BEFORE: HBO hoping to position the winner of this contest for an Ashley Greene challenge - Elisha's got mixed feelings in prefight: "You know, my manager told me something when this fight was signed," Cuthbert reveals at podium. "He said, 'kid - couple years ago, these two girls would be fighting to get YOU.' That hurt, believe me. I've GOT to start beating these sluts and get back to where I belong. I still truly believe I'm top of the foodchain - I just have to start fighting like it!" Evigan champing at the bit - for her, it's a chance to knock off two rival movie stars in her age-bracket. "Cuthbert's definitely a measuring stick blonde," Evigan says in prefight. "You want to show that you can handle her punch; you want to show you can back her up and control her spirit. She used to be the hot young thing in the division, so it's important to punish her - let folks know that the sport has evolved. Bri cleans up: weight on springy left (lead) leg; hands up; she stabs straight rights/rakes across hooks, pummeling Elisha in her peek-a-boo guard. Bell: Evigan giving her blonde a withering once-over; Cuthbert panting/disheveled.

R3: Bri bouncy on her left leg - weight forward - her hands up, palms out as she jots in chopping rights, dabs jabs, turns over palm-down hooks at Lishy's chin. Cuthbert's hands at temples - she's trying to weave-in and hook the body, then scrambling to engage Bri at close quarters. Brunette springy in her stance, had to close upon: Bri fading back/pivoting to the left to draw Lishy in, turn her. Nice left uppercut off the left foot takes Elisha under her chin late - straightening her up, putting her on her heels as Briana takes the round.

R4: Elisha weaving her way in under Briana's jab, then hook/right hand to ribcage. Bri hunkering down, drawing elbows in: she's looking for more left uppercuts in close. Girls fighting shoulder to shoulder - shrugging uppercuts/swiping hooks/chopping right hands in tight. Splendid two way stuff - crowd thrilled by high work rate/jiggling buns; sturdy bodies and legs. Down the stretch, concentrated sequence of Neve-like hooks to Briana's liver finally backs her up. She's grimacing, hitting ropes for the first time, covering up earmuff as Elisha walks in, buries hooks to waist for points.

R5: First half of the fight up for grabs: girls fight for it tooth and nail. Cuthbert weaving-in, crowding, forcing Bri to stand flat-footed and trade. Briana happy to engage, fitting Elisha's chin or tits for spicy left uppercuts off leg plant-leg; tidying up on Elisha's head-and-shoulders with brisk, pelting combos. Cuthbert using a brawny left-shoulder bump to prep; swat-hooking ear to get Bri's right hand up, then dig-hooking down at exposed liver. Lishy fighting with mitts curled into hollows of her cheeks, elbows tight against her body: Briana's hooking blonde savagely just to the right of collected elbows. Bit by bit it's Elisha: she's backing Briana up in trade, getting out-touched, but landing the heavier shots in each exchange. Round finishes up ropeside - Lishy on top: Bri in sullen peek-a-boo, taking torso-blows as Cuthbert pounds away for points.

R6: Cuthbert quickly upon Briana with a stubby little jab from weaving crouches. Shoulder to shoulder...Cuthbert picking Bri's chin up via jerking little right uppercuts; hooks up top and behind right elbow wearing at Bri; heavy shellack poured with both blonde hands to brunette waistline. Briana compressed to ropes early: she suffers there most of the round, camping out in earmuff, taking body work. Cuthbert bumping shoulders, prodding elbows, pushing with her head: she's scuffing Briana up, processing her on ropes through 6.

R7: Briana baring her teeth, swapping her short left uppercut inside for Elisha's clubbing right hands and biting hooks. Bitter shoulder-to-shoulder fighting - girls punching-and-bumping each other around the ring. Fight eventually staggers to ropes - Elisha on top: blonde girl suppresses brunette for more points through 7. Bell: Briana concerned, frowning; snarling Elisha humbles opposing rack via late hook, bringing ref in hot.

R8: Briana making concerted effort to engage and back Elisha up: no dice. Cuthbert eating the left uppercut, but landing hooks up top and down below in exchange...trade favours Lishy. No trace of the gorgeous, springy movement Evigan showed at the start: she's bumping shoulders, grinding foreheads, fighting Elisha's fight. Cuthbert rubbin' and bumpin' her way forward - just clubbin' and cloutin': amidst the mindless brawling there's always that smart left hook dug deep to Bri's tender liver. Fight goes to ropes - Elisha on top: Bri grumpy as she covers up to soak punishment to bell.

R9: Bri still in good shape, but visibly demoralized: veteran blonde sees it, steps on the gas. Lunging palm-down hook catches Briana backing up: she's smote to chin, sent to her buns hard, bouncing all rag-doll on canvas. "MAAAKE-UP!" Elisha hollers with glee, jogging to neutral corner as Briana hauls herself up. Wobbly-8 Bri: Elisha quickly upon her with a brace of hooks...Evigan covering up forlorn, languishing on ropes. Cuthbert going at her girl methodically: left uppercuts scrape against the peek-a-boo guard-front; gouging left hooks bounce off waist/liver; swinging right hands take left flank. Poor Briana sponging it up: she's offering back wan left uppercuts from her guard, then forming up peek-a-boo again, thinking safety first. Cuthbert slamming right/lefts against sturdy waist at bell.

R10: Elisha walking battered Briana to ropes, processing her: once again, besieged brunette has to brawl for her life. Evigan spirited - baring teeth as she puts combos together off the ropes. Elisha clipped and clouted, but refusing to back off - she's right back at Evigan with both hands bashing. Cuthbert warned for aggressive forehead-work inside; warned for getting her elbows up as she's pushing Evigan into ropes. Blonde girl just a-POUNDING offending waistline - rights and lefts bouncing loud off taut meat. Evigan trying to sidestep Elisha, but Cuthbert just roping one or the other arm around Bri's throat to body her back down: stocky blonde legs stamping - muscular blonde backside ringing with effort of containing willful brunette. Even round going into the third minute: Elisha's steady commitment to body eventually prevails as she pounds out the 10th, and the fight UD10 wide.

AFter: Briana devastated - all busted up and hobbled - ribs badly bruised, tummy tender: she took it tuff tonight. Cuthbert scuffed up, but radiant: thrilling hard-working win puts her name on the front page once again. "After all Rachel's scheming, and Neve's backstabbing, and Dani's cheating - after all that - it's been too easy to write me off. But I'm tuff: I've been down, but I get back up and I keep punchin'! Briana learned tonight that Elisha Cuthbert's still the best in show, and this ain't no dance-class!"
