Before: Cat Bell emerging as one of the best all around fighters in the FCBA, but her last loss was to fitness beauty and sparring partner of Cindy’s, Leanne Tweeden. Margolis in the Tweeden mold and Leanne working hard with Cindy in camp to fashion another upset. Margolis in pink bikini, Bell in electric blue bikini, white shies and gloves for both.

During R1: Margolis not hanging back, brings the fight right to bell with risky right but rewarding pressure. Margolis jabbing with bell and pulling the straight right hand on top, catches Cat repeatedly with her left extended as Bell lands once for every two Cindy punches. Bell in retreat, breaking down slightly under the heat and in the final minute, a hard Margolis one-two slams through the guard to spill Bell to the ropes. Bell sounds to save Cat, but she’s woozy, sagging on the ropes as Cindy stomps eagerly to her corner.

R2: Cat’s legs still rubbery and Margolis jumps right in her, slugging with wide left hooks and straight right hands, forcing Bell to the perimeter of the ring early. Banging rights on the jaw have Cat stepping in fence post holes, and Margolis steps in and out, making Bell miss, swing off balance, and stepping into the brunette before cat can cover up. With Bell falling apart midway through, Margolis lands a series of stunning right hands on the jaw, sending Bell reeling to the canvas, legs splayed crazily as she slips to all fours. Bell beats the count, but Cindy stays with her, bashing breast and ribs with wide swinging blows as Cat sits in the ropes to take.

R3: cat in bad shape, can’t recuperate from the blitz and Margolis just pours it on. The wide left hand brushes Cat’s weak guard away and leaves her open for slashing rights on the lips, pounding the brunette around the ring and leaving her glassy eyed. Bell soaking up bombs, legs trembling, fists struck crazily high and well out front as Cindy loops and slices her blows with impunity. At the two minute mark, a sweeping left, followed by a short right cross drills Cat’s head back and she crashes to her back at the ropes, barely beating the count on rubbery legs. Once again Margolis closes out of the round with with a meaty beating of Cat Bell’s chest and sides, completing her third straight shutout round in a row!

R4: Margolis takes round to recover, having set a torrid pace to finish Bell and not getting it done. Bell, face swelling badly, grimly stalks her blonde foe, cutting off the ring behind a spearing jab and cornering the arm-weary blonde. Margolis diving in to clinch, bogs Cat down, careful to tie up the brunette’s right hand at every opportunity.

R5: Margolis with her hands low, circling away and bell establishes a stepping rhythm, pounding out the jab with authority and once again trapping Cindy in the corners. Margolis getting outboxed two-thirds of the way, but in the final minute, she leaps in on a last Bell jab, bouncing a right cross hard off cat’s chin and Catherine nearly sinks to her knees as Margolis gears up. Another savage flurry outs Cat in the ropes, gloves at her face as Margolis twists her hips into murderous lefts and rights. Cindy steals the round, cutting bell in the mouth in the process and leaving Cat to stagger aimlessly to her corner at the break.

R6: The power punching just keeps coming. Margolis nails Cat tet AGAIN with straight right hands leads over the jab, banging back Bell’s head and leaving her stumbling, helpless for much of the round. Margolis having her way, stepping in and out, circling, brushing Cat’s reaching arms out of the way and pounding at the face of the battered brunette with opportunistic rights. Catherine beaten from bell to bell swoons drunkenly at the break ass Cindy admires her handiwork with a savage glare.

R7,8.9:  Pitched battles at long distance as Bell refuses to quit, and Cindy slows her pace, stepping around center ring with Cat as the two trade licks at a much more  selective rate. Cat takes the 7th and 9th as the fight becomes more of a chessmatch, less of a gamble. Margolis boxing, suddenly aware that’s she’s winning big, gets conservative, tightens up, and begins to get outboxed. Bell with the left eye closed and having absorbed all of Margolis’ best shots begins to find Cindy’s face with her jab, and is landing a hard right in between the breast in these rounds.

R10: Cindy hears it from her corner and comes out slugging, nearly blowing Cat away in the first minute with a crazed assault. Margolis showing her fitness pedigree, punching as hard as she did in the first, drives bell to the ropes with wild lefts and rights which miss Bell desperately blocks. Margolis lunging, getting her long body behind the blows begins to score heavily as bell breaks down, and Cathy goes limp, slumping forward and taking disastrous lefts and rights across the chin as Margolis pumps away. Bell sags backward, just trying to survive and she soaks up another shutout as Cindy punches herself out, leaving nothing in the tank as she abuses bell in another hard hitting one sided round. At the bell, the virtually unscathed Margolis hoots in triumph, trapping Cat in the corner and refusing to release her until the referee intervenes—stunning unanimous decision Cindy Margolis.

After: After a shaky start to her career, Cindy records her finest hours, handing out her second straight beating to a TE stalwart and humbling a gritting Cat bell in the process. Bell with a disastrous start to this fight, could do nothing more than survive, fighting on shot legs and repeatedly shelled over the first half—courage and pride the only things that couldn’t be taken away from her. Give Margolis credit—her only hope was to hurt Cat and keep her that way, limiting bell’s effectiveness.
