Before: Lindsay making the most of her WB contract, staying busy, looking to remind folks just how good she is. “People forget that I can really fight,” says Linds. “I hounded Jennie Garth off 90210 and I just have her a fresher course on me last time out—but that’s just the beginning. There’s a lot of girls like Amanda who need up. The FCBA’s talent pool’s really gotten diluted since my debut—a lot of girls are getting over who couldn’t have handled a tough sparring session back then, much less fighting for prize money. Righetti in a step up physically if not in class from Garth—good test all around. Righetti in red bikini, twist tie top—Lindsay in lavender string bikini.

During R1, 2,3: Righetti sets a sizzling pace, basically shitting Lindsay out over the first 9 minutes, Amanda’s eyes intent with concentration—she’s tapping out short, ratatat combinations off her jab, beating Linds to the punch systematically lumping the brunette up, price marching in, covering up and waiting her turn—she’s just letting Amanda get off all over her, responding late with the receipt as Righetti steps to the side. Amanda very physical, palming up as she sidesteps to push and spin Lindsay, throwing a shoulder at Lindsay’s mouth when Price tries to crowd. Righetti keeping her back clear of the ropes with brisk footwork. Punching patterns include lefts and rights straight at the guard/head on Price or rapid-fire hooks amidships, short right hands to the head—Linds just standing in and soaking ‘em up all up.

R4.5: Amanda taking rounds off, going to the ropes—Price gets work done./Lindsay happiest when she’s crowding, getting a body on Righetti, rising an arm around blonde’s shoulders to stabilize her for plugging work from the free mitt. Righetti able to fight on the inside like this, staying compact, protecting her head—but this is Lindsay’s style. Price able to grind away for points, gets back in the fight as girls dig in close to the Righetti corner.

R6,7: Amanda ups the tempo: problem solved. Price just following Amanda around, elbows in, dukes up at her temples, chin tucked—Lindsay walking Righetti down, but getting pre-empted as Amanda gets ff first. Tic-tac-toe—everything crisp and short fro Righetti, she’s tidying up, really digging hooks to Price’s curvy body and stout ribs while not ignoring the head. Linds a trooper, taking the shots well, coming forward, but she’s just not busy enough to pocket points.

R8: Price wrapping up and bulling Amanda to ropes—fighting off Amanda’s chest, it’s a different story. Price pretty slick at close quarters—Righetti can’t get her counter-hook off, winds up suffering as Lindsay bumps and jostles, tucking in  short, meanspirited bodyshots, clouting the jaw compact hooks and clubbing rights. Righetti languishing on the ropes bell to bell—she covers up and soaks as Price mounts late rally.

R9: Amanda halts the rally—brisk punching, crisp footwork dominate Price midring, Righetti committing to breaking through Lindsay’s barn-door defense up top, slamming away straight lefts and rights to finally crash clean to the face. Price put wobbly butt, staggering this round as Amanda creates openings—blonde immediately going body like a 10 year vet as Lindsay’s knees start to buckle. Classy shutout Righetti—she bumps shoulders hard with price en route to corners as a sign of derision.

R10: Amanda marches out to finish…Lindsay’s not ready to go. Price fighting gorgeously off the ropes, chewing blonde up with slick counterpunching, then going over to lead as Amanda backs off. Lindsay keeping her head in close, snatching at Amanda’s taut tummy, then busting jagged right punches inside puts Amanda wobbly butt—she ties up around Price’s elbows for a break. Down the stretch, all Lindsay as she shoulders Amanda to ropes, then tears away—thudding lefts and rights up and down the flanks as Righetti stoops forward behind a wilting guard. Amanda toughs it out—Lindsay chests up at the bell and tempers flare as the ref jumps in. Comes back close, but clear: UD10 Righetti.

After: Both girls nice n’ lumpy in the aftermath of a tough dime—Righetti busier, more accurate and better defensively, surprises Price tonight. “Her head’s in another era,” shrugs Amanda with disdain in post fight. “She still thinks Demi Moore’s champ—I mean—the sport has passed girls like Lindsay by. It’s the saddest thing in boxing: a stepping-stone girl who thinks she’s a legitimate contender. One of these days she’s going to wake up and realize she’s a gatekeeper at best.” Ouch.
