Before: "Scary Jo? She's a one trick pony,"Kelly grins in prefight. "She's got a left and--can hurt you with it if she gets some jug behind it, but other than that--I se her as basically a flyweight puncher. I'll probably have to pound her jugs some just to break her down, and I'm gonna stay on her body like butter on a biscuit. I'm lookin' forward to it--Scary Jo's made to order for me." Johansson non-plussed--uppity Kelly showing zero-respect for the poll-winning phenom. "Nobody's called me 'Scary Jo' since the third grade," Scarlett warns, "and you wouldn't want to see THAT girl. Kelly's in over her head, She thinks I'M a one-trick pony? Gimme a break! Kelly doesn't even know how to box--she just steps-to and hopes. That's not what I'd call an Oscar-winning fight plan," Kelly in rambunctious purple bikini, black gloves. Scarlett in hulking white lace push bra; snug black cloth boy cut trunks; white gloves.
During R1: Hot two-wya tossing--both girls getting work done, but this is Kelly's fight. no southpaw advantage for Scarlett: girls are forehead-to-forehead, shoulder to shoulder--bumpin' amd a-sluggin' straight up. Thudding give and take sees Kelly herd Scarlett to ropes by the minute mark: girls fight on the same little patch of canvas the rest of the way. Johnasson left under her chin, right across her bod--she's more apt to slip the odd punch, get low and use a shoulder to nudge Kelly off: Clarkson's pretty much all offence, all the time. Johansson in damage-management mode down the stretch, just tyring to turn Kelly's triples into doubles; Clarkson digging hooks to Scarlett's paunch, working right uppercuts or clubbing overhand rights up top, and scrounging in on rack to take hard-working points in the first.
R2, 3: Same again--Kelly just ON Scarlett--swarming and smothering buxom blonde at ropes. Johansson being cute defensively--turning either shoulder into Kelly, dipping and slipping--but Clarkson simply overwhelming her blonde with constant, chugging volley fire. Kelly wriggling in, bodying Johannson to ropes when she's not clapping away to Scarlett's tummy or jgg--ferocious, Fishel-like tenacity as Clarkson goes and goes at her girl. Rounds fly by for Johnasson--she's a little wide-eyed, disheveled--looking bullied and harassed--and she's down 3 rounds to love.
R4: Johansson can't match Kelly's volume or vigour, Clarkson IS leaving opening for those courageous and patient enough to exploit them. Johansson muscled to ropes once again--closing up her stance with right shoulder pointed towards Kelly--Scarlett pulling the trigger on hard, short left uppercuts or drilling straight lefts out of her crouch, fitting'em in on Kelly as Clarkson's getting off. Vrilliant counter-punching out of the pocket--Scarlett "gets jug" behind the shot as Kelly says--tagging Clarkson's chin repeatedly, then ducking down/curling around to be safe from receipts, Final minute sees Kelly stumble back on her heels--her first backwards steps of the fight. Deep breath Scarlett as she advances, starts chopping out the right jab and pivoting to her right, looking to fit extra straight lefts onto the left side of Kelly's face at the bell.
R5: Kelly head down, pulling a blind right hand over top that smashes off Scarlett's skull--Johansson put wobbly butt, driven to ropes early as Clarkson retakes the initiative, Kelly all a-jiggle--pushing her way in head-and-guard, bumping and jostling, then getting off robusto: Johansson belted into stupor as Clarkson slams away tummy, tits, biceps, Scarlett hurt, but still alert enough to dip and weave her torso--moving her head just enough, avoiding any serious chin-checks, Fine with Kelly--she continues bully's work on Scarlett's decadent tummy and hulking rack--slamming away for crude, but hardworking and effective points in the fifth. Clarkson glowing en route to her corner--she's kicking JoJo's heinie and loving it.
