on a sky-high battlefield.

"Nell, we're starting with you since, as the VIXENs like to remind the Queens, you all were the first to call Los Angeles 'home.' You lost your first match against Kelli Berglund after confidently going in, what's changed for Gabi?" Natalie asked, her voice slicing through the hushed buzz of the crowd like a razor.

Nell’s eyes burned with a fire that could incinerate cities. "What's changed? Everything’s changed! That last fight was a wake-up call. I was too cocky, too complacent. But let’s get something straight – I’m not the same fighter who stepped into the ring with Berglund. I've been training, pushing my limits, reaching new heights. Gabi’s in for a rude awakening if she thinks she’s facing the old Nell. I’ve got a point to prove, and make no mistake, tonight, I’m out for blood. Let her try. After tonight, she’ll regret ever stepping into the ring with me."

Gabi smirked, her glare sharp enough to pierce steel. She didn't hesitate for a second before firing back. "Wake-up call, huh? Sounds like an excuse for someone who couldn’t cut it the first time. I've heard it all before – 'new training, new strategy' – but you know what? None of that matters when you're flat on your back staring at the lights or the stars in this case. I've seen your so-called 'transformation' and it's nothing but a cosmetic change. I’m here to break you from the inside out! You think you’re out for blood? Good. That makes two of us. By the end of tonight, everyone will know who the top dog is. And trust me, it ain't gonna be you, sweetheart!"

Nell’s nostrils flared as she stepped closer, her voice dripping with venom. "Oh, spare me your clichéd bravado, Gabi. Do you think that scare tactics will work on me? I’ve fought tougher opponents on my worst days. Your cheap words are like whispers in a storm. And cosmetic change? Get real. I’ve been grinding, sweating, and bleeding for this moment. You see these muscles? They're not for show, darling, they're forged in the fires of relentless training. So, keep running your mouth. Tonight, I'll shut it for good and send you home with more than just a loss. You wanted a challenge? Well, congratulations, you just bit off more than you can chew. Let's see if you can spit out those teeth when I'm through with you!"

“Ladies, ladies,” Natalie interjected to regain control, her voice carrying an authoritative edge. “Save the theatrics for the ring! The crowd doesn't need any more hype; they're already at the edge of their seats. Nell, Gabi – tonight’s not about words. It’s about who can back them up. So why don't we let the fists do the talking and see who leaves this rooftop a little more bruised and a lot more humbled?”

Nell shot Gabi one last searing glare before turning her attention back to Natalie, her hands curled into tight fists. "Fine by me. I’m ready to end this."

Gabi didn't break her staring contest with Nell, her smirk never wavering. "Oh, it’s going to end, all right. Just not the way you think."

With that, Natalie nodded to both fighters and gestured towards the center of the ring. The air crackled with anticipation as the crowd erupted into cheers and jeers, eager for the impending showdown. The time for words had passed; now it was all about raw, unfiltered action.

Natalie turned back towards the audience and said, "Fighters, disrobe to your boxing attire and enter the ring." The crowd roared in approval, their excitement reaching a fever pitch. Nell and Gabi, still locked in their intense stare-down, began to remove their outer garments, revealing their toned physiques wrapped in tight, battle-ready attire. The LED lights of Skye Spire 73 reflected off their glistening skin, adding an almost mythical aura to the already electric atmosphere. With everything stripped down to the essentials, the fighters stepped into the ring, their bodies coiled like springs, ready to unleash a storm of fury. This was it – the moment they had been training for, the moment everyone had been waiting for. The clashing titans were about to turn the rooftop into an unforgettable battlefield.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the final fight of the night, VIXENs vs Femme Fight Club – Nell Tiger Free vs Gabi Fuller!" Natalie roared into the microphone, her voice booming across the rooftop and igniting the already frenzied crowd. Right on cue, pyrotechnics erupted all around her, sending plumes of fire and sparks shooting into the night sky. The roar of the flames mixed with the audience's deafening cheers created a cacophony that shook the very foundations of Skye Spire 73. As the pyrotechnic display reached its dazzling climax, Natalie made her exit, gracefully stepping off the stage with a knowing smile. The ring was now theirs – Nell and Gabi's – and the rooftop buzzed with a primal energy. This was it: the showdown that would leave one fighter victorious, the other humbled, and everyone breathless.

