Anya Taylor-Joy vs Sydney Sweeney II (Writing: LMW / Results: Lookout!)
Empress of the Body Saddle Title
Anya Taylor-Joy (Empress) (28, 5’7, 34-7 FCBA, League of Mighty Women)
Sydney Sweeney (26, 5’3 ½, 23-11 FCBA, GBS & Lookout! Boxing)
Pre-Fight: League of Mighty Women’s Anya Taylor-Joy will be making her fifth defense of the Empress of the Body Saddle Title against Sydney Sweeney, who is co-managed by Global Boxing Syndicate and Lookout! Boxing. They fought two years ago with Anya emerging victorious after six rounds, so the Empress will be looking to repeat that performance to keep her title and extend her twelve-fight winning streak. As for Sydney, she will be looking to avenge her defeat and win her second title after a three-year dry spell. Both fighters have been vocal about their dislike for each other lately, so there is a good chance that this bout could turn into a grudge match.
The Empress looks confident as she makes the first statement during the pre-fight press conference. “I said it before, I’ll say it again. I’m at the top of FCBA and that is my rightful place. So no offense, but do you really think a tit fighter like Sydney can dethrone the Empress!? I beat her before and I will beat her again to remind her that she is beneath me in every possible way. She is robust though, so I expect her to be a fine steed! I’m looking forward to beating her up and then riding her hard, so I hope she won’t disappoint me as my little horsie!” As she finishes her statement, Anya gives her opponent a condescending look.
Sydney is clearly angered by Anya’s words and attitude, so she directly addresses her opponent. “You are so annoying Anya! I’m done with your rudeness and I will make you pay for it! My curves will stop your twiggy ass this time and I will make you cry as I ride you! I’m going to prove that I’m the better blonde by taking away your crown, but that won’t be the only thing that I take away from you!” After Sydney’s statement, both fighters get up and come face to face for a staredown. To emphasize her height advantage, Anya steps closer to her opponent and looks down to her. Sydney’s frustration comes to a boiling point, so she shoves Anya and causes a ruckus. However, the security and both camps act fast enough to separate the fighters before they can cause any harm before their bout.
It is fight night and Empress Anya makes her entrance first, followed by her coach Shania Twain and her stablemate Ana de Armas, who is carrying the Empress’ body saddle, which is black with a gold crown on one side and ‘Empress Anya’ written in pink on the other side. The fans cheer loudly for her as she greets them with a royal wave.
Anya is wearing a black sports bra, matching shorts, pink gloves and boots with her hair tied in a high ponytail.
Sydney enters the arena next and she is accompanied by her coach Julie Benz. She also gets a loud cheer from the fans as she blows kisses and waves at them on her way to the ring. Once she enters the ring, she gives a cold stare to her opponent.
Sydney is wearing an all white boxing attire with sports bra, shorts, gloves and boots, while her hair is tied in a loose ponytail.
Both fighters come to the center of the ring to listen to the final instructions of the referee, but neither of them goes for the touch of gloves as they stare at each other with disdain. After a tense moment, they step back to their respective corners and we are ready for 10 rounds of action for the Empress of the Body Saddle Title!
Fight: Round 1: Despite the hatred between these fighters, we are getting a slow start to the bout as neither of them wants to make a mistake and give an early advantage to their opponent. Sydney looks for ways to get inside, but she doesn’t force the issue yet. However, it is Anya who establishes her jab early on to control the action the way she wants and keeps tagging her opponent from range. Sydney occasionally gets inside and lands a couple of body shots, but Anya quickly dances her way out, using her long legs to make sure she maintains her distance with the challenger. There are no fireworks in the opening round that the fans were hoping to see, but this could be just the calm before the storm. LMW corner is happy with it though as Anya’s punch count gives her the slight edge to win the opening round.
Round 2: Anya continues to employ the same tactics that worked for her in the opening round, using her jab to keep the distance and tag her opponent with one-twos from range. Sydney is not happy with the status quo though, so she is increasing the pace to get more opportunities to get inside. She ends up eating a few more shots to the face at first, but then she finds her way inside to work Anya’s body. The Empress is not willing to engage with her opponent from close distance, so she uses her footwork to get away again, but this time Sydney’s relentless pace makes it harder as the challenger just keeps coming back. Sydney is controlling the action now as she bangs Anya’s abs and ribs with body shots. Anya lands a couple of counters as well, but she is mostly focusing on defense now as Sydney is looking to do some damage. Sydney lands another hook to the ribs after the bell, which causes an argument between the two, but the referee quickly separates them and orders them to their corners. The challenger and her team look happy as she wins that round wide and ties the score.
