TROIAN BELLISARIO VS ELIZABETH LAIL

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Troian: 38 YO, 5’7 (1.70 m), 44-35-0, 40 KO since 2011 Pretty Little Punchers Inc.

Elizabeth: 32 YO, 5’8 (1.73 m), 1-0-0, 1 KO since 2023, Queens of Absolution

Before: “I will admit I am curious, Troi, why were you so interested in fighting me?” Elizbarth Lail asked at the pre-fight press event. “I mean, I’ve only had one fight. I won it, but still, I have been busy trying to co-manage the Queens.” So why me?”

Troian Bellisario smiled; :Don’t sell yourself short, Elizabeth. I saw your fight with Jennifer Morrison and that a tough debut fight. You knocked Morrison cold and got your first win. I was expecting to see more of you, but it didn’t seem to be happening, So I decided I would get you I the ring myself. Besides, I’d think you would find boxing easier than that revolving door you ladies call a stable.”

Elizabeth frowned: “We have settled down now. Amy Acker and I are co-managers, I admit it took us a little while longer than I was hoping for, but things are settled down now. So when your offer came around I decided I could finally spare the time. I will acknowledge that you;ve got quite a record. You sure this isn’t about fattening your ‘Win’ record?”

“I said before, don’t sell yourself short. Sure, I’m a challenge but I always tell rookies you don’t learn much fighting jobbers and cupcakes. Fighting a good opponent will at least teach you what not to do. That said, I will be out doing my best to put you on the canvas until the rf counts ten.”

“That’s boxing. I accept that, but I am also a Queen and we like to win. We especially like to win against fighters no one expects us to beat. Which would be you in my case.”

“Then we will meet in the ring and see what happens. You never really know until the leather starts flying,” Troian says with a smile.

“No you don’t and there can always be surprises,” Elizabeth said with a smile.

They meet again in the ring. Elizabeth Lail was in a light purple one piece with dark purple gloves and boots. Her hair is in a ponytail. Troian Bellisario is in a silver one piece with matching gloves and boots. Hair is in a battle braid. The ring instructions are quick and to the point. Gloves crisply tapped and the two go to their corners. The bell rings.

R1: Troian and Elizabeth both move out promptly at the bell. They move to the center of the ring and circle each other for a few moments and then charge in. Elizabeth going to Troi’s ribs with her opening punches. Troian is more interested in Elizabeth’s jaw with her first shots. Then Elizabeth puts a deep hook against Troian’s rib and then another. Troian is stung and lashes back at Elizabeth’s ribs, The two are moving from side to side as they strike straight into each other’s bodies, but also their flanks. Hard punching at short range and Elizabeth shows she’s got some power as her blows are clearly hurting Troian, eventually forcing her to pull back just before the bell. The round is close, but it is Elizabeth Lail who comes out ahead this stanza.

R2: Bell sounds and again they move out at a good, but not reckless speed. However Troian now is directing her attention to trying to get at Elizabeth’s head. Elizabeth seems caught by surprise as the first of these punches smack her hard to the jaw and chin. Then Troian strikes at the sides of Elizabeth’s head. Elizabeth shaken up as these punches strike home and she drops back with her mitts up high protectively. Troian now goes to the body, steadily working over breasts, ribs and stomach areas. Elizabeth now reacts defensively with her jab. The jabs cause Troian to move around more, but she maintains her pressure to the bell. Round goes wide to Troian Bellisario.

R3: Elizabeth now seen to be moving much faster at the bell and comes at Troian swinging hard, She is able to use a right hand feint to then blast Troian hard to the side of the face with her left. Then a right makes Troi’s head bobble and she tries to get away. Troian’s high guard is disordered and Elizabeth takes advantage top score more hots to Troian’s face, jaw and chin. Troian looks wobbly in retreat, but finally gets her tight high guard in place. Elizabeth immediately switches to a slashing attack on Troian’s ribs. She works them over and over with crisscrossing rights and lefts. Troian hunches up and is gasping at the bell. Elizabeth Lail wins round wide.

R4: Elizabeth and Troian now both are fast out of their corners. Elizabeth seems eager to pick up where she left off and Troian looks intent on reversing the beating she took in the last round. They start slinging leather as soon as they are in range. The blows land to the head and to the body in dizzying combinations. It can be observed that both are making head-swiveling shots to the jaw and knocking back heads with chin shots. These are quickly followed by ravaging hooks to the body. The repeated head blows start to take a toll as the punching grows slightly slower and gradually it comes to another round of body busting action. These blows are now drawing audible gasps and gurgles and bodies are trembling with the shock waves from each new punch. The bell finally ends this exhausting struggle and the two make their way to their corners. The judges add up the points and it turns the round was a DRAW.

R5: Both corner crews working hard to repair the damage to their fighters from the previous round. At the bell, Troian moving out of her corner quickly, but Elizabeth is moving more slowly. Troian moves in quickly and she starts probing with jabs at Elizabeth’s head and body. Elizabeth trying to react, but she is sluggish in her responses. This seems all Troi needs to know. She slams a flurry of hooks into Elizabeth’s midsection. Elizabeth jerks forward with a groan and her gloves drop down protectively. Troian then strikes with lightning like speed toi Elizabeth chin and jaw. Elizabeth hit hard, she shudders, can’t get her gloves up as she tries to step forward AND DOWN SHE GOES! Elizabeth falls forward onto her face and then rolls to her side. Her arms are around her battered midsection. Troian walks quickly to the neutral corner as the referee counts. Elizabeth tries to get up, but can’t seem to manage it. She is on all fours, trying to rise again when she hears:”

“NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!

THE WINNER TROIAN BELLISARIO DEFEATS ELIZABETH LAIL KO5!

After: Troian hastens over to check on Elizabeth and even assists her back to her corner. She gives the downcast Elizabeth a hug before leaving her for her corner crew.

“Honestly, I think she just needs a little more seasoning and she can be a real threat to opponents near to own age. I could even see her testing up-and-comers to see if they are for real. That is an honorable position with any organization.:” Troian observes.

“While I appreciate the career advice from, Troian, I’ll just have to see if and when I will fight again.” Elizabeth Lail comments the following day. “Troian is very good, Better than me at this point, but I hope I get the chance to try her again when I’ve gotten more fights under my belt. That sounds like I want more? Yes, I guess I do, but we’ll have to see.”

It interesting fight as newcomer Elizabeth Lail was put through her paces by veteran Troian Bellisario. She won a couple of rounds and got into hard-fought draw in the 4th, but she clearly had recovered by the start of the next round. Troian was then able to finish her off. Hopefully, Elizabeth will do better in future fights. Nice win for Troian and her fans hope for more of them to come.
