Before: Brandy a pig at the trough, helping herself again and again to a nubile young HMK rookies--Ledford swaggering as the victories mount up. Guest commentator Katie Holmes has been it before--doesn;t like it one but. "I can't believe the FCBA sanctioned this bout," says an indignant Holmes. During R1: Brandy staying in her corner, waving Scarlett on in--Ledford setting up a little James Toney crouch, left shoulder pointed at Johansson cooperating, dukes up, chin tucked--she jabs at brandy's shoulder--once,,,twice--throws in the right hand, tugs the hook across--all basic textbook stuff Brandy reads before it's even launched. Ledford cute from the pocket--right uppercuts clapping against tummy, turning her right to clips lefts tight across Scarlett's face--Brandy just tucking her shoulder in tight behind the swipes. Johansson rung up by the clean counters, set back on her heels, but always trying to come forward and do work. Breezy shutout Ledford--she's content to swat counters, tucking in punches to body, clubbing Scarlett across the face to the bell.

R2: Scarlett workmanlike, gutsy--Ledford underestimates Scarlett's determinatiuon, gets outhustled this round. Midring--Johansson's mouth on shoulder with Brandy, crowding the veteran--Johansson putting together pumping lefts and rights to the belly, ringing up Brandy's juicy melons and c;louting her across the the face as Ledford tries to step back out of range. Brandy ending low. easing her shoulder into Johansson, turning her, giving her angles, but not getting off much. At the bell, no mistaking the boil behind Ledford's baleful glaze--she's curt with her corner, glaring during the break.

R3: Brandy gets after Johansson--crowd queast with the expectation of an imminent stoppage. Midring, starts in Scarlett's belly--Ledford chopping and cuffing at that gut, shouldering Johansson backward, then walking her down. From the secind minute on, Johansson's pressed up at the ropes, hunching forward, taking a raw beat down from a heartless cougar. Ledford in there nice n' tight, short right hands smashing Scarlett's face to the side, thick hooks tucking in behind the elbow, uppercuts skidding off the top of Johansson's head as she bends too far forward. Brandy bumping, jostling for room, taking all she wants from Scarlett bell to bell. Ledford chesting up, letting Johansson hear all about it as the ref takes a hand.

R4: Brandy ripping punches from her waist--she bounces a shattering right/left/right off. Johansson's face early, sending Scarlett wandering in a fig. Ledford brazen, lays in mouth on shoulder and JOHANSSON WON'T GIVE! Scarlett shakes off the shellack, starts mining paydirt in Brandy's thick gut--Ledford's chst to stack her and clouting Brandy's mouth insolent right hands. LEDFORD'S WOBBLY BUTT! Crowd roaring as shellshocked Brandy ties up head and arm to run the clock, knees buckling at the bell.

R5: SCARLETT POURS IT ON! Ledford barely off her stool when she's tackled into her corner--Johansson making up for her rudimentary skills wth pressure, close contact and sheer effort. Brandy closing up her stance, going defensive--Johansson bashing away midnless to skull, shoulders, but fitting in a tidy little hook to Ledford's mouthwatering jugs. Brandy sullen, right hand at her cheek, left across her body as she rolls punches--she's outworked again as Johansson
chisels out hardfought points!

R6:   BOOOOO!!!! Crowd reacting with disust as a smoldering Brandy Ledford wades into Scarlett with a series if brutal low blows, cramping Johansson up and driving her woozy to ropes, Tidy flurry to the breadbasket, kaChing hook on the chin and SCARLETT'S DOWN! BOOOOO!!! Ledord, unrepentant, eyes flashing, scowling in neutral corner--Scarlett up off her haunches taking deep breaths for 8. Ledford slamming her way backin--Chuvalo right hands clubbing up top, clanging hooks--Brandy pouring leather to Johansson in hopes of prompting a stoppage. SCARLETT'S DOWN! Johansson bludgeoned to all fours, woozy--Ledford stoops to sink a cheap right hand into Scarlett's side, drawing groggy sob of protest. Another 8--Johansson lumped up, gloves to her eyebrows as Ledford moves in to finish. Rugged beating--Ledford pounding aay with crisp, short 3 punch combos, bumping and nudging, bodying up, getting beefy to keep Johansson under pressure--but kid makes it to the bell, Girls getting into it--Johansson barking right back at Ledford--enraging Bandy more with sheer defiance.

R7: Older girl spent up a lot of money last round--ON COMES SCARLETT! Tired lefford easing into her corner for pudgy rope-a-dope--she;s showing shoulders, turning with ounches, reaching around Johansson's back--meanwhile Scarlett's chugging away full throttle. Johansson POUNDING away to Brandy's proud rack--blonde groaning, clinching every time Johansson gets after jug. Scarlett sturdy, muscling Brandy off her, gojng back to the body to wear out those thirty-something legs. Final minute, Scarlett has to wear out those thirty-something legs. Final minute, Scarlett Ledford's guard drooping from body shots: ringing lefts and rights skids off blonde temples, clout blonde jaw side to side at the bell.

R8: Shutout Ledford, Scarlett's turn to suffer, gloves at temples, turning groggily as Ldford TEARS at biceps, breasts, tummy, ribs and chin in spanking patterns. Johansson stooped, taking a murderous bombardment, head snapping up from Brandy's tidy uppercuts, frame cringing from body shots, but Scarlett hangs in there to the bell. Ledford enraged--once again girls threaten overtime as ref jumps in.

R9: Brandy with short right hands, carrying them in with her body, blocking Scarlett on the chin--Johansson wobbly butt, driven topside, but refusing to go down. ledford spends a minute working Johansson over with robust shellack, but final minute--a spent Brandy Ledford lays in as Scarlett takes over! Johansson on autopilot--badly beaten and throbbing, but she's putting hands n Brandy, kneading that gut, jerking up into jug, backing Ledford up at the bell.

R10: HAMMER AND TONGS! Brandy snarling, swinging away hard rights and lefts as Johnasson ducks down, then digging in hooks behind the elbow, pounding off kidney. Scarlett coming forward behind her guard, jamming a short right to the ear, falling in to body Ledford back., Brandy roaring back with crisp combinations, bouncing sharp punches off Scarlett's stunned face. Ledford hammering out the round, but Johansson too stubborn to retreat--she stays in Brandy's wheelhouse right to the bell. Ledford with a cheap late left hook in the cheek--exhausted brawling breaks out as official wedges his body between tempestuouis vixens. Comes back UD10 comfy, Brandy Ledford.

After: Tense post-fight mill as girls won't lay off the jawing--Ledford wide on points, but Scarlett somehow scrounging out 4 rounds--Johansson showing tons of heart in standing up to the sport's most notorious non-HISC bully. "I take it all back," says a gleeful Katie Holmes in postfight."Scarlett took absolutely no crap from Brandy tonight--in fact--I'm not impressed with Brandy at all. She's winning, but these young gals are taking her deep, going the distance with her and wearing her out at times. I think Ledford's people should be worried: she's struggling with girls she should be mauling. having said all that, you really can't compare what Scarlett did here to my fight with Eliza--Brandy's no Eliza Dushku. You'd expect Johansson to look better, given the competition."