Round 3: Sydney on the attack again as the third round begins. She ups the pace again to overwhelm her opponent from the get-go. She lands a few good body shots that forces Anya back to defending. The Empress uses forearm pushes to create separation and then uses her long legs to get away and put some distance between the two. Sydney really wants to punish that body though, so she quickly closes the distance and steps back in. This time Anya meets her with a huge uppercut to the chin though. Sydney gets caught off guard and backs away immediately as she looks a bit rocked by that uppercut. Anya starts blasting her opponent’s guard with one-twos to force an opening and she eventually splits her guard and lands a stiff straight on the nose. Sydney quickly clinches with her opponent to prevent sustaining more damage. After the referee separates them, the Empress controls the action, peppering Sydney from mid-range with short combinations to the head. Sydney stays on the defense and tries to make it to the break to recover as she still looks hurt from the earlier exchange. Anya looks happy as the bell rings as she wins the round wide and takes the lead on the scorecards again.
Round 4: Both fighters come forward and meet in the middle, ready to exchange as Anya wants to press on with her advantage, while Sydney wants to fight her way back in as she clearly recovered during the break. They engage at the center with Anya landing a jab-straight combination to the head and Sydney answering with a couple of hooks to the ribs. Anya scores with a hook up top, but misses with the second one as Sydney ducks to land another hook to the ribs and then comes up with an uppercut to the chin. Anya is quick to clinch after that shot and things get physical as both fighters try to pull and push each other around. The referee ends up having to separate them. After a short exchange they end up clinching again and the action continues with frequent disruptions with clinches in this round. The physical nature of these exchanges suits Sydney’s style and she edges her opponent to win the round and tie the score one more time.
Round 5: Both fighters are willing to go at it again at the start of the fifth round. After a few blocked shots, Anya finds an opening with a straight. Unlike last round, the Empress isn’t staying for a longer exchange though as she steps back and circles around after landing her shot. Anya is putting her long legs to work as she constantly moves around, stepping in to throw a short combination and then step back and keep circling. Sydney is having trouble keeping up with the pace. She lands a couple of good shots, but she misses with most of her attempts as she tries to follow her opponent. Anya is much more precise as she keeps scoring with short combinations. As she racks up the number of punches landed, the Empress wins the round wide and retakes the lead.
Round 6: Anya pushes the pace as she keeps her feet moving and throws combinations from range. She keeps circling the ring, so Sydney starts to look for opportunities to cut the angle. She finds these opportunities and capitalizes on them by quickly getting inside by cutting the angle and punishing her opponent’s body with rapid shovel hooks. Anya pushes the challenger away and lands a one-two combination before backing away, but before long, Sydney finds her way inside again. It turns into a physical brawl again and Sydney enjoys it as she overwhelms her opponent with her power this way. The Empress goes for the body, showing she can slug it out too, which leads to some fierce exchanges, but Sydney still has the edge. The bell puts an end to this action. Sydney wins the round and ties the score again as we go into the later stages of this title fight.
Round 7: Both fighters are feeling the effects of this grueling fight at the start of the seventh round, but fueled by their hatred for each other, they meet at the center, willing to trade punches once again. As Sydney steps in, Anya feints with a jab and then lands a stiff straight right on the nose. Sydney quickly steps back and raises her guard as she looks hurt and blood starts to drip from her nose. This sight excites the Empress as she starts throwing more combinations to put her opponent down. Anya drives her opponent back with three/four-punch combinations and Sydney finally ends up backing into the ropes. She tightens her guard up top to protect her face as Anya blasts her with hooks. The Empress switches targets and goes for the body with some strong hooks. The referee is watching the action closely for a potential stoppage, but Sydney saves herself with a perfectly-timed clinch. It only gives her a momentary respite though as Anya comes back with more hooks once they get separated. Anya tests her opponent’s chin with some strong hooks, but Sydney refuses to go down. Despite her opponent’s efforts, Sydney makes it to the bell and survives to fight another round. She is in rough shape though.