Round 01:

The bell rang, and the two fighters exploded from their corners like coiled vipers. Gabi was aggressive from the start, her punches rapid and precise, each one landing with a sickening thud against Nell's guard. Nell tried to counter, but Gabi's speed was blistering, her footwork akin to a dancer's, darting in and out of Nell's reach. A jab, a hook, and then a fierce uppercut – Gabi's onslaught was relentless. The crowd's gasps punctuated the steady rhythm of blows as Gabi landed one devastating punch after another, pushing Nell onto the back foot.

Nell managed to land a couple of solid strikes, but they were mere drops in an ocean of Gabi's ferocity. Gabi's punches carried the power of her grudge – each one aimed to dismantle and humiliate. Her fists were like thunder, shaking Nell's confidence with every hit. Gabi's strategy was clear: dominate the first round and set the tone for the fight. Her accuracy was uncanny and her stamina seemed boundless as she kept up the pressure without faltering.

By the time the bell rang to signal the end of the first round, Nell's face was a canvas of bruises, and she was visibly rattled. The judges scored the round with an undeniable margin in favour of Gabi, her dominance clear in every card. The crowd erupted into a mix of cheers and gasps, the energy palpable as the fighters returned to their corners. Nell's corner scrambled to offer support and strategies, but it was evident: Round one belonged to Gabi Fuller, and she had made a statement with her overwhelming prowess.

Round 02:

As the bell rang for the second round, Nell emerged from her corner with a renewed resolve. Her eyes locked onto Gabi’s with a fiery intensity, determined to turn the tide. Gabi, still riding the high of her earlier domination, sauntered forward, her confidence oozing from every pore.

"What's the matter, Nell?" Gabi taunted between jabs. "Already thinking about quitting?"

Nell dodged a hook and countered with a quick jab to Gabi's ribs. "Quit? In your dreams. You're not getting rid of me that easily," she spat back, her words dripping with defiance.

Gabi smirked, unfazed, but the punch had landed, both physically and mentally. The crowd sensed a shift, their roars increasing in volume with every blow exchanged.

Nell’s strategy was becoming evident; she was focusing on wearing Gabi down, targeting her midsection with a series of punishing body shots. Each thud of her fist against Gabi's torso was accompanied by a taunt. "Feeling that, Gabi? Maybe you should’ve trained harder instead of just running your mouth."

Gabi's grin faltered momentarily as she absorbed the hits and fired back with her own punches. "Big talk for someone who got her face rearranged in the first round."

Nell's reply was a fierce uppercut that sent Gabi's head snapping back. "Keep talking, princess. I’ll make sure the only thing you eat tonight is dust."

The crowd was on fire, the air vibrating with their exhilaration as the two fighters exchanged vicious blows. This was no longer just a boxing match; it was a battle of wills, each insult thrown as effectively as a jab.

Gabi retaliated with a brutal right hook, aiming for Nell's jaw. "One lucky shot doesn’t change anything. You're still going down."

Dodging deftly, Nell shot back, "You'd know all about lucky shots, wouldn’t you? Got lucky making it to this round in one piece."

The round continued with neither fighter giving an inch. Nell’s precise strikes and relentless pressure were beginning to take a toll on Gabi, who was visibly slowing down. Nell's footwork was almost poetic, her movements fluid as she danced around Gabi, landing calculated punches.

As the bell rang to end the second round, it was clear to everyone watching that Nell had clawed her way back. She glared at Gabi one last time before retreating to her corner. "That was just a taste of what's coming next," she warned.

Gabi, struggling to catch her breath, managed a defiant retort. "You’re going to regret that, Nell. I promise you."

The judges scored the round narrowly in favor of Nell, her comeback capturing their attention and the crowd's adoration. The energy in Skye Spire 73 was electric, the rivalry between Nell and Gabi fueling the anticipation for what lay ahead.

Round 03:

The bell for round three blared like a war horn, and Gabi Fuller lunged forward, her punches flying with surgical precision. She was a beast unleashed, redoubling her efforts with the ferocity of a cornered wildcat.

"Guess Round Two was your little fairy tale. Too bad it ends here, princess," Gabi snarled as she delivered a sharp uppercut that jolted Nell’s head back.

Nell shook off the hit, her eyes blazing with defiance. "Keep dreaming, Gabi. Fairy tales end with a happily ever after. Yours ends with you flat on the mat!"

