UD10 Spearritt!

Best known for spirited, but ultimately doomed battles against larger and more versatile Pene Cruz, Spearritt was yet another in a long line of Euro-gamines shipped in as fodder for a hungry American showstopper. After 10 dizzying rounds of non-stop punching--setting a new punch stat record for attempts and connects--the expected scenario of a European collapse failed to materialize as Hannah ultimately exhausted her little her little opponent en route to a shattering upset.

One of the delights of the 110 pound class is that frequently, fighters can hit each other flush, yet fail to move the opponent, leading to ever increasing volumes of punches in an attempt to overwhelm what cannot be destroyed outright. Such was the case in this contest as the girls rapidly came to believe themselves impervious to the other’s punching power, each committing fully to energetic swarming flurries in hopes of simply suppressing and outworking the other. Each round passed in identical, swirling fashion--with judges either scoring the heats as draws, or capriciously awarding one or the other beauty the point, depending up-on which side of the ring afforded the judge his view.

Although Kreuk has shown the ability to hurt fellow gamines--especially to the body--she was rarely given the chance to set and dig the way she might like. With Hannah constantly lathering punches at Kris, both girls committed to brisk shoeshines across breasts and faces as the best way to put mitts on meat with the smallest possible opening for reprisal. Torrid hup-hup underneath was also common whenever the beauties bent towards each other mouth-on-shoulder--slender arms working furiously to lap at trembling tummies. In almost continual contact, the girls wandered around the ring and along the ropes--bitterly mauling each other every step of the way. Had they been wearing traditional leather upon their hands, both would surely have been cut, but with more forgiving fur-lined mittens doing the scoring, faces were shiny, bruised and puffy with buffeting abuse.

With the fight essentially deadlocked after 7. Kristin finally started to wilt under the pressure. She began to mouth breathe, and her legs no longer held canvas: Each of the final 3 heats would be decided with Kreuk fighting gallantly off the ropes. Despite taking Hannah’s best shots, it was Kristin’s own efforts that had defated her: she was spent, utterly used up by the sheer pace and constant volley fire back and forth.; Spearritt revelled in her foe’s collapse, keeping up the same steady scrubbing, battering Kristin into exhausted stupor. In the tenth, Kreuk’s legs were visibly quaking, and she would drape her arms about Hannah’s neck while Spearritt jammed mittens to midriff downstairs--blonde working right up until ref’s breaks to ensure Krissy’s defeat.

A blubbering Kris Kreuk would demand an immediate rematch in post fight, but with the win, Hannah Spearritt had options. There’s not a gamine in boxing who wouldn’t look great with Hannah--and with her enthusiastic grin and tireless workrate--she’s a promoter’s darling as well. Just what Kristin Kreuk needed: another lithe little blonde tormentress to put down!
