Everyone knew that if salli fought the same fight she did against Carmen Electra, that ballistic Procter would pound away to victory--so Salli showed her versatility by attacking the sturdy blonde with movement, angles, combinations and hardnosed scrapping when called for. Procter showed her fabled durability, but the much stronger blonde failed to hurt Richardson throughout a hardfought duke--testamenmt to Salli's brilliant ring generalship on the night.

Salli fought at close and medium distances, spitting a sharp jab, stitching in and out on Emily, tattooing the muscular blonmde with rapid fire tic-tac-toe combinations. Salli worked the body--digging underhand rights and tidy left hooks to the 'plexus and paunch--then fell off to either side, usually taking the edge off Emily's receipts. Procter was her usual sturdy self, walking Salli down, looking to body up and wear the old vixen down on the inside--but Richardson's "me-first" punching policy prevented the blonde from applying steady pressure. Beaten to the punch more often than not--Emily waited her turn, and didn't work as urgently as one might have expected when she DID manage to get Salli's back to the ropes.

Down the stretch, having prepared and loosened up her foe, Salli sat down on punches with the express purpose of hurting Emily Procter. In the 7th and 9th rounds, the brawny blonde ate blistering right crosses, tidy right uppercuts and ringing hooks on her chin--punches hard enough to wobble buttocks and put a foggy stare on Emily's face--but punished as she was, Procter was able to absorb these shocks and continue pressing forward. the damage hhad been done however: riding a crest of gaudy, flush powershoits late--Salli cruised to victory on the cards, outclassing a game and powerful opponent with surprising vigour.

When told of a potential HMK promotional contract in the wake of this victory, Salli exclaimed, "That'd be wonderful! I've never had any kind of clout in my corner before. Better late than never!" If true, would represent a rare cougar-signing: who knows how many punches Salli's got left in her?