But Gabi wasn't just fighting with her fists; she was carving her words like daggers, aiming to inflict as much psychological damage as physical. "Oh, look at you, talking big again. Too bad your punches don't pack the same punch as your trash talk," she mocked, landing a vicious cross that rocked Nell's guard.

Nell rallied, dodging and weaving, but Gabi’s assault was relentless. "Ironic, coming from the girl whose punches feel like a tickle," she spat, firing off a counter-hook. Despite her words, Nell's defences were buckling under the pressure.

Gabi smirked, sensing blood in the water. "Admit it, you're out of your depth. Might as well wave that white flag now," she jeered, landing a body shot that made Nell gasp.

Nell gasped for air, the pain radiating from her ribs. "In your dreams, Fuller. You'll never see me quit. Not today, not ever!" she shot back, attempting to step into Gabi with a jab that barely grazed its mark.

But Gabi was unrelenting, her onslaught like a storm battering against a lone ship. "You can't even hit the broad side of a barn, Nell. This is embarrassing," Gabi laughed, her fists a blur as she pounded Nell with precision strikes. Each punch felt like a hammer blow, and Nell struggled to stay on her feet, her vision blurring.

By the time the bell rang to end the round, Nell was swaying, her body a tapestry of bruises and knots. Gabi stood over her, sneering. "Face it, Nell. You’re just a punching bag pretending to be a fighter."

The judges’ scores left no doubt: Gabi Fuller had dominated the round wide on points. The crowd’s roar was deafening, celebrating Gabi’s brutal resurgence. As both fighters retreated to their corners, the tension was palpable, the showdown far from over.

Round 04:

The bell for round four sounded, and Nell Tiger Free burst forward with the energy of a fighter reclaiming her ground. Her eyes locked onto Gabi Fuller, sending a clear message: this round was hers.

Gabi, confident from her previous success, launched a swift jab. “Back for more, huh? Glutton for punishment, aren’t we?”

Nell smirked, ducking the jab and countering with a clean shot to Gabi’s ribs. “Punishment? You wouldn’t know punishment if it bit you. Get ready for a lesson.”

The blow staggered Gabi, but she quickly recovered, retaliating with a fierce left hook aimed at Nell’s jaw. “Big talk coming from someone who barely survived the last round.”

Nell weaved out of the way, her movements becoming more fluid and precise. She slipped inside Gabi’s range and fired a rapid series of body shots. “Yeah, I survived. And now, it’s your turn to feel the heat,” she taunted, her punches landing with a satisfying thud.

Gabi grunted with each strike, her face betraying a flicker of frustration. “You’re starting to annoy me,” she growled, aiming for Nell’s midsection with a brutal cross.

Nell absorbed the hit but stayed focused, dancing around Gabi with renewed confidence. “Good. That means I’m doing something right,” she quipped, launching an uppercut that snapped Gabi’s head back.

The crowd roared in approval, sensing the shift in momentum. Nell was relentless, pressing her advantage with a mix of speed and power. “Thought you said this was embarrassing? Look in the mirror, Gabi,” Nell taunted, her fists a blur as she connected with a series of jabs and hooks.

Gabi’s retort was less confident now, her voice tinged with frustration. “Lucky shots, all of them. You’ll slip up, and I’ll be there,” she spat, trying to shake off Nell’s assault. But Nell was relentless, cutting off every escape route and landing precision strikes that kept Gabi on the defensive.

“You keep telling yourself that,” Nell sneered, her confidence building with every successful hit. “I’ll keep showing you what real boxing looks like.”

As the round drew to a close, both fighters were visibly exhausted, but it was Nell who had managed to edge out Gabi. Her persistent attacks and sharp counters had chipped away at Gabi’s defenses, earning her the judges’ favor.

When the bell rang, signaling the end of the round, Nell raised her gloves in a triumphant display. She glanced at Gabi, who was struggling to catch her breath, and couldn't resist one last taunt. “That’s just a taste, Gabi. The night’s still young,” she warned, a fierce glint in her eyes.

The judges scored the round narrowly in favor of Nell, her gritty determination and tactical prowess winning them over. The atmosphere was electric, the crowd on their feet, eager to see how this epic clash would unfold.

Round 05:

The bell for round five echoed through the arena, and Gabi Fuller launched forward like a predator closing in on its prey. Gone was any semblance of restraint; she was a whirlwind of brute force and calculated precision. "Ready for a beatdown, Nell?" she roared, her fists flying.