Anya completely dominated that round, so she takes a significant lead on the scorecards with only three rounds left. However, she is looking a bit tired and frustrated as she complains to her coach about being unable to put Sydney down that round. Shania massages Anya’s arms as she encourages her “Don’t get stuck on that. You are winning this fight, so just keep what you are doing and she will go down eventually! And if she doesn’t, that’s alright too, because you will still be the Empress if you keep this up!” Things are more hectic at the opposite corner. Sydney winces as they try to stop the bleeding, while Julie tries to explain the urgency of the situation to her fighter. “Look, we are losing and there is not much time left! It is not over though and she is getting tired, so it is our time to strike! I know you are angry, so I want you to channel that anger and give her all you got, right now! Let’s go!”
Round 8: Anya clearly wants to put her opponent down as she puts the pressure on her right away. Her punches are not as precise as they used to be in the previous rounds though as she starts to get sluggish. Sydney is cautious early on as she is still recovering after a rough round, so she focuses on avoiding her opponent’s attacks first, but seeing that Anya is slowing down, she sees her opportunity to get back in this fight. She ducks under a sloppy hook to land a body shot and then comes back up with a hook of her own to the chin. Anya tries to fire back with more hooks, but they are off-target too as Sydney easily avoids them and counters with her own hooks. Anya looks hurt as she unsteadily backs away. How the tables have turned!? Sydney puts the pressure now as she constantly steps in and lands to the body and the head. This time Anya backs into the ropes as Sydney blasts her with strong hooks. The Empress tries to protect herself, but her guard is starting to drop. After blocking a few more shots, Anya’s guard completely drops as Sydney hits her with a massive hook to the ribs. A stiff one-two bends Anya over the ropes and as she bounces back, Sydney drops her with a vicious right hook! Sydney flexes her arms as she walks over to the neutral corner and the referee begins the count. 1…2…3… Anya is lying facedown on the canvas, looking out of it, but the referee is giving the Empress a chance with a full-count 4…5…6… she starts to move her limbs and slowly tries to push herself off the canvas 7…8… she gets on all fours 9…10! Anya is still on all fours, unable to get up as the count passes her by! It is all over! We have a new Empress!
Official Result: Winner via KO in round 8 and the new Empress of the Body Saddle, Sydney Sweeney!
Post-Fight: Sydney quickly walks over to Anya, who is still on all fours, and starts taunting her. “No offense, but I just beat your ass! Don’t bother getting up, this is where I want you.” In the meantime, her coach Julie and her stablemate Hailee (Steinfeld) go over to the LMW corner and receive the Empress’ body saddle from Anya’s corner team. They come over to put the saddle on Anya, but Sydney stops them. “Unlike this fragile bytch, I will do my own saddling.” and with that Sydney takes the saddle and places it on Anya’s back, not so gently. Anya winces as Sydney makes sure that the straps are extra tight and continues to taunt her defeated rival. “The saddle says ‘Empress Anya’ on it, but you will be the one getting ridden around the ring, that must be embarrassing! Today I proved that I’m the better blonde though, so you should be honored to carry me around!” Then, she mounts Anya and commands her to start moving. Anya obeys the command, but Sydney is not happy with the pace, so she starts spanking Anya as she tells her to go faster and faster. Not in a position to argue, Anya tries her best to please the new Empress, but she is clearly struggling as she goes faster and tears start to stream down her face. She slows down at the end of the first lap, but Sydney spanks her again and tells her to continue. Still sobbing, Anya obeys and continues, but she collapses after completing two-thirds of the lap and is unable to continue even after a couple of spanks, so Sydney decides to dismount her. Looks like the former Empress’ humiliation is not over as Sydney dismounts her and then sits next to her, grabbing Anya’s hair and lifts her head up. “You are just a fragile bytch, Anya! I told you I will make you cry and then smother you, so you know what’s coming next! Oh and if you are stupid enough to challenge me again, I will happily take your bantam belt away too!” With that, Sydney places Anya’s tear-stained face between her ample breasts, a warm and sweaty embrace as Sydney locks in the breast smother. Already groggy and exhausted, Anya quickly goes to sleep without a fight. Sydney, the new Empress, stands triumphant over the unconscious and still saddled Anya to end the show.