R6: Scarlett getting too banged up at the ropes and she knows it: Johansson making more of an effort to use the ring. Challenge for Clarkson is to cut off the ring nmow--fight rhythm goes from constant slugging to a more tactical battle of movement. Johansson relying on cutey-pie left hand potshots--straight pokes from her screened stance--then quick scoot-stepping away. Clarkson the aggressor, carries the round by coming forward and enjoying strong moments when she can drum away at the ropes. Kelly takes the round, but does far less damage than she has in her rounds previous.
R7: Oh hat crafty Scarlett. She;s coming in on Kelly's left side--loosely tying up Clarkson's left arm underneath. Looks like girls are stumbling in a clockwise reel--but Scarlett's controlling the stumble--deliberately turning Kelly to her left--jamming away short chopping left hand to the left side of Clarkson's face. Jolting pokes, these--Scarlett landing blunt, tying up, walking her girl around--scuffing Kelly up and taking the play away.l Clarkson combative, but constantly wrong footed and uncomfortable here--ineffective as Scarlett mugs away for ugly points.
R8: Girls mouthbreathjing--reaching their limits. Scarlett using that controlled stumble to turn Kelly and jam her short left hands to left side of face, then cliunching as soon as Clarkson regains balance. Ref's breaks create distrance--Johansson filling the gaps with a quick right jab/straight left--banging away sharp up the middle. Weight on right (lead) foot--Scarlett's landing second and third straight lefts off her one-two combo: Kelly really starting to look a confused beauty. Clarkson not shut out--sheer enthusiasm sees her win through to Scarlett's chest to bang ot a few clubbing connects--but Johansson's ring savvy starting to show through 8.
R9: Scarlett dipping the right jab hammer-style, laning in close to drag a sweeping sidearm left fat to Kelly's paunch: gorgeous sinking body shot hampers Clarkson rest of this round. Johansson backing Kelly up with thjose briskone-twos; double straight lefts; carving right uppercuts off the front (right) foot and; forget-me-not right hooks as Scarlett's shifting weight to back (left) foot. inshort, Johansson has re-established southpaw advantage--working her angles, turning Kelly counterclockwise and picking her part. Kelly repeatedly chin-checked from the awkward angle--knees bending shabby, buttocks wobbling as she stamps around in fenc epost holes. Bell: Johansson flushed, clearly drained, but eyes dancing, She boldly tells her corner "I got this," as she comes strutting back into port.
R10: Kelly busting up--coming forward but not filling the gap the way she had in the first half: Scarlett's seeing her as well, potshotting her terribly. Johansson triggering a vicious left out of her closed stance--usually taking a little step-right to expose the left side of Kelly's face, then chopping in two quick downward slanting straight lefts off Kelly's chin. Clarkson taking a whale of a punch, but visibly hurt at times--curvy legs trembling when she has to change directions to keep up with Johansson. Scarlett placing the left to chin--mixing in right jabs to keep Kelly off balance; getting right uppercuts off the right (lead) foot--right hooks off the left (back) foot, Give Clarkson credit, she's rung up this round, but she makes a gallant stand down the stretch, pounding away toe-to-toe on Scarlett's tummy an breasts when blonde attempts to square away to close the show. Bell: leather still flying: ref has to push seething beauties apart, Comes back UD10 DRAW.
After: Girls still very competitive and combative--tawdry pushing and shouting in the aftermath as neither can accept the verdict. Interesting tacticalo elements amidst all the hard work and no-frills banging: fight boiled down to Scarlett'd attempt to establish her southpaw orientation versus Kelly's attempt to deny it. Clarkson the heavier handed lass on average, and throwin in more volume--but Scarlett able to deliver the more powerful single shots on occasion, placing them better, and proving more elusive on defence, "I kicked her tush," Kelly claims, adamant--hands on hips in postfight. "She caught me a few good pokes--her best shots--and I shrugged them right off, I'm better--that's what I take from this," Scarlett chortling at kelly's assessment of the action: "Gimme a break--I busted this girl up. I started slowly, but come on--I owned Kelly Clarkson in this fight. Once she started breathing hard and realized I wouldn;t be going away--she started quitting. I'm sorry--this wasn't a fight after a while: it was a beating."