Nell raised her guard, but Gabi's first blow crashed through like a wrecking ball, sending her stumbling backward. "That's the spirit," Gabi sneered, capitalizing on her advantage with a rapid barrage of hooks and crosses.

"Too slow!" Nell barked back, trying to counter with a straight right. But Gabi was already moving, her reflexes razor-sharp as she dodged and retaliated with a crushing left to Nell's ribcage. The impact was bone-jarring, and Nell winced, struggling to maintain her footing.

Gabi saw the opening and pounced. "Giving up already? Pathetic," she jeered, firing off a series of body shots that had Nell gasping for air. The crowd was on its feet, the atmosphere electric with anticipation as Gabi dominated the ring. Every punch was a statement, solidifying her superiority.

Nell tried to muster a defense, but Gabi's onslaught was unstoppable. "You thought you could win this? Keep dreaming," Gabi laughed, delivering a snapping uppercut that rocked Nell's head back.

Desperation flickered in Nell's eyes as she attempted to launch a counterattack. She swung wide with a hook, but Gabi effortlessly ducked beneath it and responded with a brutal overhand right. Nell's world blurred; her attempts to regroup were futile against Gabi's relentless aggression.

"Stay down," Gabi snarled, hammering Nell with a final combination that left her staggering. The bell rang, mercifully ending the round, but the damage was done.

The judges' scores were definitive: Gabi Fuller had won the round wide on points, her sheer dominance impossible to overlook. As they returned to their corners, the message was clear: Gabi was not going to go down without a fight, and she had just made that point emphatically.

Round 06:

The bell for round six rang, and the fighters met in the center of the ring with fire in their eyes. Gabi Fuller, bruised but unbowed, kept her guard high, determined to prove her dominance once again. Nell Tiger Free, however, was not intimidated. She advanced with the ferocity of a tigress, her eyes locked on Gabi’s.

“Still standing, huh?” Gabi spat, throwing a quick jab. “You’re dumber than you look.”

“Oh, I’m standing alright,” Nell shot back, slipping the punch and landing a wicked uppercut to Gabi’s jaw. “And you’re about to be flat on your back.”

The blow jolted Gabi, but she maintained her balance, countering with a cross to Nell’s temple. “You wish! I’m not going down that easy!”

Nell smirked and resumed her assault, her fists a blur as she delivered a series of rapid hooks and jabs. Her training and precision were evident, each punch meticulously aimed to dismantle Gabi’s defenses. In the second minute, Nell saw her opening—a perfect left hook that crashed into Gabi’s temple.

Gabi’s legs buckled, and she stumbled back, hitting the canvas hard. The referee began the count as the crowd held its breath. “One! Two! Three!”

“You’re done, Gabi. Stay down unless you want more of the same,” Nell taunted from her corner.

“Four! Five! Six!” Gabi started to stir, shaking her head as she struggled to her feet. “Seven! Eight!” She stood, albeit shakily, nodding to the referee.

“Big mistake,” Nell sneered, her grin anything but friendly. “You just signed up for more pain.” She advanced relentlessly, cornering Gabi against the ropes.

Gabi tried to retaliate with a desperate flurry of punches, but Nell’s defense was impenetrable. “Is that all you’ve got? Pathetic,” Nell mocked before unleashing a devastating barrage of hooks and uppercuts.

Each hit from Nell rocked Gabi, her guard weakening with every blow. “Time to go night-night, Gabi,” Nell growled, delivering a bone-crushing right hook that left Gabi reeling.

The referee hovered, watching closely as Nell’s assault intensified. “Come on, Gabi! Show some fight!” Gabi desperately tried to clinch to stop the onslaught, but Nell shrugged her off, landing another series of brutal punches to the head and body.

Gabi’s vision blurred, but she managed a weak retort. “You…you’re gonna tire…”

But Nell wasn’t slowing down. “Goodnight!” she yelled, landing a final, vicious uppercut that snapped Gabi’s head back and left her slumping against the ropes, defenseless.

The referee had seen enough, swooping in to stop the fight. He pulled Nell away as the crowd erupted into cheers. Gabi, battered and broken, was unable to continue. The match was over; Nell had won via TKO.

Hands raised in triumph, Nell surveyed the roaring crowd. “Told you I’d finish it,” she said, casting one last look at her fallen opponent. The battle had been fierce, but Nell Tiger Free's victory was absolute and undeniable.
