Cierra Ramirez vs Aimee Carrero

Latina Flyweights Tournament

Results: Lookout! Story: Zenpo

Before: Both women need a win tonight and that's a fact. Not only is their chance of progressing in the tournament but in their careers as well.

"We all saw it in the last round. There's no way she's fully recovered after the Mendes Ko. Cierra is the weakest fighter in the group, If there's a time to get a win, that's tonight!" Aimee tells the reporters.

" Hey listen, Mendes got lucky. But that's a different story. I'm focused on Carrero right now, nuthin else to say. " Ramirez is not looking the most confident.

Come fight night, Carrero comes in wearing a tight two piece blue bikini and white boxing gloves with the Dominican flag on them. Cierra opens her robe revealing a snug white bikini with red and white stripes. Black gloves with green accents. Both flyweights ready for a 10 round bout!

Round 1: Carrero instantly going in the attack but is met by the same intensity in Ramirez. All the doubts about her not looking confident are gone early in the round. Carrero throwing punches in bunches but Cierra keeps cutting through the combo with sharp straight rights. Aimee is feeling Cierra's Power and doesn't like it. She starts to back up, letting Cierra take control of the pace. Bam! Another sharp jab whips Aimee on the nose. Nose trickles and it's starting to bother the Dominican fighter. Cierra doing enough for the judges to give her the first round!

Round 2: Aimee's corner urged her to be more aggressive and get inside and she does just that. Cierra isn't used to being the bigger fighter and when Aimee cuts the distance and gets inside, she starts to do damage! She works the body, Cierra grunting and moaning before putting a stop to it with a Big over hand right on the cheek, splashing sweat off of Aimee's head. The crowd "OOOH'S " and get off their seats! Aimee fires back with a jab, slips in again and smashes a left hook to the ribs. Ramirez throws a left of her own but only grazes her forehead. Aimee landing the cleaner punches gives her the second round!

Round 3: Cierra starts to get her grove in round 3. She decodes the pattern and catches Aimee with a Clean check hook just as she was coming in and follows it with and upper cut that just misses! Aimee tries to answer back, get on her toes again but gets rocked by anotger stiff right. She starts to cover up, Ramirez has her in the ropes. She goes body, body, face, body. The ref near just in case he needs to stop it. Carrero smartly clinches to stop the onslaught but that's all she can do as she gets targeted And caught cleanly. Cierra takes the round with a big statement.

Round 4: They trade blows in the center of the ring, crushing each other faces every time they go in to strike. Aimee changes is it up though and surprises Cierra by going low and lands a perfect uppercut to the midsection. Cierra tries to clinch herself but receives a powerful hook to the ear. She wobbles and holds on to Carrero to hold her up. She's Hurt! And bad. But Cierra holds on for dear life. Aimee tries to muscle her way out but Cierra holds on long enough to get her bearings straight. The ref separated them and Cierra pushes Aimee with a jab to keep her distance. Aimee steals the round by rocking Cierra late in the round.

Round 5: They square up at the center of the ring again. Carrero seems to be the faster of the two as they trade blows. Not only faster, but with just a bit more spice to them. Cierra suddenly finds herself walking backwards when PAP! PAP! Aimee hits her with a rapid One-two, the same one Mendes put Ramirez to sleep with. Cierra is ROCKED HARD as she sinks into the ropes and Carrero is on her! Cierra covers up, her corner screaming all sorts of directions but all she knows is that she has to survive! She's on auto pilot mode, weaving in and out, clinches once more saving herself a bit of time. Carrero impatiently tries to end it all, slamming punches away when she suddenly realizes she doesn't have the tank for it. Both women exhausted, throwing labored punches as the round ends. Carrero takes the round, big,almost getting Cierra out of there. Carrero 3 - Cierra 2 on the score cards so far.

Round 6: Cierra has been in deep waters before and Carrero has certainly take her there tonight. They both look completely exhausted, but Cierra looks worst out of the two. We're not sure she's fully recovered from the last round. Carrero playing it smart, jab and weave out, take the points. Wham! Cierra reads her again! Crisp uppercut right down the middle and Carrero face plants onto the canvas! DOWN! Cierra turns to her corner with her hands up. The ref begins the round as Aimee gets to one knee! She grabs the ropes as she take a deep breaths and gets up at 8! Aimee shakes her head, she wants to keep fighting and the ref lets it go. He waived Ramirez forward and she wasted no time. Not he cleanest of punches but One gets through! Then Two! Big Lefts and Rights! THWAP! Perfect left hook and Aimee's eyes roll and her guard drops! The REF STEPS IN, ITS ALL OVER! He cradles Aimee on his arms as she struggles to stay up and waived for the bell!

Cierra Ramirez TKO6!

After: Much needed win for Cierra to get back into the winning column. All she needs to do now is find stability and maintain her winning ways. Her next challenge? Jenna Ortega. No easy at all.

As for Aimee, she took Ortega to round 5, and Ramirez to round 6. She hurt Ramirez at times throughout the fight, BAD! If she cleaned up her technique and defense just a bit, this fight could've been hers for the taking.
