Before: private session before WB brass and stars only for the informal WB house champ distinction. Williams not intimidated by Doherty’s pre-fight crap, and star down in the ring ends up nose to nose with Williams smirking at Doherty’s intensity. White sports bra and pale adidas terrycloth trunks for Williams, Black sports bra, red high cut bottoms for Doherty.

During R1: Williams showing no respect for Doherty early, wades right in and begins trading bombs, Shannen stepping back, lashes the incoming blonde with the wide left, then bends into the snaky right hand down across Michelle’s face and Williams is hurt early as she tastes Doherty’s power head on. Michelle staggery, completely falls apart, and Doherty goes to town, left hand low, banging right hands on Michelle’s ear, pivoting to the right to keep the angle open and slinging in another right as Williams goes wobbly butt. Disastrous round just gets worse as Michelle is cut, beaten senseless by Doherty’s punishing right hand, and by the final minute, Shannen is just turning the blonde, riding her left forearm on Williams shoulder, and clouting her jaw with short rights at close range. Doherty holding Michelle’s head in the crook of her left arm, kisses the swollen left eye at the bell and pushes Williams away. Endswell and smelling salts in Michelle’s corner, while Shannen happily reports “she’s got nothing” to her people.

R2: Doherty out to finish the young blonde, lifting the loose left off her hip, and snapping the right hand in whipping arcs to bust open that eye again. Williams just overwhelmed, catching bombs and struggling forward as Doherty plays tag. Shannen in hard with her head on the swollen eye draws a caution from the ref. and she continues to hold with the left arm loose about Michelle’s head and neck, pulling the blonde off balance and clouting her with mean right hands, looks like a slaughter until the final minute, when Michelle clinches up under Shannen’s arms, and muscles the brunette into the corner to reverse their positions. Final minute is savage Michelle Williams action as she beats her fists into Shannen’s stomach, palming up on the brunette whenever she droops forward, then continues with the carnage to the belly and ribs. Doherty groaning in pain at the bell as Williams shoves her up against the turnbuckles prompting Referee instruction.

R3; Doherty hurt to the body, much more circumspect this round, circling the blonde, stuffing in the jab from her hip, and leaning back from the slightest move from the blonde. Williams more careful to move her upperbody, crosses her arms and comes forward Frazier style finally cutting the ring off and give Shannen hell in the final minute. Doherty covering up, bending forward and back at the waist as Williams rolls her shoulders into constant rhythm of punches. Blondes touches the brunette with little meaningless lefts and rights, only to suddenly turn into a crushing right hand on the jaw or left hook to the ribs, Doherty screaming behind her bit, is shellshocked and rubbery legged at the bell.

R4: Michelle Williams begins to own Shannen Doherty, bobbing inside, bodying up, clinching under Shannen’s arms, muscling her to the ropes, then beating her down, Williams always touching Shannen with something, little timing shots setting up the odd haymaker to the body. Doherty gritting her teeth, turning with the punches, slaps the left hook across Williams’ face but can’t get off the ropes.

R5:,6: Doherty gets her legs back into a groove, circling left and picking Williams up with the jab., Michelle left on the outside, swatting at Doherty’s left, but unable to close distance as Shannen uses her underrated boxing skills to recover, pocket points.

R7: Williams fighting off Doherty’s chest again, beats the brunette about the hips and midriff, causing Shannen to clinch and hold for breaks, Williams walking Shannen around the ring, shaking off the brunette’s whip action body shots inside, and cudgeling Doherty into submission.

R8: Doherty backing up finally walks Michelle into another cracking right on the cheek, putting the wobble in the blonde trunks and leaving her helpless for the moment. Doherty plays it safe, getting back outside, and batting at that ruined eye with jabs to the bell.

R9: Williams come on, doing whatever she has to do to get Shannen on the ropes, then simply putting leather on meat as Doherty struggles to fight back,. Shannen pitching wearily forward, catches lefts and rights to her breasts and face, then gets shrugged back up against the ropes so Williams can really twist into those wide left hooks to the body. Doherty doing a lot of clinching, complaining this round, not much fighting.

R10: Michelle comes forward to the last, backing Shannen up, but midway through the round, Doherty’s backhand jab induces the blonde to duck early, and catches Michelle flush on the face with the right uppercut. Michelle hurt, swoons forward, and Doherty pivots to the right, bashing Williams along the jaw as she plunges past, and Michelle sprawls face forward in the canvas. Disastrous knockdown late in a close fight, and Williams a pathetic sight as she rises on her third attempt to avoid the knockout. Doherty waltzing in with her hands at her waist, palms down, and she strides into a looping overhand right that spanks across Williams’ face, causing her to spill to her left along the ropes. Doherty walking the blonde down in the corner, and viciously going to work with Hearns left hooks to the trunk-line, and slinging right hands on the jaw, Williams out on her feet, somehow survives to the bell, but she is beaten bloody at the break. Shannen  thrusts her fists into the air as Michelle can’t get her butt off the ropes, and the decision isn’t in doubt: Shannen Doherty puts the exclamation mark on in the 10^th.

After: Williams with a gutty performance, made Shannen work for it, but in the end took too much Doherty leather too cleanly. Shannen hurt by Michelle’s body shots, had to show some fortitude herself to come back late and put a beating on her young opponent. Doherty with typically crass comments after the fight, suggests that Williams quit in the fight much to the ire of Tank Enterprises execs in attendance.
